"Are Double Mystic Purple talents supposed to be everywhere?" Ni Chuan's cheek twitched, but he rely scoffed coldly, choosing not to continue arguing with Qing Cang.

No matter what, the gap in talent between Su Chen and Ni Bin was far more than just a single tier. All this talk about temperant and ntal fortitude was pointless; being simply adequate was enough.

Even if one's willpower was as hard as iron, they couldn't split their ti in half and use it twice.

As for facing the corrupting power of the Eldritch Gods, under normal circumstances, a person wouldn't encounter it even once in their entire lifeti.

Qing Cang, however, grew increasingly delighted. The more he interacted with him, the more he found Su Chen perfectly suited to his liking. He couldn't find a single flaw in him.

Martial Uncle Chiyang still held a slight bias toward native lifeforms. This amount of ti, combined with his performance in resisting the corruption of the Eldritch God's power, was enough to leave a lasting impression on his Master.

This joy even temporarily overshadowed his worries regarding who the Chosen One would ultimately be.

'It is ant to be for , Qing Cang, to take in such an excellent disciple...' he could not help but think to himself.

But right at that mont, a flash of light caught his peripheral vision. He looked up, his expression shifting into one of pure shock.

The sky had darkened. The Crimson Fla Lightning Dragon once again spanned across the heavens. Within its resonant roar was a palpable excitent that everyone present could feel.

Xia Hanshi tightly clenched his withered hands, while Chong Jingtian's face grew tense. They had been paying attention the mont Su Chen ascended the cauldron, and they already realized what had caused this sudden change.

"This is..." Ni Bin also noticed the commotion on the cauldron, his heart skipping a beat. "The spirituality has taken the form of a dragon, and it's this excited—"

He muttered under his breath, his expression suddenly turning to horror. "Has the one chosen by the Exalted Venerable Crimson Fla Lightning been born?!"

Yet upon that cauldron, aside from the Ancient Bronze King, there was only one other person.

"How is that possible!" Bloodshot veins gradually filled Ni Bin's eyes. His exposed, thick arms trembled, bulging veins popping up as his blood pumped furiously.

Black bristles, as sharp as steel needles, began to sprout out, gradually covering his entire body as a terrifying aura of life force poured forth.

Boom!

The void erupted with a sonic boom as he charged straight toward the top of the cauldron.

Qing Cang was still a bit dazed, his reaction half a beat too slow. Seeing Ni Bin rush up, he hurriedly transford into a streak of azure light and followed closely behind.

Inside the cauldron, Wan Chen slowly awakened. The wariness in his eyes flashed briefly as he instinctively leaped to his feet. He glanced around, his mind exhausted to the absolute limit, yet he still refused to lower his guard.

"For a Tier 5 professional to endure for fifteen minutes is quite excellent," Chiyang said flatly. "There is no need to be on guard. Sense your surroundings carefully; you are no longer in an illusion."

Wan Chen's face remained taut as thoughts raced through his mind. He cursed every single Eldritch God he knew of and found that his feelings of disgust were resurfacing naturally, no longer just a fleeting mont of clarity. He instantly breathed a sigh of relief.

It was finally over.

He swallowed hard. The mont his mind relaxed, his vision went black. He swayed unsteadily for a mont, lingering fear still gripping his heart.

In the past, whenever he heard about soone being corrupted by an Eldritch God's power, he might have echoed the sentint that their "mind was not firm enough." But after experiencing it personally, he finally understood just how terrifying that ntal struggle truly was.

Had he not undergone rigorous training since childhood and exhausted every thod to hold on until now, he would have broken. Even so, there were several tis he had almost failed to resist and nearly prayed for the Eldritch God's help.

He swept his gaze around. Ni Bin and Lin Yue had already woken up. They stood to the side, staring at him, their expressions similarly marked with exhaustion.

Ni Bin's eyes held a hint of wariness toward him, evidently because Wan Chen had endured longer than he had.

