Wen Ran always felt that after last night, their relationship had made a qualitative leap.

Although they hadn’t truly solidified their husband-and-wife status, wasn’t it close enough?

Fu Chenlie suddenly looked up at her: "I’m dedicating today entirely to you. What do you want to do?"

"So sudden, I haven’t thought about it." The truth was, happiness had co too abruptly.

He asked, "Do you like shopping?"

"Do you?"

"Not particularly. Don’t most won love shopping?"

She chuckled lightly: "Do you understand won really well?"

"Not at all."

"Oh."

Could it be that when he was with Jiang Wan Ning, she loved shopping, so he assud this?

She casually conjured up so scenarios but didn’t let such guesses sour her mood. Snapping out of it, she looked at him: "Then let’s go shopping, shall we? Let experience the joy of n picking up the tab."

"What, you’ve never had a man pay for you before?"

"Nope."

Fu Chenlie elegantly picked up a dish, his eyes fixed on her, and asked casually: "You’re so beautiful; didn’t your boyfriends buy things for you when you were dating?"

Wen Ran’s eyes lit up.

Did he just call her beautiful?

Though she’d heard him complint her beauty before, today’s remark sounded particularly sweet.

She smiled and responded, "I’ve never been in a relationship."

Fu Chenlie raised his eyebrows, secretly pleased, though his face betrayed nothing: "I see."

After the al, the two headed out together.

Today, Wen Ran wasn’t Fu Chenlie’s driver; she was his Mrs. Fu.

Sitting in the passenger seat, her heart felt inexplicably sweet.

On the way, her thoughts drifted to his deanor at yesterday’s banquet when he publicly announced their marriage, then to the satisfaction she felt standing tall before Liu Jing, and finally to the sudden advancent in their relationship last night...

Wen Ran couldn’t help but turn to look at him: "Honey, when you announced our marriage at the banquet yesterday, was it just to give a sense of security?"

"Why are you asking this?"

"Because I feel like it wasn’t just for that one reason."

The man glanced at her out of the corner of his eye and responded casually: "What other reasons could there be?"

She thickened her skin and said frankly, "Could it be that you think too many people like and you don’t want them eyeing , so you decided to publicly declare I’m married, off-limits?"

Fu Chenlie, "..."

He smirked faintly: "You’re pretty full of yourself, aren’t you?"

Wen Ran held back her laughter, smugly replying, "If I could choose, I’d prefer calling it confidence."

The man chuckled softly.

She remained unabashed and continued: "You know Zhao Xiuyun likes , you’re aware the town’s PhD likes , and you saw how Qin Zeyu likes , plus President Tan even said he liked at the banquet..."

At this point, Wen Ran exaggeratedly mimicked Fu Chenlie’s tone as she said, "You must have thought, ’Why does this woman have so many buzzing flies around her? It’s endless! Might as well announce our marriage outright so they can all see—she’s mine, Fu Chenlie’s woman!’ Isn’t that it?"

Fu Chenlie shot her a look, sneering aloud: "Mrs. Fu, I didn’t peg you as such a drama queen."

She looked at him expectantly: "Did I nail it? Is that actually what you were thinking?"

The man snorted lightly: "I’ve got a question for you instead."

She eyed him curiously: "What do you want to ask?"

At just the mont the traffic light turned red, Fu Chenlie stepped on the brake, turned his head, and fixed her with an unrestrained, probing gaze: "Mrs. Fu, since when did you start understanding this well?"
