"Just what are you guys?" Zarek spoke with an intrigued expression, observing the priest with curiosity.

He didn’t make his move, just curiously observing.

The first being he encountered from this race pretty much self-exploded, turning into a black hole that almost killed him, and now he was facing another one of these creatures who seed more flustered.

Although this guy seed more intelligent than the one he faced before, intelligence breeds panic and fluster.

"Hmm," as Zarek silently observed the creature, he looked at its body and felt his mory click, not his own mory, but the mory of Drayken.

"Mythos race?" He spoke with a layer of uncertainty in his tone.

"You know our race?" The Mythos priest finally managed to regain his composure, his face returning to a calm expression.

"Of course I know your race. Who doesn’t know the fad war god race?" Zarek’s blue pupils flickered with a strange, unknown light.

"What do you want?" the Mythos priest asked.

Hearing this, Zarek felt a strange sensation in his heart. He spoke in a hoarse tone:

"What do I want? Are you seriously asking that?"

"You..." The Mythos priest was startled. He felt furious in his heart, the human race was one that utterly humiliated them, and now, facing a spawn of the human race who was also a strong one, how could his murderous urges be controlled?

The Mythos priest pointed with his palm, and a ball of red energy directly flew towards Zarek.

Zarek narrowed his eyes, carefully observing the ball of red energy. He could feel a faint sense of danger in that ball of red energy, but that was about it.

The next mont, he shot forward through the air without rcy and was about to et the red ball.

Just as it was about to et his right shoulder, he leaned his shoulder slightly, and the red ball passed directly through him and went forward. After crossing a distance of fifty kilotres, it suddenly exploded into a cluster of magma.

As for Zarek, he was already in front of the Mythos priest, inches away from making his fist hit the priest’s head and blow it up.

The Mythos priest’s eyes were wide as he saw his own life flash before them. He couldn’t help but gulp nervously, fear and apprehension reflected in his eyes, impossible to hide.

But just at the nick of ti, Zarek stopped, and the Mythos priest hurriedly backed away.

"W-why did you stop?" he stuttered, but Zarek’s gaze wasn’t on him, instead, it was fixed downward...

The Mythos priest felt a familiar energy circulating in the air even before looking, and his eyes lit up with excitent.

"Mirabella, thank you for saving ."

That’s right, Mirabella flew out of the abyss, her golden pupils narrowing as she looked silently at Zarek. "Zarek, Zarek, I didn’t expect you to have such power."

"Really?" Zarek chuckled. He could feel sothing had changed inside her again. "Demi-god, what power do they truly hold?"

Mirabella was silent. Instead, her figure vanished and reappeared beside the Mythos priest, who was watching it all unfold.

"What do you want from ?" the Mythos priest stuttered hard.

Mirabella pushed the Mythos priest with her palm, and he burst into flas before launching into the air, vanishing in an instant.

Then she turned toward Zarek again, cracking her neck.

"Let’s fight again—"

Zarek was already moving forward. His telekinesis, his gravity, all bore down on her as he punched.

Mirabella casually lifted her palm and blocked his punch with a nonchalant deanor. There wasn’t a single change in her expression; it was as if she felt no pressure at all.

"This..." Watching this, Zarek was stunned. Then he looked with wide eyes as Mirabella pointed her finger at his chest. It was just a re touch; however, this single touch caused Zarek to launch backward into the wasteland below.

Zarek adjusted his flight by using his telekinesis and maintained his gravity. The gravity was twenty-five fold right now and it was no joke even for him who has adapted to the gravity.

"Damn it, it’s that thing again that you use to force backward." Zarek looked at Mirabella and roared with bloodshot eyes. He obviously overpowered her in strength, but sohow, anyhow, she managed to force him backward every single ti.

"Hahaha." Mirabella simply chuckled and pointed her palms forward again.

