"What’s this ’great prophet’ business!" Chen Ze covered his face in dismay, he really hadn’t expected the things he’d thought of to actually co true.

Chen Ze had made exactly one thousand matcha cakes before triggering a special effect that granted one of the matcha cakes a purification effect.

"Xie BiAn and Fan Wujiu have left, and it’s almost half-past ten... I really am," Chen Ze felt that if it wasn’t for the Quadruple Speed Slate that Hastur had given him, it would have taken even longer to make those one thousand matcha cakes.

"Betty?" Chen Ze twisted his neck, even for him, repeating the sa steps for such a long ti was making him feel nauseous and wanting to vomit.

There was no response in the restaurant.

Out of curiosity, Chen Ze peeked out and then saw Betty and the girl sleeping back to back, quietly.

"That’s nice." Chen Ze carried out the matcha cake and placed it on the table.

The girl was sleeping soundly, and although Chen Ze wasn’t sure whether those black characters would appear every day or what the situation was, he thought it’d be best for the girl to eat it as soon as possible.

"What’s this?" As he approached the girl, Chen Ze noticed a faint light at her chest, like a small sun, emitting a weak light.

It was very small and weak, but it looked incredibly warm. Chen Ze paused, then rembered the scene he had seen in the illusion and smiled.

"It must be that firefighter, right?" Chen Ze nodded confidently. Apart from that firefighter, he couldn’t think of any other possibility.

Sure enough, for this child, that firefighter was the last bit of warmth she felt, and the person who gave her the strength to endure.

"Guest?" Chen Ze gently pushed the girl’s shoulder.

"Um..." The girl opened her eyes groggily, coming to her senses quite a bit when she saw Chen Ze, looking down and too shy to et his gaze.

"Here, this is a dessert specially prepared for you by the restaurant, a matcha cake; please enjoy." Chen Ze pushed the matcha cake toward her.

"Thank you..." Her voice was as faint as a mosquito’s whine, but Chen Ze didn’t mind.

Chen Ze went back to the kitchen, knowing that if he watched from the sidelines, the girl would probably find it difficult to eat the cake.

"Um... this is for the al..." The girl raised her hand, having already finished the matcha cake, which tasted quite good.

"Alright." Chen Ze ca out and saw a piece of Joss Paper on the table, just like last ti, but with a larger denomination this ti.

Chen Ze looked up to see the girl still in the sa state, with no change, but after sensing with the Magic Circle, he noticed that the strange power fluctuating from the girl had dissipated. It seed the purification had worked, but the results might only beco apparent after the girl went outside.

"Goodbye, Uncle Manager," the girl turned back, waving at Chen Ze. She spoke softly, probably considering that Betty was asleep.

"Alright, goodbye..." Chen Ze also waved back with a smile.

Watching the girl push the door and leave until the mont the door closed, Chen Ze finally said what ca next.

"Goodbye... and hopefully never again, may you not encounter so much malice next ti." Chen Ze looked at the girl’s departing figure, shook his head with a smile, and then walked back into the kitchen.

Chen Ze needed to check on his dicinal al, after all, it had been cooking for a very long ti. Essentially, it was another experint for him.

He turned off the heat, lifted the lid off the pot, and a burst of steam rushed out, followed by a system notification that figuratively hit Chen Ze on the nose.

[You have created a brand-new dish, please na it.]

This ti Chen Ze was experienced. He certainly didn’t want to make the sa mistake as last ti—if he ca up with another bizarre na, it would probably give him a headache.

"Just call it Double Dragon Soup," Chen Ze thought he might be terrible at naming things.

[You have created a Transcendent-level low-grade Double Dragon Soup, gaining 50 points of otherworldly dish creation experience.]

[You have created a brand-new dish, gaining a thousand points of otherworldly dish creation experience.]

Chen Ze was extrely pleased, it seed his experint was successful.

...

Lin Xingruo walked out the door. This restaurant was magical, but even so, it was still an unfamiliar place for her, yet she felt safe there.

"Is it starting again?" Lin Xingruo looked at her hands, not understanding why she, though dead, still had to undergo the sa torture every day. Each ti, her body felt as if it were being sliced by thousands of knives. If it wasn’t for thoughts of that brother, Lin Xingruo might have already given up.

"How I wish... I could love this world once more..." Lin Xingruo raised her head to look at the night sky.

The city night was lit with only the moon and a few stars. The Milky Way and the myriad of stars of ancient tis were sights that Lin Xingruo had never seen.

"Huh?" Lin Xingruo lowered her head, feeling an inexplicable power. Suddenly, she realized sothing.

"So... so..." Lin Xingruo stretched out her hand, looking up at the sky with a very happy smile, then slowly dissipated into the air, as if she had never been there.

"Betty, hurry up and get up, you can go back now." Chen Ze locked the door, then turned to see Betty, who was sleeping in a chair, and rolled his eyes.

"Eh? Manager... did she leave?" Betty sat up abruptly and looked behind her.

"Yes, she left after eating the cake I gave her. Now she should have... reincarnated, I guess?" Chen Ze took off his chef’s jacket and stretched. Now that the girl’s situation was handled, it was ti to rest.

"You’re so fast, I didn’t even notice. Then I’m going to take a bath~" Betty laughed awkwardly. She was supposed to be vigilant about the custors, and yet she didn’t even notice when the custor left.

"Yeah." Chen Ze nodded. He planned to use this ti to think through his marriage proposal plan.

By the ti Betty had finished bathing and left, it was already eleven o’clock.

"Ti to sleep." Chen Ze stretched, then went upstairs to the second floor. As for the marriage proposal plan, he had so ideas but still needed to make them happen, which was a bit troubleso.

He hoped to encounter a few custors who could help him solve these problems. He also wondered when Tony Stark would co to the restaurant again, as it had been a long ti since his last visit.

"Sleep, sleep." Chen Ze turned off the light.
