My SSS-Rank Skill and System is too OP in Modern Cultivation world Chapter 123 123: The Serpent's Abyss
—
Kent did not blink. He outstretched his hand and commanded his Hellfire to co out. Black fire, black as the deepest abysses themselves seethed up, eting the tidal wave with beastly rage.
The mont fire and water clashed, the battlefield of war went mad.
Steam burst in furious spurts, blanketing the ground in thick mist. The shockwave produced more shockwaves which ripple on the lake, creating waves of lesser size breaking on the shore.
Kent clenched his fist, doubling the intensity of his fla. He mocked the serpent saying, "Not bad, but why don't you give this a try."
He stepped forward, his full hand afla. The mist on him evaporated the mont it ca into contact with him.
The Abyssal Serpent retreated, curling its massive body before dashing forward at electric speed.
WHOOSH!
Its tail lashed through Kent, cutting through the fog in crashing strokes.
Kent barely managed to leap over it, the wind pressure alone nearly knocking him off balance. Landing on a floating rock, he grinned. "Not bad. But let's see how you handle this."
"Fast," he snarled. "But—"
He yelled and summoned his Frost Fla. A blue blaze of fire surrounded his palm, and his body cooled imdiately.
He flicked up his wrist in a wrist flip, and the frost fire burst at the snake's body. The ice attacked its scales, and it spread out its tendrils of ice, encircling segnts of its body.
ARHGGHHHHHH!!
The creature cried out in pain for the first ti.
Kent smiled. "Fire and ice. Old school combo."
The Abyssal Serpent shook the ice off with a rage-snarl. Creaking on its horns, The entire lake burst upwards.
Great tendrils of water ripped into the sky, writhing there in the form of snakes. Wrapping down across Kent, sheathing him against flight.
They spiraled around Kent, cutting off his escape routes.
"Attempt to run now," the serpent mocked him with a loud voice and an angry face.
Kent laughed. "Who wants to run?" He leaped upon the bobbing boulder—thrust at the beast.
The Abyssal Serpent struck forward, jaws wide open, trying to swallow him whole.
Kent's eyes blazed with determination. This was it.
Kent hurtled forward, flas swirling around him as the Abyssal Serpent's massive jaws snapped shut like a collapsing mountain.
BOOM!
At the last second, he twisted his body—barely avoiding its fangs as he skidded across the beast's snout. The serpent's breath was like a hurricane, sending him tumbling mid-air.
Kent regained control, flipping backward and landing on a floating rock. The lake churned violently below, its surface resembling a storm-tossed ocean. The rock gets crushed.
Kent hung suspended in mid-air, looking down at the roiling waters below him that twisted and writhed like serpents. The peaceful lake was reduced to a whirlpool, a maelstrom spinning into an abyss as the shape of the Abyssal Serpent erged from the depths like so kind of sea god.
Its plates radiated an unearthly abyss-blue color, each as broad as it would take to demolish a house. Its ridged, water energy-exuding back oozed with damp force, pulsating like a heart. Its glowing eyes fixed on Kent like a hunter.
And then, The sky grew dark with clouds.
Doomful storm clouds hung over the field, lightning crackling between them. The mont the Abyssal Serpent was fully manifested, the entire battlefield changed.
Kent barely had ti to react before giant waves surged toward him, each one stretching hundreds of feet high.
CRASH!
Kent teleported midair, barely dodging a wave that could have crushed a small town. The sheer force sent shockwaves across the air, and even though he dodged it, the mist alone cut through his clothes like blades.
"Alright," Kent muttered, cracking his neck. "I get it. You're the big boss."
The snake lifted its head, and then vanished— A shock Boom detonated beneath him!
Kent had rely a half-second of reaction ti before the Abyssal Serpent showed up behind him, as swift as a beast of that magnitude should have ever been.
Its jaws clamped shut!
Kent turned—fire blazed all about him—
BOOM!
He flew across the sky.
He barely managed to skate out of its reach on a shaving of floating ice, his body sliding along the slippery sheet. He bled from his arm, one of the serpent's fangs had cut through his spiritual clock, nonetheless.
Kent wiped blood off his lip and smiled. "Not bad."
The Abyssal Serpent erupted into laughter, its roar carrying out across the field.
