He slightly raised an eyebrow, "Is it difficult?"
"Not really, I can’t say for sure."
"Since you’re done with the exam, don’t think about it anymore."
Wen Ran nodded in agreent and asked, "Was Mr. Lu’s engagent party busy?"
Fu Chenlie moved his eyes with a hint of guilt.
Seeing him stay silent, she pressed further, "Why aren’t you responding to ?"
"I’m here."
"Then why aren’t you answering the question?"
While driving, he turned his head slightly to glance at her, "Because I’m not sure either."
"Didn’t you go to see it?"
"I went to find Jinglun in the afternoon; he was at ho and not at the engagent venue."
Wen Ran nodded with a serious deanor, sneering, "So is Ah Yan handling everything for the engagent party?"
"Probably."
"You sound uncertain; didn’t Mr. Lu tell you?"
The man replied with a question instead, "Are you upset?"
"No, I just think Ah Yan is working so hard. Even if it’s only hard work, what she does is probably thankless in Mr. Lu’s eyes."
"Possibly."
Wen Ran was annoyed and couldn’t help but swear, "Is Lu Jinglun out of his mind?"
Fu Chenlie chuckled softly, raised his hand to ruffle her hair, "Alright, don’t overthink it. Ms. Jiang and Jinglun are going to be married; between husband and wife, there’s no you or . For things concerning both, one has to worry."
"Then why can’t Lu Jinglun be the one who worries?"
"Just consider it as him being immature and throwing a tantrum. Let’s say Ms. Jiang is choosing not to hold it against him."
She frowned, "Ah Yan is really unlucky. If she hadn’t applied for a job at the Lu Group back then or beco Lu Jinglun’s secretary, maybe all these troubleso things wouldn’t have happened."
"Since they t, it ans there’s a connection between them."
"It would be better off without this connection."
He stopped the car for a red light, turned to look at her, "It’s rare to see Madam so emotional; your reaction to matters concerning Ms. Jiang is quite unusual."
Wen Ran t his gaze, "If I got emotional over sothing to do with you, would you pay attention to ?"
"Why wouldn’t I?"
"Wouldn’t you find botherso?"
The man answered without hesitation, "No."
"Liar."
"Am I?"
She turned her head, her gaze fell on the passing traffic through the windshield, and her eyes wandered far, "n don’t like unreasonable won, nor do they like coaxing won. Even if they don’t find it annoying, they do find it troubleso."
Fu Chenlie stared at her seemingly distracted look and suddenly felt that his Madam Fu, at tis, was quite perceptive.
Yet he also thought that her reasonableness in front of him was because she didn’t like him enough.
n can be quite contradictory sotis too.
He collected his thoughts and chuckled self-deprecatingly, "Is that why Madam is so gentle and understanding in front of ?"
Wen Ran spoke slowly, "I naturally have a good temper, not just gentle and understanding in front of you. As for Ah Yan’s matters, it’s because Lu Jinglun went too far that I’m angry."
He responded with a "Hmm," "That’s true."
The traffic light turned green, and Fu Chenlie drove the car forward once more.
About fifteen minutes later, the car arrived at Huan Island Villa.
Once inside the living room, Wen Ran sized up the man already in a suit, "Do you need to change clothes?"
He slightly opened his arms and jokingly asked, "Does Madam think I need to change?"
She shook her head, "No need. You look better than others no matter what you wear. Overdressing might overshadow others."
