"Nonsense, she was clearly there during dinner yesterday," Old Mrs. Gao identified imdiately.
"I sent her away after dinner," Mrs. Yan said.
Madam Hua’s people were rather impatient, "Gao Family, we don’t care what you’re up to, but since you have taken our silver, you must hand over the person. Where is she?"

Outside, An Ning ran all the way out of the village.
Fortunately, with trees lush in spring and wild grass everywhere, she found spaces to hide.
Hiding in the bushes, watching the pursuers run far, An Ning finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Yet, she soon found herself in a quandary.
The Gao family wants to sell her; returning ans walking straight into the trap, but not returning leaves her nowhere to go, penniless, even survival would be a problem.
But ultimately, An Ning decided she couldn’t go back, at least avoiding these days before thinking further, otherwise, she would probably only be sold off.
Naturally, she realized that the Gao family, wanting to earn fifty taels of silver, certainly wouldn’t sell her to any good place!
