Chen Ze was busy as a bee, not because he planned to deliver takeout, but because he had to prepare a birthday party for Lafra.

"Birthday... birthday... what do I need to prepare for a birthday party again?" Chen Ze paused, a bit confused.

Chen Ze wasn’t very good at socializing. On one hand, he couldn’t be bothered to maintain relationships with his friends; on the other, he didn’t really like socializing.

This led to a problem. When he was studying, he would celebrate with classmates, and when working, with colleagues—Chen Ze would usually just go out for a al, then perhaps sing so songs.

But now... celebrating his girlfriend’s birthday might be the first ti for Chen Ze, so he was sowhat clueless and didn’t know what to do.

"Let think... stay calm... right, I need to stay calm." Chen Ze took a few deep breaths and slapped his face.

Cake was a must, but Chen Ze didn’t want to make an ordinary cream cake; it felt too mundane. He decided to directly make a bigger Starry Sky Cake.

"I’ll think while I make it," said Chen Ze. He shook his head and took out the ingredients he needed for the Starry Sky Cake.

"I’m out of Moonlight Bear at. It seems that next ti Stan cos by, I need to ask him for so Moonlight Bear at." Chen Ze jotted this down in his notebook, then started working on the Starry Sky Cake.

With prior experience, Chen Ze worked quickly, considering what else to prepare for the birthday party as he went along.

"Maybe another roast duck? Leave one whole duck for Lafra, and Coca Cola is a must-have. What about confetti?" Chen Ze was a bit conflicted but quickly decided what exactly to make for today.

After letting the Starry Sky Cake cool on the side, Chen Ze locked the front door—he needed to go out and buy so decorations for Lafra.

Soon, Chen Ze returned to the restaurant with loads of stuff, placed two balloons at the entrance, and arranged two rows of roses before heading upstairs.

After an entire hour of busyness, Chen Ze finally felt sowhat satisfied with his work. Then he unlocked the door and pressed on the Magic Crystal that Lafra had left him.

Chen Ze took a few deep breaths, but his heart was still racing. He was sowhat looking forward to seeing Lafra’s reaction when she entered.

Before that, however, Chen Ze made sure the Starry Sky Cake was ready, the cherry-flavored Coca Cola was chilled, and he cut so fruit to arrange on a platter.

Then Chen Ze started working on a special surprise for Lafra.

"Manager, I... Huh? What’s the occasion today?" Betty walked in just as Chen Ze’s tension began to subside.

"Today is Lafra’s birthday," explained Chen Ze.

"Huh? Lady Lafra’s birthday? What should I give her..." Betty was at a loss, and the only thing of value she had on her was the hair accessory Lady Lafra had given her.

It’s not like she could just give back what she had received, could she? Betty felt she might as well die if that were the case.

"It’s okay, I doubt Lafra would care," said Chen Ze, waving his hand dismissively. Lafra was a genuine wealthy lady, after all.

"Hey, what’s the occasion today?" The door was pushed open again, and Tony Stark walked in, followed by a robot.

"Sir, today is Easter," the robot spoke first.

"Mr. Tony, today is my girlfriend’s birthday. Do you want sothing to eat?" Chen Ze said with a smile, coming forward, while Betty ran upstairs to take a shower and change her clothes.

"Aha, so are you throwing a party?" Tony was imdiately interested. He certainly knew Chen Ze’s girlfriend, that terrifyingly powerful little girl.

But since the young girl didn’t really fit Tony’s taste for womanizing, he was more interested in Betty.

"No, I’m just planning on a normal birthday party," Chen Ze waved his hand dismissively, feeling that Lafra wouldn’t like a fancy party.

"I see... then, let give you this little gift," Tony stroked his chin, then took out a small box from behind the robot.

"No need, no need," Chen Ze imdiately uttered words of politeness since Tony was his guest.

"Consider it part of the al cost," Tony said nonchalantly as he pushed both the box and the robot over.

"What is this?" Chen Ze took the box from Tony, slightly puzzled.

"Ha-ha, it’s my Mark-style Armor, it can automatically adjust to fit your body size," Tony said proudly, as this was an essential part of becoming Iron Man.

"Well... thanks," Chen Ze replied, a bit helplessly, as this gift didn’t seem quite right for Lafra.

"Ah, when I first ca to your shop, you were a single dog, and now, in the blink of an eye, you’re getting married," Tony said sentintally, patting Chen Ze’s shoulder.

"My youth is over," Betty said as she ca down from the second floor.

"Betty~ How about a date today~" Tony quickly shifted his attention.

A twitch ford at the corner of Chen Ze’s mouth as he listened to Betty’s tone, signaling her older youth.

But Chen Ze was glad for the quiet; he took the robot into the kitchen, as it was to be delivered to Nyarlathotep.

"My dear, you were looking for ... hmm?" Lafra walked in, dressed in blood-red clothing and matching shoes.

Chen Ze quickly ca out of the kitchen with a bouquet of roses and handed them to Lafra.

"Lafra... happy birthday!" Chen Ze said, a bit nervous as his face turned red.

"Wow, I didn’t realize our boss here was such a pure-hearted boy," Tony and Betty munched popcorn from the sidelines.

"Lady Lafra looks so beautiful today," Betty admired, then shot Tony a peculiar glance.

Does he not know that Lady Lafra can hear him? Or is he doing it on purpose?

Lafra ignored Tony and Betty, completely stunned by the gesture.

"Today..." Lafra was a bit lost, as it had been a long while since she last celebrated her birthday; after all, if she celebrated every year, she might tire of it.

"This is my gift to you," Chen Ze fumbled in his embrace for the thing he had specially made and handed it to Lafra.

Lafra took it. It was a flower, a roughly carved ice sculpture of a flower, not very pretty.

But... Lafra held it carefully in her hands; it was the flower she once talked about with Chen Ze, the symbol of hope—the Lafra.

"I... I’m not very good with my hands... so even though I tried really hard, it didn’t turn out that beautiful..." Chen Ze explained nervously.

Then Chen Ze couldn’t say another word, as Lafra kissed him on the lips.

Sweet.
