Chen Ze certainly didn’t plan on having Lafra take over as the lady owner of the place, and even if Lafra was willing, Chen Ze wasn’t too keen on the idea either.

An encounter between a vampire and a human... ah no, a human and a ghost could present all sorts of problems, Chen Ze felt.

"Lafra, want to try making egg tarts yourself?" Chen Ze walked out with a smile, stood in front of Lafra, and rubbed his hands together.

"Why should I try? I have a chef at ho, in fact, a whole team of chefs," ca the wave of wealth that sared across Chen Ze’s face.

"Make it once and I’ll give you a bottle of Coke," Chen Ze calmly offered his condition.

"Hmph, do I look like that easy of a ghost to you?" Lafra looked disdainful.

"Two bottles!" Chen Ze upped the ante.

"Ten bottles," Lafra retorted calmly, biting into an egg tart.

"Five bottles, final offer. Make it snappy."

"Nothing less than ten bottles," she insisted.

"Eight bottles, that’s my bottom line."

"Do you even have a bottom line? Make it ten," Lafra ruled.

......

Betty watched on, dumbfounded. She knew from her previous discussions with Chen Ze that Coke wasn’t expensive, yet here they were, haggling over it as if it were millions in inheritance.

"Fine, ten bottles it is," Chen Ze conceded in resignation, agreeing to Lafra’s demand.

Lafra lifted her head with pride, and Chen Ze could see her legs shaking faster, a clear sign she was in a good mood.

The corner of Chen Ze’s mouth twitched, thinking that regardless of the process, it was good that Lafra had agreed.

"Well then, Lafra, co with . I’ll teach you how to make egg tarts," Chen Ze said as he glanced at his phone, which showed it was already 11 p.m.

Chen Ze planned on giving it one try and, if it didn’t work out, he would have to think of another way.

"Humph." Lafra slowly descended and followed Chen Ze into the kitchen.

Chen Ze waved to Lafra, gesturing for her to stand in front of the table. Although Lafra showed clear disdain, she still complied.

Then she turned her head to Chen Ze and asked, "So, what now? How should it be done?"

"Let just clarify, for certain reasons, this ti I have to educate you hands-on," because others doing it themselves wouldn’t trigger Chen Ze’s passive skills.

"Hands-on?" Lafra was confused.

"Yes, it’s... that is..." Chen Ze started blushing, as requesting sothing like this... it always seed sowhat indecent.

"It’s what?" Lafra blinked, having never heard the term ’hands-on’ before.

"It ans... it ans I stand behind you, guide your hands to... to make the egg tarts..." Chen Ze felt as if his face were as red as an apple at that mont.

An eerie silence fell over the kitchen, the air seemingly becoming solid, leaving Chen Ze feeling awkward.

After what felt like an eternity to Chen Ze, there finally ca a voice to break the silence.

"You sure have so nerve!" Lafra’s voice sounded sowhat frantic.

Chen Ze hurriedly apologized, realizing his action was borderline hooliganism.

"You are the first human I’ve t with such audacity!" Lafra walked up to Chen Ze, who, looking down, saw a pair of snow-white legs and blood-red shoes.

Then Chen Ze saw Lafra extend a hand and hook his chin with her index finger, forcing him to look directly into her eyes.

"Lafra has really big eyes," was Chen Ze’s first thought.

"Am I being teased by a vampire?" That was his second thought.

"Tsk, human, you have the courage to say that yet lack the courage to look in the eye?" Lafra looked at Chen Ze with disdain, then let go of his chin and stood in front of the table.

"What are you waiting for? Hurry up and teach !" Lafra, with her back to Chen Ze, sounded sohow shaky.

Chen Ze gritted his teeth, knowing that if he missed this opportunity, there might not be another. Who knew how long he could keep Yuna waiting? Surely he couldn’t confine her to the restaurant forever.

Chen Ze slowly moved behind Lafra and then he realized that she barely reached his chin.

Lafra slled good, with a scent akin to flowers, though Chen Ze couldn’t tell which flowers.

Then, Chen Ze noticed sothing odd.

"Lafra... are you okay?" he asked, looking at the trembling Lafra.

"None of your business! I... I just..." Lafra stopped speaking abruptly and stomped hard backward.

"Hiss... Ow, ow, ow!" Chen Ze was sure his toe had swollen up.

"Hmph! Hurry up. I am Lady Lafra of my word, just this once... just... just this one ti... I’ll allow you, this lowly human, to touch my noble hand..." Lafra didn’t turn her head, just stretched out her hand, slightly lifted in mid-air.

Chen Ze swallowed hard, feeling his heartbeat race faster than ever.

Chen Ze reached out and took the trembling hand, cold and devoid of warmth.

However, Lafra’s hand was exceptionally soft, as soft as water.

"You... you presumptuous fellow... have you touched enough!" Lafra stomped on Chen Ze’s foot again.

Chen Ze quickly shook his head to clear the chaos from his mind and focused on teaching Lafra how to make egg tarts.

"First like this, we break the eggs into this bowl, add so granulated sugar to taste. Then, in another bowl, we pour in milk. You have to roughly mix the eggs and sugar first before pouring the eggs into the milk..." Chen Ze was absorbed in the cooking process, using Lafra’s hands to prepare the ingredients for the egg tarts as if he were cooking himself.

"Then, we put the prepared egg tarts into the baking tray and into the oven. Just wait patiently and it’ll be done." Chen Ze let go of Lafra’s hand; all the steps were complete, but he wasn’t sure if he had achieved his goal.

"Do... do I need to do anything else..." Lafra’s voice was very low.

"No, that’s all, thank you, Lafra." Chen Ze was sincere.

While making the egg tarts, Chen Ze noticed that Lafra was constantly shaking, but despite this, she followed through with his instructions to finish the tarts.

"Hmph!"

Chen Ze looked at Lafra’s head, feeling as if her ears seed a tad red.

"Lafra... are you... maybe feeling shy?" Chen Ze was a bit curious.

"Idiot! Who’s feeling shy! You despicable, vile human!" Lafra huffed and turned her head angrily, stomped on Chen Ze’s foot with force, and ran out.

Chen Ze cradled his aching foot and gasped in pain while listening to the sounds coming from the living room.

"Eh? Little Lafra..."

"This is for today’s al!"

Then there was the sound of a door opening and closing.

"You forgot your cola..."
