Fu Chenlie glanced at him: "Do I need your help?"
The latter sneered lightly: "You’re just bothered that your relationship with the Little White Rabbit is purely an agreent. She didn’t actively agree, so you’re too embarrassed to make a move, right? Last ti, you tried to force it and got hurt by her. Now, you’re even less daring; I, as your brother, am offering you a suggestion for your own good."
The man swirled the wine in his glass, narrowing his eyes at him: "What lousy idea do you have?"
Lu Jinglun leaned in closer and whispered two words in his ear: "Use drugs."
Upon hearing this, Fu Chenlie imdiately furrowed his brows: "Lu Jinglun, how could you even say sothing so vile as drugging a woman? When did you beco this disgusting?"
He glared at him: "Which ear of yours heard that I’d drug a woman? The drug is for you."
Fu Chenlie’s face darkened: "I’m not incapable. Why would I use drugs?"
"Once the drug takes effect, the Little White Rabbit might see how much pain you’re enduring and possibly offer herself to you. Then, wouldn’t it be effortless to solidify your marital relationship? Isn’t it a brilliant plan?"
"I don’t need it."
Lu Jinglun rolled his eyes and chuckled lightly: "Oh, got it."
As he spoke, he glanced at Fu Chenlie’s wine glass.
He knew Fu Chenlie was proud and disdainful of such actions.
But as a brother, so things still needed a little push.
So, he had already slipped the drug into the glass before handing it to him.
Now, it remained to be seen whether the Little White Rabbit tonight would sacrifice herself for him.
Lu Jinglun took a sip of his own drink and glanced at Fu Chenlie again: "Since you’re publicly announcing your marriage with the Little White Rabbit tonight, does that an you’re not planning to get a divorce?"
"Mm."
"If Jiang Wan Ning cos back by then, how will you handle it?"
Fu Chenlie’s gaze grew deeper.
His eyes fixed on a petite figure in the crowd, and after a mont, his thin lips moved slightly: "Wen Ran is great. She’s soone worthy of spending a lifeti with. As for everything else, we’ll see."
Lu Jinglun nodded: "The Little White Rabbit is indeed a good choice. So just treat her well."
The man gave a small "Mm."
Lu Jinglun glanced at his glass and said with an amused expression: "It’s just half a glass of wine. How co it’s taking you so long to drink it?"
Fu Chenlie took the initiative to clink his glass with Lu Jinglun’s, then finished the remaining liquid in one gulp. He displayed the empty glass to Lu Jinglun: "The banquet is wrapping up. I’m heading out."
"Oh. By the way... the Little White Rabbit didn’t have anything to drink, did she?"
"No, she doesn’t drink alcohol."
Lu Jinglun clicked his tongue and comnted: "Good girl."
Fu Chenlie shot him an unimpressed glance and strode toward Wen Ran.
...
Wen Ran was chatting with Jiang Yan about Fu Chenlie’s unilateral decision to make their marriage public. She also ntioned Liu Jing’s shaless suggestion to make a bet with her.
Jiang Yan angrily cursed.
After a few curses, Wen Ran noticed Fu Chenlie approaching and quietly said: "My husband’s here."
Jiang Yan imdiately stopped and teased her: "Your husband? Ranran, you’re saying ’husband’ so naturally and fluently."
"He made call him that from the beginning. After saying it so many tis, it’s beco a habit."
"I think you don’t mind it either."
Wen Ran giggled sheepishly.
Originally, Fu Chenlie was already close to reaching them, but after her giggle, when she looked over, she realized his steps had paused, and he raised a hand to rub his temple.
She couldn’t help but feel suspicious—
Did he drink too much, and now he had a headache?
Wen Ran walked up to him and stopped at his side, naturally holding onto his arm. Tilting her head, she asked him with concern: "Husband, are you feeling unwell?"