'My talent might be a tier lower, but in terms of ntal fortitude, I beat him by a margin,' Wan Chen could not help but think.

anwhile, Lan Hao, Su Chen, and Ming Lin had disappeared.

They must have been eliminated. He was not surprised by this. Taking a deep breath to compose himself, he forced himself to stand upright.

"Talent, temperant, and the next step is actual combat," Chiyang stated. "The application of your professional abilities and the synergy of your special classes must all be demonstrated in real combat."

"The gap between the few of you is not that large. We will eliminate one more person to narrow it down to three, and then the selection will end. Here are so recovery potions prepared for you."

Had the cauldron not been so severely damaged, and had he not slumbered for so long, the entire process would have been far more complex. But under the current circumstances, he could only keep things as simple as possible.

'So it cos down to a fight after all,' Ni Bin scoffed inwardly, cracking his neck. All that talk about talent and temperant was nothing compared to the blunt reality of a brawl.

But then he realized sothing was wrong and frowned. "Eliminate down to three? Aren't there only three of us left?"

Wan Chen was ntally exhausted to the extre and slightly dazed. He had not registered it imdiately, but upon hearing Ni Bin's words, he looked up, clearly just as bewildered.

"No, there is one person..." Chiyang shook his head. He was just about to explain when his figure suddenly dispersed for a split second. By the ti he coalesced again, his head was raised.

A look of absolute astonishnt actually appeared on his stiff face. He murmured softly, "To think such a thing could happen."

Ni Bin and the other two were completely lost. They were still waiting for him to explain where this other person ca from when Chiyang said, "You do not need to fight anymore. The selection is over."

"Huh?" Lin Yue, who had been feeling rather nervous, froze. She had not been very confident in defeating either Ni Bin or Wan Chen, so hearing this filled her with a sudden burst of joy. "Did you miscalculate the number of people?"

Chiyang paused, giving her a speechless look. "Never mind. I will take you up to see for yourselves."

The three of them were completely bewildered. They felt a sudden wave of dizziness as the scenery shifted. When their vision cleared once more, they were imdiately hit by a blazing storm of crimson fire and roaring lightning.

The dazzling light nearly blinded them, yet none of the three could afford to care about that.

"This is..." Ni Bin's pupils shrank as he stared at the crimson dragon coiling in front of him. At the very center of it all, a silhouette was faintly visible, radiating a brilliant glow.

"That looks like..." Wan Chen's heart pounded violently, a look of pure disbelief washing over his face. That silhouette from the back, those clothes—

"Could that be..." Lin Yue's eyes widened in utter shock.

"The Chosen One has already been born, so your selection process naturally has no aning anymore," Chiyang finally said slowly. He was rely a spiritual fragnt, incapable of generating too many independent emotional fluctuations.

But even he could not help but feel a surge of emotion at this mont. He never expected that the mont Su Chen was sent up, he would be chosen.

This spirituality was actually so impatient to claim him—an experience his original body had never once enjoyed back in the day.

"How is that possible!" Ni Bin obviously could not accept this. He did not even bother to think about how Su Chen had inexplicably appeared on the cauldron. He simply yelled sharply, "He only has a Dark Jade talent!"

"The compatibility is too high. It is so perfectly matched that the spirituality is willing to completely ignore his talent." Chiyang had already reasoned it out in his mind, yet he still could not help but feel a sense of marvel. He had never even heard of such a situation occurring before.

"High compatibility?" Ni Bin still could not accept it, his face turning gloomy. "When only half of the spirituality remained earlier, didn't his acknowledgnt only trigger the appearance of two dragon phantoms?"

"Two dragon phantoms?"

Hearing this, a trace of confusion flashed through Chiyang's eyes. He turned and asked, "Did you see this with your own eyes?"

Ni Bin faltered. Of course, he hadn't seen it with his own eyes. He had only heard his father relay what Lan Chen had said, and Lan Chen had heard it from the people of Yingfeng.

Realizing this, his brow twitched, and his face sank like dark water. He had been played.

Judging by the current situation, this person absolutely did not just trigger two dragon phantoms back then. It was simply that his Dark Jade talent had caused everyone to overlook him.

