Su Chen?

After a brief silence, the nurous sect mbers gathered in the area suddenly erupted into heated discussions.

"It's this Star Seed again! What is the Ancient King Stele doing on his floating island? Could he have been chosen?"

Soone suddenly blurted out this question, drawing countless sideways glances.

However, a white-haired Vice Hall Master quickly issued a stern reprimand. "The Ancient King is still alive and well. How could Su Chen possibly be chosen?"

"Then what exactly is going on right now? The Ancient King Stele rushed over entirely out of control. Su Chen must have attracted it," soone muttered softly. This person likely had quite a profound background; otherwise, they never would have dared to speak up right after a Vice Hall Master's stern rebuke.

For a ti, no one could offer an answer.

Yet, the gazes of so individuals could not help but drift toward the dazzling fla overhead. Worry painted their features. Had sothing truly gone wrong with the Ancient King?

Was that why the Ancient King Stele needed to anchor onto a chosen successor ahead of ti?

But this Star Seed was not even at the Morning Star tier! Furthermore, the stele was rely a stele; it was not a true Radiant Moon tier spirit.

It's him again!

Hidden within the crowd, Qin Tianlin silently clenched his fists. As the surrounding discussions drifted into his ears, his expression contorted.

No one knew what the Ancient King Stele's unusual behavior signified, but the fact that it had broken free from its chains and made a beeline straight for Su Chen ant that sothing about him must have triggered its attraction.

It was undoubtedly extraordinary.

Is it Su Chen?

Chu Lingyuan and his two companions stood amidst the starry expanse. Being at the Ninth Tier or the Morning Star tier, their eyesight was exceptional. Piercing through the energy barrier, they clearly saw Su Chen standing on the floating island.

Qing Cang could not help but marvel. Just what had this kid done to make the Ancient King Stele impatiently tear itself from its chains to reach him?

Could it be—

His heart trembled as an ominous premonition washed over him. 'Master... he...'

A flicker of concern flashed through Chu Lingyuan's eyes.

That is Su Chen?

Lu Huai narrowed his eyes. He watched as the Ancient King Stele gave a gentle shudder, suddenly detaching itself from the floating island before shooting straight into the heavens, rushing toward the fla.

"It's heading toward the Hall of the Ancient King..."

The worry in Chu Lingyuan's gaze deepened. It was difficult not to associate the stele's anomaly with the possibility that sothing was amiss with the Ancient King.

Rumors in the outside world claid that the Ancient Bronze King had been tainted by the mutation of the fla and suffered a major crisis. Could the rumors be true?

Lu Huai silently speculated.

"This kid really is restless, stirring up such a massive commotion again," Chu Lingyuan suddenly remarked, a hint of helplessness lacing his tone.

Lu Huai froze. 'What does he an? This isn't the first ti?' he muttered inwardly.

"I have no idea why the Ancient King Stele favors him so much. If he triggers it a few more tis, I'm afraid it will beco incredibly difficult for anyone else to earn the stele's acknowledgnt. It's for the best that Master took it away," Chu Lingyuan sighed.

Hearing this, Qing Cang guessed that this was Chu Lingyuan's diversionary tactic. He had never heard of Su Chen causing any previous anomalies with the Ancient King Stele.

"Is that so?" Lu Huai asked, his face etched with astonishnt. "No wonder this person soared like an ascending dragon the mont he left that barren planet. It seems your new Star Seed is truly extraordinary."

Lu Huai spoke with a look of admiration, but his mind brimd with suspicion. 'Was it genuinely just because of Su Chen?'

A sharp glint flashed in his eyes. Behind his back, fine golden particles of light condensed from the void, converging into his palm to form a pale-gold, hollowed-out sphere the size of a fist. A faintly glowing vortex swirled at its core.

It gave a slight tremor before suddenly radiating an invisible ripple.

Thank goodness it didn't smash down...

Su Chen breathed a sigh of relief as he watched the Ancient King Stele fly away. He reckoned that if the stele's spirit possessed even a fraction more intelligence, it might have crashed straight down on him.

Now that it had been recalled by the Ancient King, would he notice anything amiss?