Zarek grunted, feeling a pressure descend on him. The crisp sound of bones cracking echoed in the surroundings; his entire body’s bones were breaking. His chest bones had barely healed, but now the pressure had caused his body to be bruised and destroyed again.

"Damn it... Damn it..." he could only grit his teeth, feeling a little frustration in his mind. If you can’t even see what you are fighting, obviously you would grow frustrated.

It was like the feeling that you have when you have a scab from a wound that just healed, but for so reason, you are not able to remove it.

Wouldn’t you grow frustrated?

That’s the exact feeling Zarek had while facing Mirabella.

His mind was still groggy whenever he tried to revert his body’s state, making things even more difficult for him now. Zarek was not so invincible anymore...

As his body broke down, Zarek closed his eyes and muttered, "I will just adapt to it."

His body continuously broke under Mirabella’s pressure, but he simply closed his eyes and adapted again and again.

Adapt. Adapt. Adapt.

Not only were his bones growing stronger, but his entire body grew stronger with each breath, filling him with unmatched raw strength and power, his defense increasing with every surge of strength.

He didn’t know what the power from the demi-god was, but he knew one thing: he was good at adapting!

Just then, the pressure on his body suddenly lifted, and he found he could move again. Zarek slowly opened his eyes and looked around.

"Huh?"

There was no one around him—not a single soul!

Mirabella had completely vanished, leaving Zarek dumbfounded.

"That bitch..." Zarek snarled as he steadied his balance, cancelled the gravity, and shot through the air using his telekinetic energy.

In the far distance, the Mythos priest landed on the ground and imdiately fell to his knees, tears streaming down his face.

"Why did you sacrifice yourself to save ..." he wailed, eyes filled with tears. "I just made you the saint, and the Mythos God chose you... now... I must bear the responsibility and lead the Mythos race again... what would I say to our god...!?"

His eyes were teary, crying without stopping, like a broken dam.

"I have not died yet. What are you talking about?"

At the sound of a feminine yet cold voice, the Mythos priest froze in place, almost choking on his own tears. He looked around as if seeing a ghost.

"Did you really think I would die so easily?"

The voice spoke again, and he tilted his head to the side. There, he saw a beautiful woman’s face, a human’s face.

"Ahhh..." The Mythos priest stumbled backward involuntarily, tripping on a stone and falling to the ground. His demonic face twisted into a grimace, making him look even more grotesque.

Mirabella shook her head and turned around to leave.

"Let’s go. We will train our Mythos race and beco stronger."

"What about that human?" The Mythos Priest was barely able to stand and hurriedly followed Mirabella from behind but still asked with a surprised expression.

He already vaguely knew the power of that human—being immortal and getting stronger—that was a monster that could never be stopped.

Even with the power of the Demi-god, the Mythos Priest didn’t believe Mirabella would be able to fight him for long.

Mirabella paused, and a strange tension rose in the surrounding area.

"Were you expecting to die?"

"No." The Mythos Priest replied imdiately, as if casually stating a fact, there was not a single change in his deanour.

"Hmph," she scoffed. "Do you know how to handle a monster like that?"

"How?" The Mythos Priest gulped hard.

"If you can’t beat him, then just run."

"Eh?"

"That’s right, just run." Mirabella’s pupils were deep. "I will ask our God for advice. For now, let consolidate my power and see what I can do about it."

"...Alright." The Mythos Priest swiftly agreed as they went on their way.

Zarek was still searching everywhere for Mirabella in the skies; however, he failed to find her. It was as if Mirabella never existed. Of course, she was more powerful than him, and escaping from him wasn’t hard for her.

"Damn it." He couldn’t help but grunt in frustration. In his eyes, Mirabella was rely a ans for him to grow stronger, and when he grew stronger, he could naturally defeat her. But now, she has disappeared completely.

And what’s worse?

Zarek barely had his body strengthened and hadn’t gained a single skill from Mirabella yet, which only deepened his frustration with her.