And in the end, he had stolen this opportunity.

"How... unimaginable," Wan Chen muttered under his breath. He realized that ever since they had descended upon Yingfeng, that group of people had been covering this up.

They had not exposed it from beginning to end. Only now, under the watchful eye of the Ancient Bronze King and with Venerable Chiyang's legacy present, could Su Chen finally act without restraint.

Staring at that figure, his emotions were incredibly complex.

"It really is that Su Chen!"

Transforming into a Black-Gold Savage Ape, Ni Bin tore through the sky like a cannonball, hurtling toward the center. A flowing tallic luster covered the surface of his bulging muscles.

A dark-red, berserk aura swirled around his body, forming a ring-shaped domain. He had intended to charge straight in and kill, but the Ancient Bronze King's cold, indifferent gaze forced him to pull back and stop.

"After going to such great lengths, to think we let this bastard steal the prize." Ni Bin's face, a twisted blend of ape-like features and human visage, looked terrifyingly fierce.

"It's actually Su Chen..." Qing Cang, who was following closely behind, looked at Su Chen in the center of the arena. His shock, confusion, and doubt all lted into sheer delight.

No matter what, the Chosen One was not Ni Bin, and it was the disciple he had already picked out. Any way he looked at it, this was fantastic news.

But imdiately afterward, a sudden sense of foreboding rose in his heart.

Martial Uncle Chiyang had just said he was looking to select an inheritor. Did that an his yet-to-be-inducted disciple was no longer going to be his?

The Ancient Bronze King retracted his gaze from Ni Chuan and focused entirely on Su Chen, equally astounded. "His compatibility with this class has actually reached such an unbelievable degree."

It wasn't as if there hadn't been people compatible with Morning Star tier classes in the past, but a perfect match to this extent was utterly unheard of. It had actually caused the spirituality to develop a feeling of sheer impatience to acknowledge him.

One had to understand that such spiritualities were famously arrogant and difficult to ta. The most arrogant spirituality he had ever seen once made over a dozen outstanding candidates, who had achieved the manifestation of three dragon phantoms, battle it out for several years.

In the end, the dead died, the injured suffered, and the single survivor only barely gained its acknowledgnt after paying a massive price.

The spirituality of the Exalted Venerable Crimson Fla Lightning was not considered overly unreasonable, but even his junior brother, Chiyang, had to go through a grueling trial back in the day to beco the Chosen One.

Such a scene was truly a rare sight.

'His talent is a bit lacking, but it isn't sothing that can't be resolved,' the Ancient Bronze King pondered inwardly. 'It will just an a longer advancent ti and likely far more hardships to overco.'

'But ultimately, it is a fortunate stroke of serendipity.'

Although the Chosen One was not yet a mber of their sect, he was naturally inclined toward them, and he was even born on his junior brother's mother planet. Everything had aligned just perfectly.

Su Chen, at this mont, was completely oblivious to the commotion outside. Fleeting fragnts of information surged wildly through his mind—

[Discovered Exalted Venerable Crimson Fla Lightning Class Requirent 3: Elevate at least five Forbidden To-level ditation and body-tempering thods to the Master stage.]

[Discovered Exalted Venerable Crimson Fla Lightning Class Requirent 4: Complete the Crimson Fla Core lting and Lightning Punishnt Body Tempering trials.]

[Discovered Exalted Venerable Crimson Fla Lightning Class Requirent 5: Personally save a corrupted life-bearing planet from the hands of an Eldritch God.]

The Exalted Venerable's remaining class advancent requirents had finally been filled in.

'To think there were three more remaining, bringing the total to a whopping five.' Su Chen clicked his tongue inwardly. Scanning through them, aside from the first talent requirent which he could still comprehend, the rest of the requirents were staggeringly difficult.

'Take it one step at a ti. It's still early anyway...' Su Chen was not particularly worried.