"HUMAN, You are powerful, but powerful will not suffice to slay ."
Kent's eyes contracted. "Oh yeah? Let's do it. Hellfire vs. Abyssal Waves. Let's see who wins."
Kent hurled himself forward, fists blazing with Hellfire. The serpent let out a bellow, calling forth pillars of water that writhed into spears.
Kent dodged around them, skirting between them by the breadth of a hair. The instant he was in range, he clenched his fists—Hellfire Burst!
BOOOOM!
A monuntal blast of black fire engulfed the serpent's body, bathing its scales in unnatural, soul-searing flas.
For an instant, Kent thought he had the upper hand.
Then—The flas writhed.
Kent's eyes widened. "What—?"
The lake water exploded upward, drenching the serpent, extinguishing the Hellfire like a candle in the wind.
A geyser of clean water energy burst forth, and Kent stepped back. The Abyssal Serpent smiled.
"You cannot incinerate the sea, human."
Kent rubbed his face, tutting. "Alright then, let's add so spice to it."
He clenched his fist, summoning his Frost Fla. Blue fire raged, this ti it felt colder than winter's core.
The snake recoiled slightly, sensing the newest threat.
Kent growled. "You drank my Hellfire, but let's see how you'd do in the cold."
He flung out his hand, A wave of Frost Fla swept the battlefield. The snake roared, attempting to counterattack with a deluge of water, but the fire no longer battled as it had before. Instead, The lake iced.
The Abyssal Serpent's eyes went wide as the entire battlefield beca a frozen wasteland.
Its previously fluid terrain was now iced, limiting its mobility. It was ti to tell the truth.
Kent's hand instinctively reached for his waist, where an old familiar friend lay patiently waiting. The sword!
The raw sword he had made three days earlier in the darkness on the bus trip. It had been sothing for his hands to keep busy, a daily use item, not sothing else.
Now he could feel it. The Crimson Fla sword responded with his hellfire and frost fla, obeying his command.
Kent drew the sword.
A burning ember-red fla consud the sword, illuminating the battlefield in a spectral red glow. It was combined with both flas. An intense burning that could put the hell in sha.
The Abyssal Serpent hissed with fear for the first ti.
Kent smiled. "You rule the seas, then?" He waved the sword. "Then let us see how you fare against pure fla!"
He vanished. A path of fla ran down the battlefield, too swift to be tracked. The serpent had no ti to act before Kent reappeared over its head— He yelled…
EMBER SLASH!
A spike of blazing red fla with sword aura and sword intent tore through the air.
SLASH!
The left side of the Abyssal Serpent engulfed in fire, its own scales lting off like wax.
It scread and flailed with horror. Kent didn't move. He teleported again using his flashing steps and slashing Again And again.
With each slashing that left burning hot coals of fire, setting the serpent's once unyielding hide on fire. A final slash at the center—The battle was done!
The body of the Abyssal Serpent phased out of reality, switching between the physical and spiritual dinsions. Its power was dispelled into the air, leaving behind only a tiny blue-scaled white face baby serpent floating in mid-air.
Kent sighed in relief, allowing his sword to drop to his side. The little creature blinked up at him with curious abyssal-blue eyes.
1999 SP copied from the abbysal serpent (death).
The System beeped.
[Ding! Abyssal Guardian Defeated!
The Abyssal Serpent has left its child in your care. New Companion Obtained: ??(na it)]
Baby snake squeaked, coiling around Kent's wrist like a living cuff.
Kent smiled. "Welco to the team."
Windy dangled at his shoulder, arms folded. Purr! "Ugh. Another one?"
Kent laughed. "Jealous?"
Windy snorted. Purr! Multiple tis.
Suddenly, Ding! A system ssage cos,
[Host, Take the lake with you. Put it inside your void domain. It will be beneficial to the little snake.]
Kent faced the lake, now a frozen, barren expanse. He thinks, "So, this Lake is so kind of treasure. Once I get out of this Ruin I will look into the lake. For now let's focus on the current tasks."
He raised his hand, Void Domain: Expansion.
The battlefield was engulfed by a gargantuan dark portal.
The frozen lake, the shattered wreckage of the Abyssal Guardian, and little snake's origin, everything—were pulled into his Void Domain.
