Chapter 559: Age difference of 559
Qing Yue really didn’t want to hurt Ye Gaosheng’s feelings; she was rely stating the facts, “If the War King is unwilling to let go, isn’t Young Master Ye completely helpless?”
Ye Gaosheng was silent for a mont before speaking, his tone rather aggrieved, “Then… I can’t just stand by and watch, can I?”
Qing Yue couldn’t help but laugh.
She truly had never seen such an innocent man before!
“Miss Ye has strong convictions, I trust that if she is not willing, even the War King would not be able to force her against her will.” Qing Yue hadn’t missed how just now Ye Jiu sat in front of Sikong Mo, without a hint of desire to resist, and even the expression on her face was so natural.
This indicated that Miss Ye and the War King had not had such close contact for the first ti; moreover, she had grown accustod to such interactions, which is why there was no discomfort at all.
But Ye Gaosheng was taken aback, “Miss Qing Yue ans to say that my younger sister consents to the War King doing that to her…”
He couldn’t bring himself to utter the next words, no matter how naive he might be, it was simply too direct to say.
Qing Yue nodded her head nevertheless.
…
Sikong Mo walked at the very front of the procession with Ye Jiu, his facial expression still cool and sowhat displeased.
Recalling Ye Gaosheng ntioning their significant age difference, Ye Jiu felt amused and yet thought that her fourth brother was really too bold, daring to speak to Sikong Mo in such a way.
Suppressing her amusent, Ye Jiu spoke, “My fourth brother is a simple man who speaks without restraint, I hope that Young Master Sikong won’t take offense.”
“Has Jiujiu ever felt that I am too old?” Sikong Mo hadn’t given this much thought before.
He only felt that since Ye Jiu was young, he was willing to wait for her to grow up, but he had neglected to consider whether she was willing to let him wait.
“Young Master Sikong achieved fa at a young age, and has been trendously successful. You are now in your pri, how could you possibly be too old?” Ye Jiu said.
She didn’t dare ntion that if one were to consider emotional age, she was almost 30 herself, much older than him!
Ye Jiu’s response satisfied Sikong Mo.
He had heard many people complint him so, yet none of these complints had ever provoked much reaction from him. However, coming from her mouth, they were incredibly touching.
“Jiujiu, when we’re alone, you can call ‘Brother Mo,'” Sikong Mo said with a hint of a smile.
Others had called him that before, but it hadn’t turned out well for that person. Now, he allowed Ye Jiu to address him so, and he felt extrely honored.
Regrettably, Ye Jiu couldn’t bring herself to do it.
It was just too damn cheesy, Ye Jiu thought disdainfully as she shuddered.
She was still a child, and there was Sikong Mo flirting with her so shalessly!
Sikong Mo felt that under the current circumstances, Ye Jiu still politely calling him Young Master Sikong was too distant, so he pressured her until she simply started calling him Sikong Mo.
Fortunately, he wasn’t offended.
And so, Ye Jiu went with the flow.
Since they were transporting supplies, the pace of the journey was exceedingly slow.
They were fine, able to ride horses or sit in coaches, but the soldiers had to march on foot, sotis even helping to push the supply carts.
This journey was less urgent than the one before, so whenever Ye Jiu felt bored she rode on horseback with Sikong Mo, and when she was tired, she would rest in the coach.
Reading books and listening to music, the trip was quite leisurely.
When they passed through the village they had visited before, Ye Gaosheng went out by himself for a long ti.
On his way to the capital city, he had promised a certain old man that when he returned, he would certainly visit them.