[Beco the Chosen One of the Exalted Venerable Crimson Fla Lightning's external spirituality. Reward: Seed of Morning Fire. Effect: Can be used to ignite the Morning Star Fla.]

[Acquired Spiritual Favor: The developnt efficiency of Fire-elent and Lightning-elent related classes is increased by 100%.]

Becoming the Chosen One actually ca with extra benefits?

Su Chen raised an eyebrow. The first reward allowed him to advance to the Morning Star tier, but that was still far too distant a goal.

The second reward, however, was sothing he could use right now. A doubled developnt efficiency for relevant classes was incredible; he just needed to specifically pick out the suitable ones.

Then again, that wasn't exactly a problem.

The crimson fire and roaring lightning swirling around him gradually faded. The spiritual dragon flew in a circle around him, nuzzling its massive head against his body, radiating an intense sense of affection.

Su Chen couldn't resist reaching out to pet it. Well, there was no physical sensation; it was purely a body of energy...

'Just what kind of misunderstanding did this guy arrive at?' Su Chen could not help but wonder. The pure affection it was radiating was simply too obvious.

'Is the effect of the Exalted Venerable on the status panel really this absurd? Or could it be...'

He formulated a guess. This class spirituality of the Exalted Venerable Crimson Fla Lightning was essentially just a spokesperson, serving only to select a worthy candidate to inherit the class.

However, the class recorded on his status panel was, in a certain sense, the class itself—even if it was rely a mimicry.

'Last ti, that half fragnt of spirituality was intimidated by the Exalted Venerable. It must have mistaken for the Exalted Venerable himself, which is why it feels such a strong affinity toward now?'

While he was lost in thought, the spiritual dragon let out a high-pitched cry. It vigorously transford back into a stone slab, fading into the crimson mist and returning to dead silence.

With his surroundings finally clearing up, Su Chen suddenly realized that he was completely surrounded by people.

Qing Cang stood in the distance, and... where did that black monkey co from? He was montarily startled. Upon closer inspection, he could vaguely make out Ni Chuan's facial features staring coldly at him.

Not far behind them were Wan Chen and the other two, each sporting a different expression. Ni Bin's gaze was the coldest of them all.

'So this isn't over yet,' Su Chen realized inwardly. He first cast his gaze toward the Ancient Bronze King standing a short distance away.

Chiyang had already appeared by the Ancient King's side, staring intently at him.

"Is his na Su Chen?" he asked, still unaware of the Chosen One's identity.

"Yes," the Ancient King nodded slightly.

Chiyang mused for a mont before asking again, "He is a lifeform born on my ho planet, Crimson Lightning. His talent is slightly lacking, but his temperant is astounding. As for other aspects, does Senior Brother know much about him?"

Their conversation was not hidden from anyone present.

A short distance away, Qing Cang's eyelids twitched furiously. He could clearly perceive his beloved Master glancing at him, a faint trace of apology hidden within those eyes.

Then, he heard his Master say, "His temperant is resolute and composed. He is exceptionally sharp and alert. Furthermore, he has not forgotten the nurturing grace of his holand; he knows how to repay his debts of gratitude."

'Those were my words...' Qing Cang sighed lancholically in his heart, already having a premonition of what was to co.

Since his Master had practically apologized to him, who could he bla?

He could only bla himself for insisting on testing the boy, for insisting on waiting for the perfect opportunity. Now, the cooked duck had flown away, and his prospective disciple was about to beco his junior brother.

"If that is the case..." Chiyang nodded. Drifting gracefully until he stood right in front of Su Chen, he asked in a deep, resonant voice, "Are you willing to beco my inheritor?"

'It's done!'

Su Chen's eyes flickered. He let out a long breath, stood up straight, and respectfully called out, "Teacher."

He was accustod to using that address.

Chiyang did not care about the minor difference in the title. He nodded, his emotional fluctuations remaining calm as he simply said, "It is a pity, however, that I cannot offer you much help."

He then turned to look at the Ancient Bronze King. The latter understood perfectly, his voice echoing out, "My junior brother's bequeathed disciple is as good as my own."
