Wen Ran sat down beside him with a feeling of trepidation.

Fu Chenlie seed quite pleased, his lips curving into a smile without making a sound.

He looked at the apples on the table, picked up a small piece skewered with a toothpick, and brought it to Wen Ran’s lips.

Wen Ran’s face changed drastically, looking at him as if she’d seen a ghost and stamred, "Boss... what are you trying to do?"

The man looked displeased and retorted, "Are you blind or what? Can’t you see I’m feeding you fruit?!"

"I can’t accept this, please don’t kill with kindness," she said politely, yet in her mind she cursed—

You’re the one who’s blind!

Your whole family is blind!

Unfortunately, Fu Chenlie couldn’t hear her inner roar, and he continued to explain the intention behind feeding her fruit, "This isn’t killing with kindness; it’s normal communication between husband and wife, mutual feeding, which is good for fostering affection."

Wen Ran was so shocked she almost dropped her jaw.

Feeding each other might indeed develop affection with normal people, but feeding with Fu Chenlie would only cultivate her ability to withstand stress.

She looked at him skeptically, "Boss, where did you learn that from?"

He frowned, seemingly very dissatisfied that she asked such a question, "Do I need to learn this trivial skill?"

Wen Ran smiled, took the piece of apple from his hand, and put it back on the dish, "Thank you, Boss, but I don’t like apples. You eat it."

The man stared at her, "Don’t like apples, shall I peel you a banana?"

"No, no, no."

After three consecutive refusals, she asked him, "Boss, may I eat my al? I started cutting fruit for you before I had finished my lunch."

His gaze hardened, "Are you blaming ?"

She shook her head quickly, "No, no, I’m just saying I’d like to eat so more."

Fu Chenlie looked at her with disdain, "Are you a pig?"

Wen Ran felt uncomfortable under his gaze, the smile on her face instantly stiffened, and the corners of her mouth slowly faded.

Fu Chenlie lifted her chin, turned her face left, then right, and after scrutinizing her, let go of her face in distaste. While elegantly wiping his finely jointed fingers with a tissue, he coldly judged, "All you know is to eat, not caring how fat you’ve gotten."

She glared at him, fury running wild within.

Was she fat?!

At one ter six and ninety-nine kilograms, she had the right curves in all the right places—a perfectly standard figure, not fat at all.

Was Fu Chenlie blind?!

What kind of person is this?!

No, what kind of disgusting thing is this?!

Wen Ran felt a fire burning in her chest with no way to vent it out.

She felt that dealing with Fu Chenlie would inevitably lead to breast hyperplasia soday.

For the sake of her health, she planned to go to the hospital for a breast examination every three months.

Early examination for early prevention, early detection for early treatnt.

Having dealt in the business world for many years, Fu Chenlie had long honed the skill of discerning people’s hearts.

At this mont, seeing Wen Ran’s dislike for him yet her inability to do anything about it, he felt extrely pleased.

Pleased with himself, he got up from his chair with a curl of his lips, gave her a condescending look, and began a new round of exploitation, "In half an hour, make a cup of coffee."

Without waiting for Wen Ran to reply, he turned and walked toward his desk.

She watched his retreating back, her hand clenching into a fist.

She was itching to squeeze him to death!

Strangle him!

Wen Ran averted her gaze, took a long breath, visualized Fu Chenlie as the food before her, and chewed it apart before swallowing.

Fifteen minutes later, lunch was over.

She cleaned the food container and returned to her rest area.

Ding—

She received a text ssage.

Wen Ran leaned back in her chair, relaxed for once, picked up her phone and checked the ssage on the screen.

Assuming it was from 10086 or so spam ad and ready to delete it, she opened the ssage only to find that it was a bank deposit notification—
