Dorayaki is a fairly common dessert, and its preparation isn’t difficult. For Chen Ze, making dorayaki would be considered an easy task.
The real challenge lies in choosing the right filling for the dorayaki. Chen Ze had never tasted dorayaki from Japan, so he wasn’t sure what flavor they typically were.
However, combining his past ani experience, Chen Ze decided to go with a red bean filling after all, rembering that Doraemon once ntioned his fondness for dorayaki with bean paste.
"Nobita, get ho and start on your howork, your mother is getting angry," Doraemon said, looking at Nobita with a hint of irritation.
"Alright, alright, Doraemon, I’ll study when I get back~," Nobita Nobi replied, lying down on the table, which was very clean at Chen Ze’s place.
"Really, you always say this, but as soon as you get ho, you go to sleep, and then you’re out playing," Doraemon said with a touch of helplessness.
Chen Ze smiled. Although Nobita was indeed very lazy, he still had his redeeming qualities.
When Chen Ze used to watch Doraemon on the small broken station, he especially liked to turn off the bullet-comnts, as he found them unbearable.
So people called Nobita useless, while others continuously comnted that certain gadgets had made them pass out in the bathroom, prompting Chen Ze to almost laugh out loud when he saw those unreasonable comnts.
Discussing science in an ani was sothing Chen Ze never expected; he could only conclude so people must have eaten too much.
Chen Ze picked up the marinated pork chop and threw it into the frying pan, watching the sizzling at, he got a bit lost in thought.
If everything went well, he would soon have a pot with forty years of master stock, at which point he could make Longjiang pork knuckle rice.
"It slls so good..." Nobita Nobi looked expectantly towards the kitchen, swallowing his saliva.
The air was filled with a delightful scent that made Takeshi Goda’s stew seem like the cooking of the gods by comparison.
Doraemon glanced at his pocket, which contained over three hundred yen. It was money he had saved up intending to buy dorayaki, but it seed like he could enjoy so here.
Soon after, Chen Ze served up a portion of curry pork chop rice and placed it in front of Nobita Nobi.
"Enjoy your al," Chen Ze said with a smile, wiping his hands, then he returned to the kitchen where Doraemon’s dorayaki were nearly ready.
"I’m starting now!" Nobita Nobi exclaid excitedly, scooping up a spoonful and stuffing it into his mouth.
The rich curry flavor was slightly spicy but also a tad sweet, creating a very unique taste that was genuinely delicious.
As Nobita eagerly enjoyed his al, Chen Ze brought out the freshly baked dorayaki. He had made ten—eight with red bean filling and two with jam filling.
[You have made ten exquisite dorayaki, increasing your dessert-making experience by 30 points.]
[The Pastry Chef passive has been triggered.]
[Dorayaki have gained a satiating effect.]
Chen Ze paused for a mont. The appearance of special effects was nothing new; after all, his dessert-making skills were quite high now.
The question was about the passive that got triggered this ti, the satiating effect.
From its literal aning, satiating referred to the feeling of being full; could it be that eating just one would make soone full?
Chen Ze was a bit puzzled but still placed the ten dorayaki on a plate and brought them out.
"It slls amazing!" Doraemon’s eyes lit up, and then he stretched out his round hand towards Chen Ze.
Truly a round hand, in every sense of the phrase, though Doraemon actually does have fingers, his default state are those round hands.
Chen Ze struggled to suppress the urge to laugh, handed the dorayaki to Doraemon, and then returned to the kitchen, fearing he might burst out laughing soon.
Doraemon looked at the dorayaki in his hand, feeling its slightly high temperature, the wonderful texture, and the rich fragrance, he couldn’t wait to pop one into his mouth.
With one bite, the filling was full of beans and just the right level of sweetness — it was pretty much perfect, and the dorayaki bread itself was also delicious.
"So tasty... Eh?" Doraemon patted his stomach, feeling full?
Doraemon looked at the dorayaki in surprise. As a robot, he usually could easily finish at least a dozen dorayakis, but now he felt full after just one bite?
Nobita held his stomach, leaning back in his chair with satisfaction. This serving of curry pork chop rice was exactly to his liking.
"Eh? Doraemon, why aren’t you eating?" Nobita looked at Doraemon, eating only one wasn’t like him at all.
"I don’t know why, I felt full after just one, maybe it’s because I ate too much of mom’s spaghetti today," Doraemon said, unfazed as he reached into his pocket, wanting to save the dorayaki in its most perfect state.
"Ti Stop Watch!" Doraemon pulled out a formidable device from his pocket, making Chen Ze’s mouth twitch.
Really, stopping ti for a dorayaki?
"Is that...?" Nobita looked a bit surprised.
"This is a mini version of the Ti Stop Watch, it can stop ti for one object." Doraemon pressed it against the dorayaki and then slipped it into his pocket.
"Dear patrons, please settle the bill," Chen Ze said with a smile, erging from the kitchen.
"Okay, how much?" Nobita sounded confident.
"One thousand two hundred yen." Chen Ze did a quick calculation. Unless it was New Year’s or another holiday, Nobita Nobi typically only had 500 yen in pocket money per month.
Seeing Nobita’s expression change in an instant, Chen Ze chuckled internally, knowing that they wouldn’t be able to co up with the amount.
"Doraemon!" Nobita looked at Doraemon for help, but even after rummaging through his pocket, it wasn’t enough.
"Our establishnt also accepts other forms of paynt," Chen Ze hinted, his smile revealing his true intention.
"Really?" Nobita looked at Chen Ze with hope, fearing that if he couldn’t pay for the al, he would get scolded to death by his mother when he got ho.
Moreover, Doraemon would never allow that to happen.
"Yes, just help with a little favor. Age this pot forty years back in ti," Chen Ze pointed to his kitchen.
"Forty years back in ti? Ti Cloth!" Sure enough, Doraemon produced the Divine Artifact.
"Boss! I’ve co to pay," a sowhat familiar voice called out, and Chen Ze turned to look.
Tony Goudaihu had arrived, bringing with him sothing that seed very upscale and high-class.
Chen Ze couldn’t help but cover his face, Tony had all the tis to co, but it had to be when Doraemon was there?
Chen Ze felt that after today, Gou Dahu’s worldview would be shattered once more.
