Chen Ze was wondering why he hadn’t seen his ga console yesterday, and it turned out Betty had taken it.
And as soon as he heard what Betty said, Chen Ze knew she must have played Animal Crossing and spent the whole day fishing for bass.
Chen Ze couldn’t help but smile, and his mood instantly improved a lot.
"Hurry up and go take a shower and change clothes," Chen Ze clapped his hands and tied on his headscarf.
Today, Chen Ze planned to make a dish of Japanese Cuisine. Although it wasn’t very famous, ever since he saw it in a manga, he had been deeply interested in it.
Chen Ze touched his chin, then opened the refrigerator for a look, but couldn’t find the ingredient he wanted.
"I should go to the supermarket first to buy so chestnuts," Chen Ze scratched his head and headed straight out through the small door.
The supermarket wasn’t far from his restaurant anyway, and Chen Ze could get it done within twenty minutes.
Chestnuts are a very common delicacy, especially the sugar-roasted chestnuts often seen on the streets, which are a childhood mory of many people from Huaxia.
Before long, Chen Ze had returned from the supermarket, bringing back a large bag of chestnuts.
Chen Ze glanced at the restaurant; there were no custors yet, so it seed he could start making the chestnut rice first.
The preparation thod for chestnut rice wasn’t complicated. Chen Ze first cut the chestnuts in half, then chopped half of them into small pieces and buried them in the rice.
The other half of the chestnuts, along with their shells, were placed in a stear, and then Chen Ze began cooking rice while simultaneously steaming the chestnuts.
The reason for steaming was because it helped retain the chestnuts’ nutrients and flavor.
Chen Ze clapped his hands; now he had to prepare the other ingredients.
Chen Ze took out a Moonlight Mushroom. According to the manga, chestnut rice is supposed to be served with mushroom soup and pickles.
And Chen Ze just happened to have a perfect top-quality mushroom, the Moonlight Mushroom would definitely et the requirent for the chestnut rice.
Chen Ze was actually worried that the Moonlight Mushroom might overshadow the flavor of the chestnut rice, as he had eaten it before and knew it to be a top-level delicacy.
However, Chen Ze ultimately decided to use the Moonlight Mushroom to make mushroom soup. As for the pickles, he could only settle for those sold on the market for now, and plan to make his own pickles slowly in the future.
"Manager~" Betty burst in full of energy, nearly causing Chen Ze to cut off his finger by accident.
"Don’t be so anxious, what’s the matter?" Chen Ze looked at Betty with a gloomy face; if Betty couldn’t co up with a good reason, Chen Ze was ready to give Succubus at a try today.
"Manager, Lindsay asked to check if there are any other textbooks," Betty shrank her neck, naturally noticing the chill in Chen Ze’s eyes.
"Other textbooks? Has Lindsay already mastered the books I sent her?" Chen Ze was a bit surprised; that was C and other programming languages after all. It usually takes so ti for an average boy to learn these.
So programrs even begin to lose their hair after starting their jobs, which shows how complex programming languages are.
"Yes, she said she has basically mastered them, so..." Betty didn’t finish her sentence, but the aning was clear. It seems like there was no shortage of geniuses in other worlds either.
"Alright, I’ll go out to buy so books in the afternoon, and I’ll bring them back to you." Chen Ze didn’t mind; a few books were nothing to him.
Hastur frowned at Nyarlathotep, who was sitting in his room, solemnly dismantling the alchemy puppet before him.
"Do you really have to do this in my room?" Hastur was annoyed, as he had been in a pretty good mood returning from Chen Ze’s restaurant.
But now Nyarlathotep was latching onto him, mooching off his ho and freeloading on his food and drink.
"..." Nyarlathotep didn’t speak but slowly took apart the outer shell of the alchemy puppet.
"Hey!" Hastur grew even more irritable.
"Boom!" With a loud bang, Hastur watched his room expressionlessly. Had it not been for the magic circle he had set up, his ho might have been gone with that blast.
"Failed again, huh? As I thought, stuffing the energy sphere directly into the alchemy puppet is infeasible..." Nyarlathotep scratched his head.
"You stop it right now, damn it!" Hastur stood up angrily.
"Don’t be hasty, I’m leaving soon. My follower just told there’s a goblin nad Harry Potter, a master of engineering," Nyarlathotep said as he stood up, his interest in this robot growing.
The construction of the robot clearly involved engineering knowledge, but the mysterious energy sphere suggested it also involved alchemy.
Hastur’s mouth twitched. Nyarlathotep had caused explosions in his room over a dozen tis in just one day, and he was nearing the end of his patience.
"See you next ti." Nyarlathotep waved his hand, then his body instantly collapsed into ashes and dissipated into the air.
Hastur breathed a sigh of relief, changed into his live streaming persona, and turned on his computer and cara.
"Dear viewers, it’s been a long ti~" A sweet voice floated out from Hastur’s residence.
Nyarlathotep stepped out from the void, nodded at his kneeling followers, then turned to look at a short goblin amongst the three.
"Are you Harry Potter?" Nyarlathotep changed his appearance, a divine light obscuring his face, imnse pressure filling the room.
"Yes... yes... yes!" Harry Potter was clearly nervous. He had been in his lab developing the absolutely safe V that wouldn’t explode, and then he was kidnapped by three freakishly strong individuals.
Harry Potter resisted, of course. He was a master of engineering, and his lab was full of traps.
"Hmm? Intruders? You think you’re standing on a floor? That’s actually a bomb~" The cape of Destiny was tattered.
"The absolutely non-exploding safe model Φ! Stop my enemies!" Revenge shredded the tall machines into pieces with a swipe of her claw.
"You think you’ve captured ? This is still a bomb! Initiation of detonation sequence!" Watching his beard singed off by fire, Justice broke the goblin’s leg in anger.
In the face of these three, all his inventions he took pride in were useless, leaving Harry Potter in a terribly foul mood.
"Have you seen this before?" Nyarlathotep pulled the energy sphere out of thin air.
"My Gold Coin!" Harry Potter was shocked by the violently stable energy before him, sothing he had never seen before.
"What is this?" If it weren’t for his broken leg, he would have rushed forward imdiately.
"This is nuclear peace."
