After Wen Ran’s words had fallen, Fu Chenlie’s complexion had already turned dark.
He rose from the sofa and, striding over with long steps, approached her, looking at her with dangerous eyes, "Are you talking about ?"
She feigned innocence, seemingly confused as she questioned back, "Husband, why would you ask that? Do you think you always act like others owe you money every ti you interact with soone? Is that how you see yourself?"
"Wen Ran!" The man’s voice heavily emphasized her na as anger almost burst forth.
Wen Ran explained as if sincerely alard, "I was just making an example just now; don’t overthink it. How would I dare to speak about you? After all, with you, I have no choice but to obey, let alone be sarcastic!"
With you, I have no choice but to obey.
These words had been said by Fu Chenlie during dinner when he had told her to beg him.
Now, she laid them out exactly as he had said, blocking him with his own words.
As her words ended, Wen Ran pointed towards the bedroom, "Husband, I’m sleepy, I’m going to bed first, good night."
With that, she quickly made her escape.
The mont Wen Ran turned around, her mouth couldn’t help but start to curve upward, grinning so much that her teeth were showing.
Who couldn’t be sarcastic, after all?!
To think he knew that he always looked like others owed him money!
Although she didn’t dare to confront Fu Chenlie directly, tonight’s implications had allowed her to vent a bit of her spite, quite comfortably so!
Fu Chenlie stood downstairs, watching her panic and rush upstairs into her room, his handso face so gloomy it seed it could drip with moisture.
Very well, she actually dared to play the ga of insinuations with him!
...
The next day, Wen Ran got up early and made breakfast.
She boiled porridge and stir-fried so small dishes.
Not knowing whether Fu Chenlie had accepted the fact that she couldn’t cook dishes that only a five-star hotel chef could make, when he entered the dining room and saw the breakfast on the table, he didn’t pick and choose anymore. After sitting down, he quietly picked up the utensils and began to eat elegantly.
Wen Ran sighed with relief in her heart.
This cooking ordeal, she should have passed smoothly, right?!
After breakfast, Fu Chenlie drove her to the company.
Fu’s underground parking lot.
When the doors to the CEO’s private elevator opened, Fu Chenlie’s phone rang. He answered the call and entered the elevator, watching the doors close without giving Wen Ran a single glance, as if the two were complete strangers.
Understanding her place, Wen Ran stood aside, waiting for the public elevator.
She needed to stop by the reception desk.
She had ordered books for the teacher qualification exam online, and the package had arrived at reception that morning.
For Wen Ran, being a driver was not a long-term solution, but for now, there was no turning back, so she planned to spend her ti as a driver studying for the teacher’s exam later this year.
Once she passed her teaching qualification, she would also prepare for the teacher recruitnt exam.
When she was young, the area she lived in was very poor, and it was only when teachers ca to educate that the village children had books to read. At that ti, her Grandma had encouraged her to study hard and also beco a teacher, to return to her ho and educate others.
Although later on, her hotown developed, and education improved, teachers were no longer a scarce resource.
Yet the idea of becoming a teacher had taken root in Wen Ran’s heart and beca her career aspiration.
She had originally filled in a normal college on her college entrance examination form, but in the end, because her score had just missed the enrollnt cutoff, she had lost the opportunity to attend. That’s why, after graduating, she planned to study for her teaching qualifications while working.
Even though she unexpectedly beca Fu Chenlie’s driver.
But a job with an inco was still work, and things were, by and large, proceeding according to her plan.