'It's highly unlikely. A spirit is just a spirit; it cannot converse with people,' Su Chen murmured to himself. At the very least,

a Morning Star tier spirit would not communicate with anyone.

He did not know if the Radiant Moon tier was any different, but this stele was not a genuine Radiant Moon tier spirit anyway.

"The commotion this caused is probably quite massive." Su Chen walked to the edge of the floating island and glanced toward the Bronze Core.

Just as expected, even from this considerable distance, he could see a densely packed crowd gathered at the periter.

"They certainly are eager to watch a spectacle. Who knows what kind of rumors will spread this ti."

Su Chen shook his head, feeling a faint warmth rippling through his body. He looked at the translucent interface floating before his eyes: "Devour successful. The Unsullied has acquired a new ability: Base of Divine Radiance. Please obtain the Heart of Spiritual Light and the Marrow of the Morning Star, and fuse them into yourself using the Profound Heaven Restructuring thod."

"The Heart of Spiritual Light... that seems to be sothing from the Nether Realm. And the Marrow of the Morning Star, could that refer to the bone marrow of a Morning Star tier powerhouse...?

"

"Could this Profound Heaven Restructuring thod be related to the Profound Heaven Sect?"

Su Chen glanced at it and felt a headache coming on. He could only plan this out slowly. Still, at least he had a clear path now and wouldn't have to stumble around blindly like a headless fly.

However, he hadn't even taken two steps after turning around.

Su Chen paused in his tracks once more. Faint specks of brilliance began to gradually surface across his skin, rapidly converging until they ford a beam of light that instantly shot into the sky.

"What is happening now?"

Su Chen's heart tightened, even though he did not sense any pain or impending danger.

Yet, the pillar of light radiating from his body was an undeniable reality. Its sudden appearance inevitably left him unsettled. He took a few steps forward, and the beam of light followed him.

"It really is emitting directly from my body. Just what on earth is—"

Su Chen furrowed his brows. However, this was the core of the Bronze Sect; there shouldn't be any real peril here.

As he cald his mind, he suddenly realized that the color of this light beam felt extrely familiar.

Dark gold interwoven with flowing, sand-like golden radiance... This seed to be the color representing a Star Amber talent. 'Is this pillar of light the manifestation of my talent?'

Su Chen was utterly astonished. But why was it randomly glowing?

'Could it be a result of establishing my foundation? That shouldn't be the case...'

After confirming there was no danger, Su Chen relaxed slightly. Although he had no idea why his talent was manifesting, it wasn't sothing he needed to hide anyway.

There were quite a few others with Star Amber tier talents in the sect. It wouldn't make him stand out too egregiously, so exposing it was fine.

"The Ancient King Stele flew away!"

"It looks like it's heading toward the fla. Did the Ancient King recall it?"

The crowd gathered at the edge of the Bronze Core stared at the retreating Ancient King Stele, exchanging bewildered glances.

They still had no idea why the stele had co in the first place, nor why it had suddenly departed.

"I just hope this anomaly really was caused by Star Seed Su, and not because sothing went wrong with the Ancient King himself."

Soone prayed silently.

"Does anyone have a good relationship with this Star Seed? Go ask him."

Within the crowd, Zhou Yunyang's eyes flickered slightly, but he remained silent.

"Ever since this Star Seed arrived at the sect, he's basically been a recluse. He never cos out unless absolutely necessary and rarely interacts with outsiders..."

The crowd discussed among themselves, and many were already preparing to disperse.

Many of those present were Deacons or Vice Hall Masters, and they still had official duties to attend to.

But then, an unknown voice cried out in shock, "Look at that!"

The people who were just turning to leave abruptly halted in their tracks. Turning back, they witnessed a pillar of dark golden light erupting into the sky from that floating island.

"What is it this ti? Another beam of light?"

Bewildernt filled the eyes of the spectators.

Soone couldn't help but speculate, "Could it be related to the Ancient King Stele's anomaly from just a mont ago?"

"It's rely a pillar of light. It probably has nothing to do with it, right?"

"But why does the color of this beam feel so familiar? This looks like—this looks like... the color of a Star Amber tier talent!"

Soone suddenly shouted, "I've seen the color of Wei Zhenghong's talent before, and it was just like this! That shifting, sand-like dark gold is etched deep in my mory!"

