"Do you recognize ?" Ainz Ooal Gown suddenly stood up, looking eagerly at Chen Ze.
Chen Ze hesitated, he couldn’t possibly tell Ainz Ooal Gown that he was actually a character living in an ani and a novel, could he?
If he did, who knows what strange things might happen, such as the Bone King returning and annihilating the Holy Kingdom.
"This is a restaurant, what would you like to eat?" Chen Ze didn’t directly answer Ainz Ooal Gown’s question but shifted the topic instead.
"Then, what do you have?" Ainz Ooal Gown was obviously a bit disappointed.
"How about a curry pork cutlet with rice, so mapo tofu, and a serving of pan-fried dumplings?" Chen Ze scratched his head, rembering that in Japan, dumplings could be eaten as a dish.
"..." Ainz Ooal Gown stared at Chen Ze, lost in thought. Of course, he wanted to eat these dishes, very much so.
Although he had also had his maids make these Japanese dishes in the Great Tomb, they sohow felt different from what he had eaten before.
"Guest?" Chen Ze waved his hand, snapping Ainz Ooal Gown out of his reverie.
"Good, please make sure to serve one," said the Bone King, nodding and sitting down quietly on the chair.
Chen Ze silently went back to the kitchen. He really enjoyed watching the ani "Overlord." The incredible power of the Bone King and his overwhelming... presence could be said to be part of a pretty good exhilarating show.
Besides, there were so many girls who couldn’t wait to discuss life and ideals with the Bone King.
But Chen Ze also empathized with the Bone King when he sat on his throne, looking at his NPCs, feeling the absence of his companions.
"Perhaps... it’s like when I used to play Warcraft and opened the friend list, only to find it all grayed out..." Chen Ze sighed. This ti, he planned to use the Japanese curry sauce he had ordered online to make the curry pork cutlet rice.
Japanese curry is divided into different types based on taste. So are sweet, and others are dium-spicy. Chen Ze wasn’t sure about the Bone King’s preferences but still chose dium-spicy.
After all, sweet curry seed sowhat odd to Chen Ze.
While frying the pork cutlets, Chen Ze looked distantly at the sizzling at. He suddenly rembered why he had wanted to try curry pork cutlet rice in the first place.
It was because the mage in his Warcraft raid group had ntioned going out for curry pork cutlet rice, piquing Chen Ze’s strong curiosity.
Although Chen Ze later found the dish suited his taste after trying it, that friend who used to raid with him never logged into the ga again.
"You must be lonely too," Chen Ze shook his head. The Bone King wasn’t just lonely; it was a form of torture to suppress the intense waves of emotion, a torture in itself.
This made the Bone King evolve from an ordinary human to soone more and more resembling a cold, heartless Undead.
[You have made an Exquisite Curry Pork Cutlet Rice.]
[Japanese Cuisine experience increased by 20 points.]
[You have acquired a new passive skill.]
[Japanese Cuisine Novice: The food you prepare has an extrely low chance of incorporating emotions.]
[The Curry Pork Cutlet Rice you made has gained a nostalgic emotion effect.]
Chen Ze was startled. What exactly was this?
Chen Ze really hadn’t expected that a re sigh from him could so abruptly result in an Exquisite Level dish.
He gave his Japanese Cuisine an extra 20 experience points, which even taught him a new passive skill.
However, Chen Ze encountered another issue, he had just been reminiscing about his forr gaming friends, and now he had entered a sage-like state, which left him sowhat bemused. What was this all about?
Did the System’s skills also adhere to the principle of equivalent exchange? Chen Ze began to wonder if he had accidentally stepped onto the set of Fulltal Alchemist.
"Betty, please serve this dish," Chen Ze said as he placed the curry pork cutlet rice on a plate, since most dishes should be eaten while still hot.
The Undead King looked at the curry pork cutlet rice in front of him, sniffed it gently, and found the aroma captivating, especially because it evoked a particularly familiar sensation.
In silence, the Undead King cast a spell on himself, then picked up a piece of pork cutlet with chopsticks.
He took a bite of the golden, crispy pork cutlet topped with curry sauce, opening his mouth and gently biting down.
The rich scent of curry hit him full in the face. Though slightly spicy, the Undead King couldn’t help but speed up his eating.
This was the flavor! The very sa one he had tasted before logging onto the ga!
Compared to the curry pork cutlet rice made by his own chef, it was clear that this dish matched the Undead King’s mories more closely.
The Undead King patted his stomach, feeling utterly content for the first ti since arriving in this otherworld.
"How nostalgic..." lost in thought, the Undead King stared at the wall across from him, and for so reason, mories of grinding guild tasks with Pao Pao and his fellow gars surfaced in his mind.
Before long, Betty brought out the remaining two dishes and placed them on the Undead King’s table.
Unfortunately, neither dish provided Chen Ze with any breakthrough in skills.
But this was normal. If leveling up were that easy, Chen Ze felt he could beco a God of Cook.
Then he could live a life of luxury, awash in money and alcohol every day. But Chen Ze thought it best to save such dreams for later; for now, he needed to make mango mousse.
Although the Undead King hadn’t ordered any dessert, Chen Ze decided to include a complintary one anyway, since it wasn’t too much trouble.
"The cost of this al..." the Undead King hesitated. He felt that this restaurant was not from the world he was currently in, but rather from another, different world.
Moreover, it resembled his original world to so extent. But the problem was that he only had Gold Coins from the Holy Kingdom now and no yen.
"Five Gold Coins will suffice," Betty said, after glancing at the kitchen where Chen Ze gestured to her with his hand.
"Alright, I’ll co again next ti," the Undead King said, retrieving five Gold Coins from his spatial pocket.
"..." Then the Undead King picked up his Magic Wand, but it had no effect whatsoever.
Was spatial magic completely restrained... The Undead King quietly walked out the door.
Back in the familiar Great Tomb, the Undead King breathed a sigh of relief, then watched as the wooden door behind him slowly vanished into thin air.
"Another world, huh? I wonder if it could let return ho?" The Undead King was lost in thought, preferring a peaceful life in his own world over the tedium of living in another.
If Chen Ze knew what the Undead King was thinking, he would probably roll his eyes.
How many people are dying to have your life, and yet you dream of returning to your original world to be a corporate drone?
Does that even make sense to you?
