The man thought for a mont and finally spoke: "I should accompany my wife to do things she wants to do."

Jiang Wan Ning heard this answer and slightly curled her lips into a smile.

Unexpectedly, despite suffering from a terminal illness, Fu Chenlie still used Wen Ran to annoy her.

Jiang Wan Ning’s heart was filled with rage, wishing she could tear Wen Ran apart, but outwardly, she maintained a gentle and graceful deanor, looking at him with a pursed-lip smile: "Ah Lie, you really like her."

"She’s very good, worthy of my affection."

"And what about ? When we were together as couple two years ago, did you truly like ?"

Fu Chenlie didn’t answer directly: "People should look forward, you don’t always have to dwell on the past."

Her tone was light, yet cutting: "Look forward to what? Look towards death?"

He furrowed his brows and said nothing more.

After a few seconds, the man pushed open the car door and got out, walked to the back and opened the car door, looking at the woman inside, spoke solemnly: "You’re tired, go ho early and rest."

Jiang Wan Ning looked at the already opened car door and eventually didn’t stay in the car any longer.

She got out, glanced sideways at Fu Chenlie who was about to close the car door, and seized the mont to hug him fiercely from behind.

Fu Chenlie’s face changed dramatically, imdiately trying to pull her arms away.

"Don’t!" Jiang Wan Ning shouted.

She pleaded weakly and pitiably: "Ah Lie, I just want to hold you once, I’m really sad right now, can’t see any hope for life, I wish I could die right now, if you push away, I truly feel there’s nothing in this world worth lingering for, so please, let hold you."

Though Jiang Wan Ning had put it that way, the man didn’t stop trying to pull her away, just the force was ultimately lighter than before.

He furrowed his brows: "Wan Ning, I’m married."

This reminder was brief yet clear.

Jiang Wan Ning understood.

But she didn’t let go imdiately, even trying to justify her transgressions: "I know, I’m not asking for anything more, I just want to hug you for a mont, Ah Lie, please don’t push away."

The man’s face was unsightly, and he forcefully pulled her arms away.

He turned around, looked at her with a complex expression: "If you act like this, I won’t be able to look after your matters anymore, nor will I co to see you."

The latter was stunned into silence.

Several seconds later, the woman found her voice: "Ah Lie, I’m dying, are you unwilling to give a little comfort and tenderness before I die?"

Fu Chenlie looked at her with a complicated expression and slowly spoke: "Firstly, you shouldn’t always brainwash yourself with the idea of approaching death, with treatnt, you won’t be in trouble so soon; secondly, as long as people are alive, they are bound by moral and legal constraints, cancer patients who commit murder still go to jail. Similarly, even if your condition is serious, entangling with , a married man, will bring you sha, so for the sake of your dignity, don’t act impulsively anymore."

Jiang Wan Ning stared at him, unsure of how to respond.

She laughed at herself: "After saying so much, you just think I don’t respect myself, don’t you?"

"That’s not what I ant."

"As long as I can be with you, what’s wrong with not respecting myself? Do you really think soone like who won’t live long cares what others think? I just want to do what I want to do."