A Star Amber talent!

The venue fell dead silent. Soone exclaid in shock, "This new Star Seed possesses a Star Amber tier talent? Not Black Jade, and certainly not Profound Purple, but Star Amber?!"

Just what did a Star Amber tier talent signify?

A standard Star Seed would normally be at this level. Wei Zhenghong and Shen Yi'an were both in this category, making it exceedingly rare.

Even if one wasn't a Star Seed, baring any unforeseen accidents, soone with this talent was guaranteed to eventually reach the level of a Seat Head.

"This makes much more sense. A Black Jade holding the position of a Star Seed? It was completely illogical from the start."

Soone couldn't help but complain, "But the rumors were way too outrageous! How did a Star Amber tier talent get twisted into Black Jade? Who spread those lies?"

'He actually has a Star Amber tier talent!' Qin Tianlin's mind reeled in profound shock. That ant his own talent was only marginally superior by a single tier.

Looking at it this way, unless he resorted to underhanded thods to assassinate Su Chen, he had absolutely zero hope of shaking the man's position through legitimate ans.

Even if his grandfather returned, it would be the sa. He had thoroughly lost his chance...

Qin Tianlin's face went slack with dazed despair.

When Qin Yun targeted Wei Zhenghong in the past, Qin Tianlin was still young and completely oblivious to the true significance of a Star Seed.

It wasn't until he grew older that he finally grasped the weight of it. By then, Wei Zhenghong's matter was already set in stone, so he hadn't felt too disappointed.

But Su Chen was different. Su Chen represented a blazing beacon of hope placed right before his eyes, only to be ruthlessly extinguished. Naturally, his feelings were entirely different.

'Does this an I have zero hope of reaching the Morning Star tier in this lifeti?'

'I possess a Divine Radiance tier talent! How can I allow myself to die in obscurity!'

Bitter resentnt boiled in his heart, and a dark thought he had buried deep within his mind suddenly surfaced. 'If sothing were to happen to my grandfather, a Morning Star tier position would open up. When that happens, perhaps I—'

The mont this thought appeared, Qin Tianlin severely startled himself. He hurriedly suppressed it, casting a guilty glance at his surroundings.

"It's actually the Star Amber tier?" Lu Huai was quite surprised. He observed the pure, flawless Star Amber light pillar. It was even a Dual Star Amber.

"Senior Brother Lu Huai, what is the aning of this?" Lu Huai felt a heavy weight on his shoulder, and a chill raced down his spine. Without him noticing, Chu Lingyuan had appeared right beside him, his gaze dead and cold.

"I was simply curious about your Star Seed's talent," Lu Huai explained. Probing soone's talent wasn't considered a serious offense.

After all, talent was one of the hardest secrets to conceal, and no one typically went out of their way to hide it.

Otherwise, it would be impossible for the Prophet Society to compile sothing like the Talent Rankings.

Lu Huai just wanted to figure out whether the Ancient King Stele had moved because of Su Chen or because sothing had happened to the Ancient Bronze King.

If this person rely had a Profound Purple talent, then Chu Lingyuan's claims would be highly suspicious. It should have been impossible for Su Chen to casually trigger the Ancient King Stele.

However, with a Dual Star Amber talent, it might genuinely be possible for him to cause the stele's anomaly. It wasn't necessarily related to the Ancient Bronze King.

Chu Lingyuan stared at him with profound, unreadable eyes, remaining silent for a long ti.

It wasn't until cold sweat beaded on Lu Huai's back and his hair stood on end that Chu Lingyuan finally released his grip. "This is the Bronze Sect, not the Profound Heaven Sect," he said calmly. "Senior Brother Lu Huai would do well to show so restraint. Do not employ your Profound Heaven Instrunt so carelessly."

"Understood..." Lu Huai hastily agreed. Yet, he still felt perplexed. Since Su Chen had a Star Amber talent, why did Qing Cang go out of his way to request the Profound Heaven Instrunt?

Chu Lingyuan's gaze subtly swept past Qing Cang. He was also inwardly astonished. 'So Su Chen actually possesses a Star Amber tier talent. Qing Cang certainly hid that deeply.'

