Wen Ran chuckled, "It’s more than enough."
Fu Chenlie’s monthly salary, who knows how many tens of millions it could be?
After answering that question, Wen Ran’s gaze worriedly shifted toward the kitchen.
She wondered if Fu Chenlie would even wash the dishes.
Hopefully, he wouldn’t end up breaking all their dishes.
Thinking this way, she turned to the elderly lady and said, "Grandma, you sit here for a bit, I’ll go check if he has finished washing the dishes and also tell him where to put them afterward."
The latter nodded, "Okay, go and check."
"Mhm."
Wen Ran got up and jogged into the kitchen.
Once inside, she saw Fu Chenlie leaning against the side of the cabinet, his arms crossed elegantly over his chest, not washing dishes at all.
Wen Ran looked at him, speechless, "What are you doing?"
He answered succinctly, "Waiting for you."
"Waiting for to do what?"
"Wash the dishes."
Wen Ran, "..."
She really gave him that.
Unable to resist, she asked, "Would you die if you washed the dishes?"
"No."
"So you’re not going to wash them?"
He glanced at her sideways and repeated, "I said no, didn’t I?"
It was then that Wen Ran realized his first "no" ant he didn’t know how to wash dishes.
In an instant, her gaze at the man filled with astonishnt.
A few seconds later, Wen Ran burst out laughing, "Aren’t you usually quite capable? How co you don’t even have the basic ability to take care of yourself, not knowing how to wash a dish? Hubby, are you really that hopeless?"
She had intended to mock him.
However, upon her words, the man’s face didn’t show any embarrassnt from being mocked. Instead, he confidently admitted, "Yes, I’m that hopeless. So, smart Mrs. Fu, hurry up and wash the dish, don’t wait for Grandma to co in and expose your lie."
Wen Ran couldn’t help but glare at him, "...Why are you like this?"
Fu Chenlie stepped closer, looking down at her, "What about ?"
She moved a step away toward the sink to dodge him before saying, "Can’t even wash a dish and still threatening ."
"Am I threatening you?" The man seed to find the suggestion amusing.
After speaking, he sternly looked at her as he figuratively calculated, "Mrs. Fu, my hands are burnt because of you and even have toothpaste on them; you still want to wash dishes? Aren’t you being a bit too cruel?"
"I had you wash the dishes to give you a chance to show off in front of Grandma."
"Did I say I needed that chance?"
Wen Ran, "..."
She glanced at him mildly, "No, I guess I was just being presumptuous, right?"
After saying that, Wen Ran pushed him aside and began washing the dishes.
Fu Chenlie leaned against the cabinet, watching her movents while smirking, "Talking about giving a chance to show off, but in the end, isn’t it just to make yourself look good?"
Wen Ran glanced at him during a mont of washing, "What do you an by that?"
"If I perform well, Grandma will just think you have good taste for picking such an excellent husband, won’t she?"
"Oh, yes."
She went along with his words and then smiled at him, "I didn’t expect you’d uncover my little sche, Mr. Hubby, you are really clever."
Fu Chenlie, "..."
How could he not hear the sarcasm in her words?!
But never mind, he couldn’t be bothered to argue with her.
After a few silent seconds, he asked again, "What were you talking to Grandma about outside?"
