The thought had scarcely erged in Fu Chenlie’s mind when he suddenly felt everything made sense.

She stared back at him with defiant eyes, saying nothing.
Fu Chenlie’s rage instantly flared, "Mute now? Speak!"
Wen Ran pursed her lips and dropped a cool remark, "I know who I am."
He snorted coldly and turned to leave the resting room.
She watched the door of the resting room close slowly, then sat back down in her chair, but her eyes remained red.
She didn’t know how many more inexplicable humiliations and punishnts lay in the future, nor if Fu Chenlie would beco even more severe. The path ahead was murky; everything was unknown.

Fu Chenlie left the resting room and imdiately called his grandma.
The call was answered quickly, and Grandma’s languid voice carried over, "Isn’t it lunchti? When did my grandson start missing so much that he calls instead of eating?"
His voice was calm and icy, "Grandma, I have sothing to ask you."

Grandma was confused, "Investigate what?"
Fu Chenlie restrained his displeasure, "Do you know she has soone she likes?"
The mont those words were out, there was silence on the other end for two seconds, followed by a laugh, "Is that sothing novel? Isn’t it normal for a young girl in her twenties to have one or two opposite-sex individuals she likes?"

Scoff.
He laughed out of sheer anger, "In your eyes, it’s normal for to marry a woman who’s fixated on another man?"
Grandma chided, "Enough, don’t make it sound so unpleasant."
After reproaching him, she continued to reason with him, "So what if Ranran has soone she likes? Don’t you have soone too? Aren’t you always thinking about Jiang Wan Ning? What’s this, officials can start fires but the common people can’t even light a candle?"
"Grandma!"
He called out with a slightly heavier tone, then pushed down his anger to question again, "You knew she was committed to soone else, and yet you still defend her so? And you even want her to have my child?"

After the counter-question, Grandma spoke earnestly, "In the end, Ranran is now your wife, and you are the legal husband and wife recognized by the state, she belongs to you and you to her.
