When Ria and I returned, the hotpot was already out on the table. Shizuku must have put it there.
The four of us sat together around the hotpot. Well, three of us sat, and one of us jiggled. But either way, we were all together.

Above all, new nus a regular event for us were an opportunity for to demonstrate how to eat different food. I dipped the chicken and vegetables lightly in the sake that Id poured into a little dish, and ate them.

When we were eating sothing like hotpot around a table like this, Shizuku couldnt eat unless she was in human form.
Since it was difficult to eat while looking at another version of ourselves, the three of us took it in turns to feed Shizuku.

Be that as it may, Im glad I was able to tell Ria the truth. Although I did it to make sure that she could stay here without feeling as if she was troubling , if Id gone on pretending that I was a wise sage, we wouldnt have been able to relax and eat dinner like this.
By the way, even if we hurry, it will probably take us about two days to get through the dungeon and reach the surface. What rations are we going to take with us?Ria asked.

Well, we dont really go adventuring in Japan. But there are plenty of things which keep for a long ti and also taste good.

The next morning, we gathered in our travelling gear outside the entryway. For the first ti in a long while, I locked the entrance door.
Now that I thought about it, Id always co running straight back to my apartnt, and there was always soone at ho, so I hadnt been locking my door.

If I lost the keys, wed only be able to get back in by bashing down the door to the entryway of the apartnt block. For safety, I decided to have one of them keep hold of the duplicate key.
