When Ye Lu heard they were back, she disregarded everything, got out of bed, and ran to the hospital’s helicopter lawn outside, watching as Ling Kong and the others walked down in the night. Her eyes were filled with eager anticipation as she frantically searched among the crowd for his figure.
But she never saw him, and the light in her eyes gradually dimd.
Ling Kong approached her, saw her pale and disappointed expression, and supported her:
"We didn’t find him. According to your clues, we found that place. There was a leftover campfire and so food thrown there, but he was nowhere to be seen."
Ye Lu’s body trembled, reminded of the wolf she had encountered that night, her heart filled with unparalleled fear.

The next morning, Ye Lu flew back to North Arica with Ling Kong, leaving Feiyu to continue searching for Third Young Master Jun and to gather various information.

As soon as Hua Lunxi rushed in, his face was ashen, and he glared at her annoyed: "You really have guts, a pregnant woman actually ventured into Su Family territory, and nearly didn’t make it out."
Ye Lu, seeing his concerned expression and thinking that he was her only paternal relative, felt her eyes warm up, embraced him, and sobbed, venting the repressed grief of the recent period.
She told him about her and Third Young Master Jun’s experiences, being pursued by the godfather and Yiren, but she held back the godfather’s identity.
Only she and Jun Huang knew this secret. Such a dangerous secret was best kept known by as few people as possible, as a form of protection for him as well.
"It’s okay now, everything’s all right. You shouldn’t be reckless anymore. I’m going to hire a special forces team to protect you. Our Hua family’s daughter shouldn’t suffer like this!" Hua Lunxi was also determined not to let her continue to suffer.
But to offer protection openly, they had to have a reason.
