The mont Arthur yelled, his aura exploded violently, sending large waves of mana in every direction. The entire atmosphere in the castle shifted as if it was hit by a strong storm. A very ominous feeling crept through every corner of the large place.
Arthur's face had lost all innocence and kindness and was replaced with pure, unfiltered rage. For a mont, one could even see a hint of evil lurking within his red eyes.
"Who the hell are you?! Speaking like you've got so divine purpose! You're nothing, you hear ? You're just a crazy person who thought they were chosen by a higher being. Nobody would choose you, weirdo!" He yelled loudly, spit coming out of his mouth. Then, he pointed his finger at the man. "You're trying to justify murdering innocent people for your perverted fantasy. If that's not psychopathic, then I don't know what is!"
Every single ounce of anger he felt in his heart was released in a wicked rant filled with hatred. The boy had never t soone he truly hated this much before in his life. They only interacted for a short while and yet Naless had done wonders in making the boy hate his guts. A feat not many could pull off.
anwhile, the man himself was in a completely different world. Smiling the entire ti, he stared at Arthur silently as if he didn't need to answer anything.
"Hahaha, I'm impressed. I'm truly impressed, Persona. Such heartfelt words could only co from a person who understands. Sadly, your understanding is wrong." He shook his head in disappointnt before he looked up. "You do not comprehend how this world works and the gears that turn to keep it moving. So gears are bigger than others, while most of them are really small. This world had chosen its destined people."
"Nonsense! No one was chosen. Those who did what they did did it because it simply happened, and it was their own desire! There is no greater reason like you claim." Arthur retorted as he grabbed his sword tightly with both hands.
"Hmm, I beg to differ. But, you're clearly not going to understand, Persona. I'm slightly disappointed, as I expected you to understand the importance of this task. Yet, you're just like everyone else, led by the nose to believe that this world doesn't have its chosen people."
For the first ti since Arthur walked into that place, he saw a new expression on Naless' face. One that wasn't amused or happy… Rather, it was angry. The sight of this man's angered look made the boy grasp his sword even tighter.
"Do you not wish to release your people, Arthur? You did tell that, didn't you?"
"Release them alive, not as mangled flesh," Arthur replied coldly.
"Hmm, but they're still there. They didn't die, nor did they disappear forever. That God is after all very generous, even with its insatiable hunger."
"No."
After saying that, Arthur dashed forward, attacking the man with even more vigor. His eyes were filled with bloodlust, and his desire to kill was written all over his aura. Every single thought in his mind told him that he must kill this man no matter what.
Even if he had to put everything on the line, and even if he could risk dying, he must kill him. The threat Naless posed to him and the rest of the world was simply far too big to be ignored. His intentions could very much destroy everything and turn this world upside down.
'The ti is too soon for that! It's too soon!'
*CLANG*
The sword sliced down like a flash, cutting through air itself with sheer tenacity and speed. Its power was enough to pulverize stone and cover a huge area in cold ice.
"Not good enough."
"Shut up."
Arthur quickly retracted his sword and ford a ball of fla in his left hand as he covered it with the blood claws. Then, he instantly attacked again, sending attacks from several different angles at the sa ti.
His arms moved left and right, creating large ranges of motion enough to overwhelm anyone. It was a relentless, all-out attack with the goal of at least landing a single hit on Naless. He knew that this man was simply way stronger, and defeating him will require far more than just raw power.
'I just want to gauge how big the gap is! I know he can easily kill . Ugh, dammit! What am I supposed to do?'
As the boy expected, Naless didn't find any problems stopping every single attack with a single hand. Arthur wasn't even able to make him use both hands and that made his heart grow colder with worry. This situation was far too dangerous to be under control. This battle as a whole was nothing short of a joke, and Naless was enjoying every bit of it.
"Hm, when are you going to give up? You sure are tenacious. This reminds of myself quite a bit. I never give up even when faced with impossible situations like this one. Perhaps that was how I was able to make it this far. Hm, I'm sure you would've also made it places if you had this attitude sowhere else, Persona. But, sadly for you, you were another victim of this world's greater will."
As he said those words, Naless suddenly stretched his second hand, and before the boy could even react, he grabbed him by the neck.
"AGH!!!" Arthur groaned as he tried to yank himself out. However, the man's grip was simply far too strong. He felt like his head was completely rooted in that place, never to move again.
"Let… go!"
"No, no, no. I can't let you do whatever you want for the rest of the day. We have a lot of things to do, and the ti is quite short. Frankly, I want us to begin now. I can feel it deep down that today might be the last day of my long mission. The day when the corrupt God shall be released!"
"Hnng…"
Slowly, the man lifted Arthur up, his eyes flickering with a wicked light. He watched as the boy was slowly strangled, losing all the breath in his lungs. His hands slamd, stabbed, and even punched the man, only for everything to deflect as if he were hitting solid, unbreakable tal.
"But, before we do that, I must make sure you don't try to hinder this delicate process. So… I must apologize for what I'm about to do now."
"H… uh?!"
But, before Arthur could even speak, his vision suddenly flipped upside down as he found his body flying through the air at incomprehensible speed.
*BOOOOOOOOM*
Slamming into the wall, he completely shattered it, flying through it into the castle's front yard. He rolled several tis and stopped, his body going completely limp.
"H…nnng…" The boy made weak attempts to breathe as his eyes rolled back. The last thing he saw was the man slowly approaching him from afar before all light was cut out.
Arthur… was completely knocked unconscious.
