"Demon Fruit liquor..." Chen Ze was a bit taken out of the scene; actually, he already wanted to make a snide comnt the mont Lafra took this bottle of liquor out.
Are you sure drinking this won’t turn you into a duck on land? Chen Ze also wanted to ask Lafra if she knew soone who wore a straw hat and shouted about becoming the king of pirates all day.
"This thing is supposed to be liquor... but why doesn’t it sll like anything?" Chen Ze opened the bottle and took a sniff.
His sense of sll had beco a lot more sensitive than an average person’s, though not quite to a dog’s level, but Chen Ze felt his sense of sll was indeed superior to normals.
Chen Ze pondered for a mont and decided to pour out a little of the liquor to try it.
A stream of liquid flowed out from the bottle into the small glass Chen Ze had prepared, and then he was stunned; it was his first ti seeing liquor of such color.
Red, orange, yellow, green, cyan, blue, purple—Chen Ze thought it would be more appropriate to call this Demon Fruit liquor "Rainbow Liquor," as he had never seen a glass of liquor with seven colors like a rainbow.
This made Chen Ze wonder if he would get poisoned and end up in the hospital for a stomach pump, as this thing looked like water contaminated by heavy industry pollutants.
Chen Ze picked up the glass and sniffed it. Indeed, there was not much sll. After hesitating for a while, he slowly took a sip.
At the first sip, Chen Ze felt like he was drinking water, with no particular taste. Then in the next second, he felt as if his mouth were on fire, burning relentlessly, followed by a sensation similar to eating an orange—sour and sweet.
After swallowing, Chen Ze felt as if he had gulped down a ball of fire and a chunk of ice, a very strange sensation. The dual sensation of ice and fire stimulated Chen Ze’s nerves, but his stomach felt particularly warm with no discomfort from drinking strong liquor.
Chen Ze licked his lips. The liquor was delicious, and more importantly, it was especially warming to the stomach.
"But this thing can’t really be called liquor, can it? It seems to have no alcohol content at all." Chen Ze shook his head; he thought this substance should be called a beverage, a warm beverage.
"I think I can leave so for Star—it would be more comfortable to drink a sip during her period than to hug a hot water bottle," Chen Ze mused, and put the bottle of liquor in the refrigerator, then glanced over the restaurant.
The Nafi Siblings were chatting with Betty; Andrew had already finished eating, and now he was helping Betty wipe the table.
Chen Ze scratched his head and looked at his phone. It was already 21:59.
"Betty, co here for a second," Chen Ze called Betty over and reminded her to pay attention to the ti.
If a Black Dragon like Sebastian fainted at the sight of Hastur, Chen Ze dared not imagine what would happen if the Nafi Siblings saw Hastur.
"Okay, Manager, but does this an our restaurant has to close at this ti every day? And how are you going to keep other custors from coming in?" Betty curiously asked. She rembered that once the door appeared, it would keep appearing unless Chen Ze closed it; the door would always stay open.
"I have my ways," Chen Ze said confidently, as he had already thought about this problem.
He could simply wait until Hastur ca in and then close the door, and decide whether to open it again after Hastur finished eating. If soone ca in during the ti after Hastur left and the door was open, there was indeed nothing Chen Ze could do.
"Alright, I’ll go and let Elena know in a bit," Betty nodded. Since the manager had said so, Betty felt it was better to follow his direction.
After the Nafi siblings left, the ti pointed to 22:30.
Chen Ze glanced at his phone and then looked at Betty beside him, who was trembling, "Betty, if you’re scared, why don’t you head back first?"
Although Betty was protected by a magic circle, Chen Ze really did not want Betty to develop any psychological problems. Facing Hastur, an Ancient Ruler, the pressure on mortals was too great.
"Manager, I’m fine." Betty shook her head, stubbornly wiping the table the Nafi siblings had used.
The corner of Chen Ze’s mouth twitched. Betty had already wiped this table five tis, and Chen Ze felt that the table was now shinily polished. If Betty were a blacksmith, then probably a 1 1 would continuously pop up on the tabletop.
Not long after, the doorknob turned, and Hastur, with white fur... an anthropomorphic figure... walked in. This ti, Hastur did not maintain the initial black mist form but directly transford into the form of a young girl.
"Hey~ I would like a serving of curry pork cutlet rice~" Chen Ze gasped sharply.
It was not strange to Chen Ze that Hastur knew about the curry pork cutlet rice. After all, he had placed a sign next to the restaurant’s door just a mont ago, on which Betty had written today’s special dish recomnded by the manager.
The problem was, Hastur’s tone sounded very, very familiar, even a bit incongruous.
"Did you read soone’s mory again?" Chen Ze thought that was the only possibility, otherwise why did Hastur feel more and more like an ani character now.
"Yes, I randomly accessed a woman’s mory." Hastur gave Chen Ze a sweet smile, and the words that ca out were still so familiar.
"May I boldly ask, who is this woman?" Chen Ze took a deep breath, he had a feeling the answer he would get was not going to be very normal.
"Oh, it’s soone called Rie Kugimiya..." Hastur hadn’t finished speaking when Chen Ze rushed into the kitchen.
Hastur gave a smile. He found this world increasingly interesting. From the mory just read, He vaguely knew so things and realized there might be an existence similar to Himself in this world.
Betty swallowed her saliva; it was her first ti seeing Chen Ze so out of sorts.
anwhile, Chen Ze was silently frying pork cutlets in the kitchen; he felt he needed to calm down.
When he used to watch ani, Chen Ze had learned about voice actors and was familiar with the voice lines of so famous ones. The mont Hastur opened their mouth, Chen Ze found it very familiar, but since it wasn’t Japanese, Chen Ze truly didn’t recognize it at first.
"Wait, if Hastur accessed Rie Kugimiya’s mories, might He know so information about this world?" Chen Ze rembered an ani called "Nyaruko: Crawling With Love!" Although Rie Kugimiya’s mories might not contain it, Chen Ze knew that Hastur reading mories was like living another life.
So now there was a fifty percent chance that Hastur already knew there were legends about Them in this world.
And an Ancient Ruler who had settled down, planning to eat and drink at leisure—would They do sothing to pass Their boring ti? That was really hard to say.
Chen Ze shook his head, casting out all the thoughts from his mind. The pork cutlets were almost over-fried.
