Chen Ze smiled awkwardly, not knowing quite how to explain. According to tradition, Lafra and Stan would take turns serving as the chairman of the Dark Council on the negative planes. But now that Lafra was no longer in her role, it ant that Stan had to continue his term indefinitely, until the next qualified successor erged.

Chen Ze touched his fingers, suddenly feeling a little happiness. He had been wondering what Lafra was up to, being away for so long, and now he understood. She was tidying up her affairs in the negative plane to move in and live with Chen Ze. But if that was the case...

Chen Ze glanced at the ceiling. Although his restaurant had three floors, the space on the second floor was still quite limited. He wondered if Lafra would be comfortable living there.

"Mr. Stan, just wait a mont, I’ll start making the Buffet for you," Chen Ze said with a smile. Then he ducked his head back and began rapidly preparing the Buffet for Stan.

Stan looked at Chen Ze’s kitchen and felt a bit helpless. He had hoped to let Lafra suffer for just a few hundred years, but Lafra had suddenly decided to move—and with an utterly unrefusable reason.

"I’m getting married!" Yesterday, Lafra’s proud face had appeared before every sentient being of the negative planes. Seeing their joyous expressions, Stan truly could not bring himself to be the villain who stood in the way of soone else’s happiness.

"Sigh," Stan sighed, then scooped up a spoonful of Buffet, hoping that the useless young would grow up quickly and one of them would et his criteria, otherwise, he feared he’d be the chairman for life.

Stan shook his head as he rembered a conversation he had with Chen Ze. Chen Ze had asked him what he would do if a favored child of the heavens appeared in his domain.

At the ti, Stan had not considered why Chen Ze would ask such a question but had simply questioned Chen Ze’s own allegiance and identity.

"If they stand with the positive plane, I’d send my underlings to kill them. If my underlings can’t defeat them, I wouldn’t mind intervening directly and using Extraordinary Magic to end their life." Stan recalled his own words and how Chen Ze’s mouth twitched afterward, as if he was ill.

"If they stand with our negative plane, then I would test their talent. If it turned out to be truly impressive, I’d provide full support for their training." After Stan said that, Chen Ze’s mouth twitched again.

Stan didn’t quite understand why Chen Ze later comnted that he should’ve sent so small fry to grind levels against the protagonist, and why he had to ss with the formula, but Stan had but one hope now.

He wished that such a favored child of the heavens, as Chen Ze ntioned, would appear quickly. As long as they aligned with the negative plane, Stan would then go all out in grooming them into the next Extraordinary Professional, ready to take over his work at the earliest.

With all the ti wasted in the council, Stan felt he was better off cultivating in the Magic Tower, striving to ascend further.

After all...

Stan’s lips curved slightly, for all the high and mighty Gods were already dead.

Now, igniting the Divine Fla and ascending the divine throne had beco the common ambition of all high-order Transcendent beings.

It’s said the Pope was now too lazy to even vie for parishes, spending all his ti in the Church, ditating on the Path of Light—such great ambition this fellow had.

And naturally, Chen Ze was oblivious to Stan’s recent disinterest in power. Chen Ze was pondering over the last Buffet, contemplating how to refine this dish further.

"I feel there’s little room for improvent in the Buffet," Chen Ze lanted, his head pounding. Just like how the simplest cri often proved the most troubleso, creating a simple and uncomplicated Buffet demanded even higher standards of improvent.

Because basically all he could do was to change the composition of the Buffet, decoration wouldn’t have any effect at all, Chen Ze simply wished he could go online and buy so of the most high-end, most expensive ingredients to see if he could break through to the Transcendent level.

"Wait a second..." Chen Ze paused, he suddenly thought of a viral food trend, the once-popular smoke ice cream. Though it didn’t taste all that great, it had a strong gimmick factor.

Although Chen Ze’s restaurant didn’t need gimmicks—after all, just bringing out the glowing dishes was enough to explode the internet—what Chen Ze needed was rely an inspiration.

"If I try according to..." Chen Ze had a bold idea. Buffets were generally cold, that was common sense, but Chen Ze wanted to see what would happen if he kept the Buffet in a continuously heated state and then added other ingredients. He wondered if it would yield a better result.

[You have made a new dessert, please na it.]

Chen Ze smiled happily; it seed his idea was correct. Following this thod was indeed possible, and he also received the System’s approval.

"Then maybe..." Chen Ze looked at the Buffet with a short edible ti in front of him and thought of a good na.

[You have made a Transcendent-level-low "Then maybe," dessert-making experience increased by 30 points.]

[You have made a new dessert, dessert-making experience increased by a thousand points.]

Chen Ze’s lips twitched, he took several deep breaths; otherwise, he worried he wouldn’t be able to restrain himself from jumping up and cursing at the System. However, the most important thing now was to have Betty serve this dessert with a short edible ti as quickly as possible.

"Betty, co in and serve the dish!" Chen Ze clapped his hands. This System was simply toxic; he clearly hadn’t thought of a proper na yet, casually muttered sothing, and the System took it as final, unbelievable.

"Okay." Betty imdiately walked in and looked at the Buffet in front of her with surprise.

"Hurry and serve it, tell Mr. Stan that this Buffet needs to be finished within three minutes." Chen Ze glanced at his phone; the Buffet was already lting.

"Okay!" Betty nodded imdiately and then hurried out.

"Mr. Stan, please finish this Buffet as quickly as possible within three minutes." Betty placed the Buffet in front of Stan.

Stan, seeing the Buffet with a fla underneath, was surprised for a second, but quickly picked up a spoon, scooped up so Buffet, and stuffed it into his mouth.

It still had the taste of Buffet, but it was more delicious. Chen Ze had added sothing to it, and each bite felt exceptionally fantastic, the cloying sweetness felt much more llow, never causing one to feel sickly full, and every mouthful brought an imnsely satisfying sensation.

The semi-lted Buffet, moreover, had its own unique flavor. The fruits on top had also been specially treated, giving Stan a whole new experience.

"Delicious," Stan nodded with satisfaction.
