"Sebastian, you must have heard the divine oracle of the Dragon God," Dragone said contentedly as he sat in his chair, patting his belly. It was his first ti tasting such unique cuisine, and he found both the cooking thods and the ingredients exquisitely refined.
"Of course I heard it; after all, I’m a dragon too." Sebastian rolled his eyes. He was eating a light cheesecake, and although he had tasted it many tis before, he still ordered it every ti.
"To make His Elderliness so angry, Flea truly is an anomaly," Dragone remarked, eyeing the light cheesecake on Sebastian’s plate. He hadn’t tried it, but it slled quite tempting.
"I’ll have a slice of light cheesecake too, thank you," Dragone couldn’t help but call out to Betty.
"Alright~ Please wait a mont, dear custor," Betty said, her steps light and cheerful as she headed into the kitchen.
Chen Ze had already promised Betty he would make her "Stargazing" tomorrow. Although Chen Ze wasn’t particularly keen to do it, since he had promised Betty, he decided to be a man of his word.
"Manager~ One light cheesecake," Betty said as soon as she entered the kitchen, where Chen Ze was cutting pork chops.
"Sure, oh and Betty, we might close early today, so you can go ho ahead of ti," Chen Ze said, carefully working on the pork chops.
"Eh? Why?" Betty was curious. After all, Chen Ze was known for closing shop before the evening only on very rare occasions.
"Because I previously promised Lafra that we would spend today together," Chen Ze scratched his head. He actually wanted to keep the shop open and see the contented faces of his custors.
But considering it was his girlfriend’s request, Chen Ze decided it was better not to be too stubborn.
"Oh~ Manager, rember to take safety precautions~" Betty said with a mischievous grin as she returned to the dining room.
Chen Ze’s mouth twitched. What on earth was this succubus thinking? How could she possibly infer such a thing? Chen Ze didn’t think anything special would happen today since he and Lafra had only started dating a few days ago.
Suddenly, Chen Ze found himself thinking of Lafra’s golden hair, her eyes, and her delicate lips.
"Damn," he muttered, looking at the pork chops. He had made a mistake in his cutting.
"Dragone, speaking of which, weren’t you at Erald Heart before? What brings you here?" Sebastian asked, sipping his Paluda slowly.
"So things ca up," Dragone’s mood seed to dip suddenly.
"You didn’t get pursued by so clueless elf again, did you?" Betty’s eyes lit up with excitent. Sebastian’s comnt seed quite intriguing to her, especially the way he emphasized the word ’again’.
"Damn you, Sebastian, nobody would mistake you for a mute dragon if you kept your mouth shut!" Dragone angrily punched Sebastian in the nose.
Sebastian cradled his nose in pain, feeling like he was close to passing out.
"I really, really don’t understand! How could a Sprite Dragon, a breed known for its magic, produce such an oddity as you." Sebastian shook his head in dissatisfaction. If Dragone hadn’t held back, Sebastian might already be lying on the floor by now.
"You’re asking ? How would I know?" Dragone slumped back in his chair, looking morose.
He didn’t understand why he turned out to be a Sprite Dragon with exceptional physical strength but a pathetic sensitivity to magic power.
Sebastian felt like Dragone must have been born under the wrong sign. When the Dragon God created him, perhaps the robust body of a Black Dragon was mistakenly bestowed upon him, and then, God damn it, it was amplified to the extre.
When Sebastian was young, he could never beat Dragone, and although he initially wanted to train harder, he gave up on the idea when he realized that Dragone hadn’t even been using his full strength.
Are you kidding ? Without even trying, he could punch Sebastian flying, so if he actually tried, Sebastian reckoned he’d be six feet under.
"Your light cheesecake, sir," Betty placed the cake in front of Dragone, then curiously glanced at his arm.
It was extrely delicate, which was odd because even when mbers of the Dragon Clan transford into humans, they were supposed to retain so of their distinct features. For example, Sebastian was a muscular hulk of a man, but Dragone didn’t seem at all like soone who could knock out a Black Dragon with one punch.
"Do you find my hand pretty?" Dragone asked Betty while shaking his arm, his skin as smooth and white as snow, prompting a feeling of envy in Betty.
"Not at all, not in the slightest!" Betty quickly shook her head; she had realized that Dragone seed quite troubled by his appearance and physique.
Betty looked down at her own flat figure, then sneakily peeked at Dragone, before dejectedly picking up the dishes left by two custors and going back to the kitchen to wash them.
"What’s wrong?" Chen Ze looked at Betty curiously. The usually cheerful Succubus seed downcast, was it a sign of an impending natural disaster?
"Sigh, Manager, why do I feel like my feminine charm is even less than that of the new custor?" Betty was despondent.
Chen Ze peeked outside and then looked back at Betty.
"In terms of appearance, you indeed don’t compare, but as for figure..." Chen Ze stroked his chin.
"How so! How so!" Betty looked at Chen Ze with anticipation.
"If Dragone is an A--, you’re probably an A-," Chen Ze concluded.
"Hooray!" Betty was instantly filled with vigor again.
Chen Ze’s mouth twitched; he really didn’t understand, was it sothing to be proud of to slightly surpass a man’s figure?
Dragone shivered inexplicably, feeling as if he had just taken a hit to the soul.
"Manager, I’m really looking forward to your big eater competition!" Sebastian said as he and Dragone left, leaving behind two bags of Gold Coins and a pile of dishes.
Chen Ze looked at his inventory of food supplies; the low-gluten flour was half gone again. The appetites of two dragons were just too great, and had Lafra not shown up later, Chen Ze guessed Sebastian and his company would have continued eating.
"Manager, I’m heading back now~" Betty waved at Chen Ze, then trotted off obediently.
Lafra’s gaze was incredibly intimidating, and Betty didn’t want to be a third wheel.
Chen Ze silently walked over and locked the door so no other custors would co in. Then, as he turned around, he saw Lafra already standing behind him, her eyes fixed on him.
"Hey, Lafra." Chen Ze said, scratching his head nervously.
Lafra pursed her lips, then suddenly plunged into Chen Ze’s arms, hugging his waist tightly.
"I’ve missed you..."
