"Thud!" Three fleeing employees suddenly collapsed without moving, clearly killed by Wang Tao.
"Huh?"
The remaining fugitives, or those with such intentions, were filled with fear and backed away.
"Hmph, run, go on, open the door for the police officers, why aren’t you running?" Wang Tao’s sharp gaze left the workers dumbfounded, making them lower their heads in avoidance.
"What are you waiting for? Get to work." Peng Wanli shouted at the stunned crowd, anxious that the police were outside, a raid would end them.
Upon hearing the command, everyone continued transferring the goods. Without doing so, this place was no different from a warehouse, and the production line recently had high output. If caught, the charge would be huge.
Zhao Bing listened to the commotion inside; footsteps had been getting closer, but now they were retreating.
He guessed soone had stopped them. So he observed the chanism door, then told Director Qu, "Old Qu, it looks like we will need to cooperate later; otherwise, we might not handle those two guys inside."
Director Qu and Zhao Bing were practitioners but had always stayed hidden. It was a critical mont; they had to act. They could sense the intense energy inside—two practitioners whose abilities weren’t weak.
One was more powerful than both of them, but they had fifty SWAT mbers with them, doubting anyone could withstand bullets.
"Haha, go ahead, with Old Hong on our side, there’s nothing to worry about." Director Qu was straightforward, understanding what Zhao Bing ant.
Zhao Bing nodded, stepped back a few paces, and told the nearby SWAT team, "Demolition team, get ready! Blow open this door."
"Yes!"
Two demolition team mbers carried small explosives to the stone door. The door had been blocked from the inside, and could only be opened by blasting.
Two minutes later, a tid bomb was set on the stone door. The explosive experts stepped back, pressed the control switch, and a plu of thick smoke billowed from the door, quickly dissipating.
"Boom!"
The door crashed down, and SWAT officers began a cautious advance, weaving forward steadily into the cave.
Zhao Bing and Captain Qu saw the blast-opened cave entrance, quickly following the team inside. But they imdiately felt a strong surge of energy upon entering.
There stood two burly n not far from the entrance, their machine gun squad promptly aid at them.
"Everyone hold fire, wait for my command."
Zhao Bing wasn’t reckless; he knew Earth Dragon had backing. Without evidence shooting people dead would make them as bad as thugs. Being law enforcers, everything had to comply with law.
"Haha, got the nerve to shoot? You’re just a bunch of terrorists."
Wang Tao laughed heartily; most goods were nearly transferred. Even if caught, it would only be a little. They could bla it on a couple of subordinates, saying they left them behind while using drugs.
"You... don’t think we can’t handle you? Just wait and see."
Zhao Bing almost lost his temper, rembering the mission. Chen Tianlong and Zhang Yufei were buying them ti, so he had to keep calm.
"Oh? You smashed our door and pointed guns at , and tell
to wait and see? I’ll sue you!" Wang Tao sneered coldly.
Zhao Bing ignored him, walking with Director Qu past them, everyone else stayed put.
When they reached the two, they presented the police search warrant. "This is our search warrant, we’re police on duty; please cooperate."
"Cooperate my ass."
Wang Tao wasn’t soone who followed the rules. That kind of talk was for civil servants; they were ****, talk of cooperation was nonsense. So Wang Tao signaled Peng Wanli; both began to move against them.
They didn’t believe the SWAT would dare open fire on two leaders mixed among them, and lacking hard evidence, shooting would entail grave charges.
Their actions, at most, would be treated as brawling or assaulting police. If protected, it would just be a two- or three-day detention. But without evidence, shooting them dead would an different consequences.
Surely those two directors wouldn’t be that foolish.
Zhao Bing was on high alert, whispered to Director Qu, "You handle this brazen one, I’ll take care of the quieter one."
"Hey, Old Hong, be cautious." Director Qu wasn’t a fool, knowing Zhao Bing picked the tougher one intentionally leaving him the weaker target.
As they spoke, Wang Tao punched at them, Director Qu dodged swiftly, turned, and drew Wang Tao aside, leaving Zhao Bing and Peng Wanli to confront each other.
Peng Wanli sneered, having judged Zhao Bing’s strength.
"Hmph, courting death!" Peng Wanli sneered, charging at Zhao Bing with disdain.
But Zhao Bing wasn’t soone easy to deal with. He leaped back and swiftly turned. Being military-trained and with practical experience over the years, his apparent Yellow Dao three stars belied greater combat prowess.
Peng Wanli paused, surprised. He hadn’t expected this person to be formidable; assuming his two-level superiority ant an easy win, now he had to go all out.
Li Jun wasn’t a practitioner, but familiar with the situation. During the fight, he led two SWAT mbers away quietly, sneaking into the factory to find the hidden goods.
Passing by the restrooms reminded him of the warehouse he’d seen earlier.
If the factory was moving goods, and so many people vanished in such a short ti, they must have hidden sowhere in the building.
"Where exactly did they hide the goods?"
Li Jun pondered, deciding to check the warehouse. Having worked there for a few days, nothing but the old warehouse seed likely.
Moreover, ti was urgent; they couldn’t have moved the goods far.
With this in mind, Li Jun waved at the two SWAT officers, signaling a move. They nodded and followed him towards the old warehouse.
Before long, they arrived at the warehouse door, only to find it sealed.
Frustrated, Li Jun considered giving up and looking elsewhere. But as he turned, he noticed fresh footprints on the ground.
Li Jun thought briefly, smiling coldly. These footprints were left in the frantic moving of goods; in their hurry, they’d forgotten to hide the prints.