'How did Su Chen's talent change to Star Amber?'

Qing Cang's mind was a blank canvas of confusion. Before their return, it was widely rumored that Su Chen's talent was Dual Profound Purple, which he had already found sowhat suspicious.

After all, during the Crimson Thunder Cauldron trial, Su Chen's talent was ranked even lower than Lan Hao's.

He had suspected that Su Chen's true talent was actually Crimson, rather than Profound Purple.

Yet now, it had transford into Star Amber. This was verified by the Profound Heaven Instrunt; there could be no mistake.

'Did the Crimson Thunder Cauldron fail to detect it back then? Or did Martial Uncle Chiyang deliberately hide it?'

Qing Cang couldn't make sense of it. Everyone was currently claiming that he was deeply calculating, intentionally concealing Su Chen's talent to sche against Qin Yun. Who could possibly know the utter bewildernt plunging through his own heart?

Watching the beam of light on the floating island gradually fade away, Chu Lingyuan and the others composed themselves and returned to the aircraft.

Standing before the porthole, a strange light flickered in Wei Zhenghong's eyes. Su Chen actually possessed a Star Amber tier talent, placing him on equal footing.

But a mont later, a delighted smile blood across his face. He figured that Qin Tianlin must be completely swallowed by despair right about now.

Still, he couldn't help but feel a twinge of doubt. He just didn't know what to make of the Ancient King Stele's anomaly.

Compared to Wei Zhenghong, Tang Xiuqi and the others didn't feel as strongly about it. A Star Seed possessing a Star Amber tier talent—wasn't that perfectly normal?

What they wanted to know even more was what had happened with that stele.

The pillar of light vanished...

On the floating island, Su Chen glanced around, his brows tightly locked.

This talent manifestation was centered solely on him. It definitely hadn't triggered without reason; there had to be a catalyst.

"What is going on..."

He wanted to investigate, but after glancing at the Bronze Core, he saw that the gathered crowd was only just beginning to disperse. If he went over right now, it would undoubtedly cause a massive uproar. He had no choice but to suppress his curiosity for the ti being.

On a floating island sowhere within the Bronze Core, the aircraft pulled into the port. Chu Lingyuan led Lu Huai and the rest out.

This area was specifically designed for hosting guests. There were plenty of rooms, and the attendants had already made all the necessary preparations, quickly settling everyone in.

In the grand hall, Chu Lingyuan announced loudly, "The welcoming banquet has already been arranged. Everyone—"

Before he could finish, the bracelet on his wrist suddenly vibrated violently. His eyes flickered, and he offered an apologetic smile. "Excuse for a mont..."

He walked away to check the ssage, but his expression instantly morphed. Without even coming back to say a word, his figure vanished into thin air.

Lu Huai was genuinely bewildered as to what could have happened now. He had only just arrived at the Bronze Sect, yet he had already encountered several bizarre events in rapid succession.

Qing Cang's eyes shifted slightly before he spoke in a placid tone, "Senior Brother Chu is quite busy. I shall host the welcoming banquet in his stead—"

Inside the Hall of the Ancient King, the Ancient Bronze King stared at the Ancient King Stele floating before him, his voice low. "Confusion, fury, and doubt... What exactly did Su Chen do?"

In all his years as the Ancient Bronze King, he had never seen the spirit housed within the stele produce such emotions.

"Truly..." He shook his head and stowed the stone stele away. He didn't plan on letting it out again anyti soon.

"However, how did Su Chen's talent improve so rapidly...?"

As he pondered, a commotion arose outside. Chu Lingyuan strode in with a grave expression. He seed to be in a trendous rush, though he consciously lightened his footsteps the mont he crossed the threshold.

He swept his gaze forward, and seeing that his Master looked no different from their last eting, he breathed a faint sigh of relief. He spoke urgently, "Master, we have news of Qin Yun."

The light in the Ancient Bronze King's eyes flared brilliantly as he listened to Chu Lingyuan continue, "Not long ago, Qin Yun suddenly appeared at one of our external strongholds in a critically injured state."

"According to him, only two people survived the Lost Fla. One is him, and the other is the Hell-Suppressing King."
