Arthur looked at the description of the sword silently. It was still quite the odd item description after seeing it for the second ti. The sheer amount of mystery behind this sword was simply astonishing. Everything about it was layered with incomprehensible secrets and yet, it only made the sword even more terrifying.

'The fact it has four different modes. The first one is ice-related and the sword's na has the word 'Elental' in it. Does that an…' Arthur squinted his eyes.

It didn't take him long to figure out that the rest of the modes must also be related to other elents in nature. That idea alone made Arthur's face freeze for a second before his lips stretched into a wide smile.

"Four different mods… The sheer versatility I could have with this sword. I will be basically invincible!" He exclaid. To have a sword that can manipulate several different elents was a huge advantage that no other weapon could do.

It was not simply versatility but also a huge elent of surprise that would take almost every opponent by surprise if used right. On top of that, the sword was extrely strong on its own without the use of the different elents.

"Bullseye… I just hit the goddamn bullseye!" Arthur laughed. "But, how do I actually unlock the rest of the modes?"

It was the most obvious question to ask considering his situation. Arthur couldn't rember what he did exactly to activate the ice ability.

'Hmm, if I recall correctly, I just channeled my mana into the sword, and then it instantly turned into a sword of ice. Is there so other way I can activate the other modes?' Arthur thought to himself.

Looking down at the sword, he decided to give it a try. Closing his eyes, he channeled his mana into the weapon. Imdiately, the sword transford into the gorgeous sword of ice it was before. The temperature of the room dropped sharply as ice ford beneath Arthur's feet due to the extre cold.

However, surprisingly, Arthur didn't feel any coldness. He didn't notice this detail when he was fighting Lanter but it was quite odd.

"Hmm, it instantly activated the ice ability. I guess it has sothing to do with the sword itself rather than ?" Arthur muttered as he rubbed his chin. He couldn't figure out what he had to do to get the other modes and he believed it was sothing he had no control of. "Well, for now, the ice ability is good enough. I will make use of it."

Saying that, Arthur looked at the training dummy. The next step of his experints was to try this ability more naturally. He didn't fully grasp it during the fight and it seed to have far more technique than what appeared on the surface.

Standing before the dummy, Arthur took a fighting stance and focused his entire aura on the target. Taking a deep breath, he dashed forward and slashed the sword, sending a large ice slash at the dummy. Instantly, the target was frozen before it exploded to pieces.

"... Wow…" Arthur muttered as he looked at the large ice slash planted into the ground. "It literally creates ice out of thin air and it isn't any normal ice… This…"

*BANG*

Punching the ice, Arthur felt its robust nature, realizing that it was far tougher than normal fragile ice. That explained the reason for the attack's lethal nature and how Lanter struggled to even dodge it let alone deflect it.

"This sword is monstrously strong. I don't think I would ever be able to find a better sword than this for a very long ti." He muttered as he took another fighting stance. "I must master it quickly."

Then, for the next 25 minutes, Arthur kept attacking the dummy, trying to grasp everything about the sword. He quickly realized that each move had a different outco than the previous one and that depended on the nature of the attack, the angle, and even Arthur's body posture.

These small details, while amazing, also posed a problem for Arthur as that ant it will take way more ti for him to fully master the sword. To make it do exactly what he wanted required him to use it for a period of ti, and learn everything about it. It was not sothing he can learn in 25 minutes no matter how talented he was.

So, in the end, Arthur decided to stop when the alarm hit the 30-minute mark and finally left the training room.

"I have learned more about it for now. I will use it more in real fights."

Arthur's potential was still as high as the sky and this sword proved to be the perfect fit for him. It gave him room to grow along with it rather than eventually overpowering the sword and needing a new one.

Unlike Sanguine Blade which was quite the strong starter weapon, it eventually reached its capacity and beyond that, it was simply unusable. All of that fueled Arthur's decision to take this sword very seriously, perhaps even more than Sanguine Blade ever was.

As he was like that, contemplating his next steps, Arthur found himself outside the training center. The weather was as cold as ever and the night was rather calm. Taking a deep breath, Arthur started walking down the street.

However, mid-way, he suddenly heard a notification ring in his head. Stopping, he opened his notification box, only for his eyes to widen a little.

There, in the corner, he saw a ssage from a very familiar person. It was none other than Isla.

Arthur felt his heart rate increase a little before he slowly shook his head and opened the ssage. It was, as usual, one single sentence.

Isla: "Where are you? Can we talk?"

Arthur read the two questions silently. His expression was blank so no one could even read what was going through his head. A few seconds passed as people passed by Arthur, noticing that he was oddly standing there, staring into the nothingness.

Eventually, Arthur snapped out of his daze as he closed his eyes. He exhaled a wavery breath before he moved his hand and tapped the cancel button. Then, he started walking again. Quickly, he vanished into the darkness of the city.

anwhile, back at the headquarters, Isla looked at the ssage window for a few seconds. Noticing that Arthur viewed the ssage, her eyes widened slightly as she readied herself for a response.

In a very rare case, Isla truly felt nervous at that mont. She had been through enormously stressful things in her life and yet this particular mont felt far harder on her than anything else.

Yet, as if fate was loathing her, the response… Never ca.
