All Yi Xin had to do was take the helm of the Sound Sect and hunt Eryke down.

While the task seed simple, Yi Xin felt a little unsatisfied with his current strength. All these golden strands were rely temporary gains, even if they allowed him to contend with Transcendent Martial Artists.

He didn’t like the word "Temporary."

Ever since discovering the power of his skill, he had always strived to transform it from "Temporary" to "Permanent." Yet, until now, he hadn’t found a single way to achieve it.

"Hmm." Ye Xin turned toward the ceiling, lazily staring at it from his comfy bed. "Maybe I could get help, like how the Main Body, Eryke, was able to turn the suppression of the world into his limitless strengthening of the Sword Will."

The Martial World didn’t like outsiders. If one was suppressed, then another path would open for them, this was the balance of nature.

"But how do I do that?" He yawned, twisting and turning in the bed. "Maybe if my skill leveled up, there would be a change?"

It wasn’t that he hadn’t considered it, Eryke had tried as well but for so strange reason, the skill couldn’t level up, as the requirents simply weren’t t.

"My only option might be Martial Arts," he thought with a touch of bitterness. It wasn’t easy to create a Sword Will like Eryke’s without being a Martial Artist, even with all the knowledge and skills at his disposal.

At the very least, Yi Xin and the other clones couldn’t accomplish it the way the main body, Eryke, had.

So his focus turned mostly to Martial Arts. Maybe he could modify them, adapt them in so way, so he could use his Golden Strands or Mana to cultivate it.

This was a viable option he was pursuing, but it hadn’t borne any fruit so far.

"I doubt there are any Martial Arts here more profound than those of the Sound Sect, the Demonic Faction, or even the Shadow Faction." Although Yi Xin felt a little hopeless, he still clung to hope for the future.

Gradually, he drifted off to sleep on the bed, exhausted.

Ti passed in the blink of an eye, and before long, night had fallen. Yi Xin’s brows twitched slightly when he heard a knock outside.

"Who is it?" he shouted, a tinge of irritation in his voice.

"Leader, two Martial Artists from two fad sects have arrived," a gentle voice replied from outside.

"Oh?" Yi Xin raised his brows at the words. He paused for a mont, thoughtful. "Who could that be, Tang i?"

"One of them wears Taoist clothes and the other Buddhist robes. They might be from the fad Taoist Sect and the Buddhist Sect," she replied.

Yi Xin hesitated. It wasn’t the first ti he had heard of the Buddhist Sect. Didn’t Chun Ma obtain a rebirth pill from an escapee of that place? That was how his step-by-step climb through the Demonic Faction had begun.

He couldn’t help but feel a little curious about the sect. How could such a small group possess such a treasure?

So he stood up and opened the door. Outside stood a pretty woman, eagerly waiting for him with a smile on her face.

"Tang i, didn’t I say you don’t have to stay around, acting as my assistant? You can just live your own life," Yi Xin said sternly.

"I have no one in this world now, and you’re the one who saved . So please, don’t push away." Tang i lowered her gaze, sadness clouding her expression.

He shook his head and walked off casually, and Tang i quickly followed after him.

As Yi Xin walked through the streets, everyone greeted him with warm smiles, and he returned each one in kind.

Before long, he arrived at the entrance, where the guards imdiately opened the gate for him.

The mont the doors swung wide, Yi Xin was t by two figures exactly as Tang i had described: one, a bald monk; the other, an elderly Taoist. Both of them smiled warmly upon seeing him.

"Amitabha, Benefactor, are you the leader of this settlent?" The old monk bowed with a gentle smile.

Yi Xin gave a small nod.

"We—"

"Bald monk, you don’t have to play word gas with him. Just tell him why we’re here," the Taoist cut in before the monk could even finish his second word.

Yi Xin’s gaze shifted to the Taoist, his brows knitting together.

"I know you don’t like my attitude, but this is how I am, take it or leave it," the Taoist scoffed before continuing. "We are offering assistance and shelter to all those who have beco victims of these turbulent tis, and your settlent is invited as well. If we gather together, we’ll have an easier ti of it."

As he spoke, the bald monk handed Yi Xin an insignia.

Yi Xin examined it, a simple bronze dal with a single word, "Invited," carved into its surface. "Is that all?"

"Yes, that is all. I have heard tales of your power, though I don’t put much stock in such rumors. Still, you saved so many people and provided for them, which shows you are not a bad person," the Taoist said with a smile.

"So you’re giving this because of that?" Yi Xin tilted his head.

"Yes."

"Interesting. Then I shall graciously accept it," he said directly.

"Haha, I like bold n like you." The Taoist extended his hand.

"What is this?" Yi Xin was completely befuddled. Was he imagining things, or was this ant to be a handshake?

"This is what we call a handshake. It was invented by our founder," the Taoist said proudly.

"...I see." Yi Xin shook the Taoist’s hand, an unreadable light flashing in his eyes.

"Haha, you are a fast learner. Don’t worry, we will survive this together," the Taoist laughed heartily.

"So where is your shelter for these turbulent tis?"

"Up in the mountains."
