After asking the question, Fu Chenlie sneered, "The lobby of Fu Group is bustling with people, why did you specifically bump into Tan Qiming’s arms? Don’t tell it was just a coincidence!"
It was indeed a coincidence.
But he didn’t believe her, what could she do?
Wen Ran looked at him with a hint of fear in her eyes, her lips slightly pursed, appearing pitiful.
Noticing her expression, Fu Chenlie narrowed his eyes and reminded her, "I’m talking to you!"
She knew.
But she didn’t know what to say.
Wen Ran pursed her lips, and while hesitating, she carefully reached out and tugged at the hem of his clothes twice, her apricot eyes looking into his as she softly began, "You are my husband, and we have been married for so ti now. Don’t I deserve any of your trust?"
He glanced at her hand clutching his clothes, then shifted his gaze to her face and countered, "What do you think?"
Wen Ran started to beat around the bush, "Even if you don’t trust , you should at least trust yourself."
He frowned, leisurely watching her, "What do you an by that, Mrs. Fu?"
She cleverly argued, "You are the CEO of Fu Group, while Mr. Tan is just the CEO of Huasheng Technology. Huasheng Technology relies on investnts from Fu Group. Why would I intentionally bump into Mr. Tan’s arms when I could have bumped into yours?"
"Oh?"
"You are better, more handso, wealthier, and even taller than him. I have no reason to throw myself at soone inferior to my own husband in every way. Honey, this is such a simple concept, you must understand it too, right?"
Fu Chenlie disdainfully scoffed, "You make it sound so nice, but when Tan Qiming gave you his business card, didn’t you still take it?"
"I didn’t want to take it at first," she imdiately replied.
After a pause, she added, "He insisted on giving it to , and since he was a partner of Fu Group, I didn’t want to hurt his pride in case it would affect your business dealings, so I reluctantly accepted it. Didn’t I give the card to you right after he left?"
Fu Chenlie looked at her, saying nothing.
After all, she had indeed handed the card to him voluntarily.
Seeing his sharp gaze soften, Wen Ran imdiately raised three fingers, solemnly vowing, "Honey, I swear I have no extra thoughts about him. I promise I didn’t bump into him on purpose. If I’m lying, then... then punish by making your wife for life! Is that enough?"
His expression had softened sowhat.
But upon hearing the punishnt she ntioned, his face suddenly displayed three lines of irritation!
Fu Chenlie almost gnashed his teeth as he called out, "Wen! Ran!"
She imdiately shrank back like a scared little bird, ekly saying, "I... I’m here... Honey, what’s wrong?"
He abruptly raised his hand, pinching her chin tightly with the thumb and index of his right hand, and looked down at her imposingly, "Being my wife is your honor, not a punishnt, understand?"
Wen Ran was forced to look up into his eyes; although her chin hurt from the pinch, she still retorted, "Then do you believe ?"
Fu Chenlie hadn’t expected her to logically continue questioning the topic they were discussing, and montarily frowned, coldly mocking, "You really do focus on the main points!"
She said, aggrieved, "I just don’t want you to doubt ."
He narrowed his eyes, studying her for a few seconds before abruptly releasing her chin, lowering his head to glance at her left hand, and seeing her ring finger bare, his eyes sharply questioned into hers, "We bought a ring, why aren’t you wearing it?"
