Fu Tianxin pushed open the door, holding Grandma’s arm as they walked in.

Grandma glanced at Jiang Wan Ning, her expression displeased: "My grandson is truly fond of you, setting up such a nice office."

Upon hearing this, Jiang Wan Ning imdiately looked up.

Seeing that it was Fu Chenlie’s grandma, she quickly put down her work and stood up.

As she walked toward the center of the office, Jiang Wan Ning felt nervous inside but still managed to display a graceful smile: "Grandma, long ti no see. How have you been these past two years?"

Grandma leisurely replied, "My grandson got married, his wife is sensible and kind, everything is good for ."

Jiang Wan Ning detected the underlying aning but could only maintain her smile: "I just returned to Jiang City not long ago, and I haven’t had the chance to visit you, Grandma. I hope you don’t mind."

Grandma snorted without saying a word.

Fu Tianxin spoke just at the right mont: "It’s a good thing you didn’t visit, otherwise you’d probably be blocked outside. After all, the Fu Family’s door isn’t open to just anyone."

Jiang Wan Ning’s composed smile appeared slightly strained.

Grandma made herself comfortable on the sofa, glanced at her; "Ms. Wan Ning, I don’t have a granddaughter like you, so I can’t bear your calling Grandma. Please stop."

The latter’s mouth twitched slightly: "Did you co to see for a particular reason?"

"You disappeared for two years and suddenly appeared now; what’s your intent?"

"I had so personal matters that required to go abroad before. Now that everything is handled, I’ve returned, with no special intention."

This answer made Fu Tianxin roll her eyes: "What matter would take two years? And you happen to return right after my brother’s marriage, how interesting."

Jiang Wan Ning said nothing.

Grandma looked at her and spoke solemnly: "Did you co back this ti to reconcile with Ah Lie?"

Jiang Wan Ning’s eyes flickered, seemingly surprised by Grandma’s directness.

She quickly spoke earnestly: "Yes."

Grandma stared at her with displeasure, irritation, and a hint of scrutiny.

Jiang Wan Ning t her gaze and took the opportunity to promise: "Grandma, if Ah Lie and I reconcile, I will surely be filial to you, better than Ms. Wen."

Fu Tianxin rolled her eyes for the second ti: "You truly have so nerve."

Jiang Wan Ning pursed her lips, adjusted her posture, raised a hand to tidy her stray hair, and spoke with her head lowered: "I just love Ah Lie and want to be with him. What’s wrong with that?"

"Knowing he’s married, yet you want to interfere and wreck his marriage, that’s the biggest wrong."

"The woman he married should have been ."

Fu Tianxin sneered; "Should have been? What do you an by should have been? When you were my brother’s girlfriend, you should have been there taking care of him during his car accident coma, but you ran away. Now, seeing his healthy body and successful career, you return saying should have been? Jiang Wan Ning, you really are ridiculous."

"I left then because I had my reasons."

"What nonsense reasons? You may have fooled my brother with that story, but don’t try that on . We’re both won; who can’t see through whom?"

Jiang Wan Ning pursed her lips, tilted her chin up, and said calmly: "Tianxin, you have a prejudice against . Considering that you’re Ah Lie’s sister, I won’t argue with you, but please know your limits."

"I..."

She wanted to say more, but Grandma intervened: "Tianxin, sit down."

Fu Tianxin gritted her teeth silently but didn’t defy Grandma and obediently sat beside her.

Jiang Wan Ning studied the two of them, finally looking at Grandma: "Did you co to find today; does Ah Lie know?"
