We contain, we fail, we run away.
For so reason, Chen Ze suddenly thought of this phrase.
Looking at the motionless SCP–173 in front of him, Chen Ze felt a bit of a headache, as he certainly rembered 173’s characteristics.
Like not blinking; otherwise, it would teleport and then snap your neck.
Chen Ze had played the ga SCP Containnt Breach before, and his impression of this thing was particularly profound.
"However, why would a containnt object run into my store? I rember 173 doesn’t have the ability to open doors on its own," Chen Ze was puzzled by this.
Considering 173’s pitifully short arms, although it’s very adept at snapping necks, expecting it to open a door on its own is a bit too much.
Chen Ze suddenly rembered a custor he had served after the system upgrade, a man with a D hanging on his chest.
Chen Ze also recalled the mysterious organization ntioned by that person and the things they controlled that could destroy the world; wasn’t that the setting of the SCP Foundation?
Could it be that the Foundation had defined his teleportation gate as a containnt object and, once again, suffered a containnt breach?
Chen Ze could only think of this possibility, but it was also possible that the Foundation wanted to try using this new containnt object to dispose of 173, though this possibility was not very likely.
After all, the SCP Foundation was very cautious with new containnt objects and destroying containnt objects, having learned from so many painful experiences and lessons.
Chen Ze felt his eyes were a bit dry, then he used the Magic Circle to lift SCP–173 and slowly walked to the front door of the restaurant.
"Manager, when did you buy this statue?" Betty curiously glanced at it before pouting.
"I have to say, Manager, your sense of aesthetics is terrible. This sculpture is just a scam; it’s not worth anything," Betty rembered a sculpture in her own ho that was carved very impressively.
Chen Ze ignored Betty and instead opened the door on his own before throwing 173 outside and quickly closing the door.
"This thing is not a sculpture," Chen Ze rubbed his eyes.
Although Chen Ze was very confident in the restaurant’s Magic Circle, after all, whether it was Lafra, Stan, or even the mighty Hastur, none could pose a threat to him.
But that didn’t an Chen Ze wanted to experience being teleported behind by 173. Rather than having those cold hands touch his neck, Chen Ze would prefer a massage at the massage parlor.
"Was that a custor?" Betty blinked.
"A custor? There haven’t been any custors like that so far, have there?" Chen Ze thought that no sculpture would co here to eat, but if it really did, what should he do?
Perhaps he should buy so cent to place around?
"I thought it was one of the stone giants," Betty stretched lazily before heading back to the kitchen to continue gnawing on chicken legs.
"You first wipe the tables and chairs; I estimate we will have custors soon," Chen Ze waved his hand. There were fifteen chicken legs on the plate, he had only eaten one, and now only three were left.
Chen Ze sincerely felt that Betty’s stomach was probably similar to Luffy’s, both seemingly belonging to another dinsion.
Chen Ze sat in the kitchen, gnawing on chicken legs. Fried chicken must be eaten while it’s hot; it doesn’t taste as good when it’s cold.
"Elena, Andrew, what would you like to eat today?" Betty’s voice ca from the restaurant, Chen Ze wiped his mouth and washed his hands.
A busy day was about to start again.
"Uncle, Andrew is going to the Knight Academy next week!" Elena said, beaming with pride.
From being called manager uncle to just uncle, although Chen Ze felt much closer to them, he still felt a little stomachache, preferring the moniker ’manager brother’.
"That’s quite good, are the tuition fees a problem?" Chen Ze sat on the side watching them eat, with no other custors coming in for now.
"No problem!" Andrew patted his chest, stopping his sister who was about to speak.
Chen Ze casually glanced at Andrew, the boy who was already sowhat sturdy, with so calluses and wounds on his hands.
Probably doing physical labor, right? It seed like getting into the Knight Academy wasn’t easy, but this was within Chen Ze’s expectations.
Without revealing Andrew’s hidden matters, Chen Ze asked so life-related questions with a smile.
"Elena, has there been any big news around your place recently?" Chen Ze took a sip of his ice-cold cola.
"Big news? I heard from Bernard that a noble died in the rich district, does that count?"
Chen Ze curled his lip, it was just the death of a person, but indeed, a noble’s death was newsworthy.
If there were any TV screenwriters around, they could easily write dozens of episodes based on the noble family’s dostic troubles.
And with the addition of children fighting over the inheritance, they could write dozens more episodes, making a hundred-episode series without a problem.
"Yeah, I heard that the noble was killed on the street by an old man, and then the law enforcent team ca and arrested that grandfather," Andrew nodded, he also knew the news, even more than Bernard.
"I at the tavern... *cough*, I heard two forr knights say that the murderer used to be a knight too, but because he was connected with a wicked demon, he killed a whole village of poor people and defected," Chen Ze glanced at Andrew, it seed that the boy had been working at a tavern.
"Hmph, this kind of bad person who kills poor people at will, doesn’t deserve to be called a knight at all!" Elena waved her little fist, her tone filled with strong disgust.
After sending Elena and Andrew away, Chen Ze went back to the kitchen, where Betty was washing dishes.
"Betty, do you think demons are really that bad?" Chen Ze asked while wiping a kitchen knife.
Betty shuddered, hesitated for a mont before saying, "So demons are indeed bad; the Savage Demon often buys human slaves, especially children, to abuse them."
"Warcraft scum," Chen Ze shook his head.
"Manager..." Betty turned around, her eyes filled with panic.
"What’s wrong?" Chen Ze looked at her curiously.
"Are you... will you..." Betty was very nervous, even her tail was drooping.
"Will you fire ..." she said in a particularly soft voice, but Chen Ze still heard it.
Looking at Betty’s nervous and scared face, Chen Ze felt a bit dumbfounded, but considering Betty’s race, he also understood a bit.
Chen Ze stood up, knowing why Betty was so nervous; after all, Betty was also a mber of the demons.
Hating the crow for its blackness proverbially speaking, indeed, so people might hate an entire group because of their hatred for one individual within it.
For so reason, Chen Ze suddenly rembered a quest he had done while playing World of Warcraft.
"I’ve seen the most noble beasts... demons, and also the most despicable humans, Betty."
