Chapter 64: Chapter 60: Above the Star Cluster (Seeking Recomndation Tickets, Monthly Tickets)_2 Chapter 64: Chapter 60: Above the Star Cluster (Seeking Recomndation Tickets, Monthly Tickets)_2 Such a mouse should not be underestimated and mocked!

Gary Smith stopped laughing, crouched down to pat its head and praised it earnestly, “Yes, Mousie is the best!”

“Hmm, at least you have so taste,” the little hamster was so happy after being praised, its mouth unconsciously curled up, but soon it pretended to be indifferent, and began to tell its stories.

“This is nothing, think of the ti when I road the Convenience Store…”

Gary Smith put it on his shoulder, lined up to check out quietly, and listened to it tell about its past glory.

He didn’t speak, just listened quietly.

He listened to Mousie talk about how, after starving for three days, it found a half bag of discarded tomato-flavored chips, and how happy it was after eating them.

That was luscious delicacy far more enjoyable than hamster food.

It spoke about why it would buy caral pudding.

Last month, on its first birthday, when it didn’t find any chips in the usual convenience store, it found pudding.

However, because the pudding was too heavy, it almost got caught by the shopkeeper who almost hit it with a broomstick.

It barely escaped death, but in the end, it escaped using its unpolished shadow ability.

However, the sweet pudding made Mousie’s birthday very happy.

It loved the flavor.

Talking about its birthday, the little hamster started reminiscing about its mother, and its lively eyes dimd a bit.

Not that it was hosick, but because…

Forgot!

It had forgotten what its mother looked like…

Before becoming a super creature, its brain capacity could only store events from the past few months.

And, it had been brought ho by a little human girl since full moon age, and then it lived with her the entire ti, watched animations and TV with her, and learned a lot of knowledge about the human world.

That was the happiest ti in its life.

Finally, because she got bored with it and didn’t want to keep a hamster anymore, on the day it was about to be discarded, it sneakily opened its cage, ran into the sewer, stealthily ate the Blood of Followers and tamorphosed into a super life form.

Up until now, it had been wandering for three months.

It didn’t resent that little girl, just felt regretful.

On many nights, it imagined that its mother would have had a very warm embrace…

Thinking of this, the little hamster looked at Gary Smith paying the bill, and wanted to hear his opinion, be it comforting or praising, but Gary Smith didn’t say a word and didn’t pay any attention to it even after leaving the supermarket.

“Heartless humans!”

The little hamster, who didn’t get a response, felt very unhappy.

It felt that the perverse cultivator didn’t respect it at all, so it huffed into his pocket, curled up and didn’t want to talk.

Unless the perverse Cultivator buys it three…

no, two more bags of chips, and praises it five tis, it won’t forgive him!

“Did I say sothing wrong…”

After waiting for a long ti, Mousie didn’t get a response from Gary Smith.

Tossing and turning, it couldn’t help but get anxious, wondering if it was because it was too chatty and that made the perverse cultivator dislike it.

It felt a bit regretful, much regrettably for feeling so fond of talking incessantly.

The love-desiring mouse, yet so sensitive and lowly, perhaps all its courage had been spent on its journey searching for things.

Ka!

Just as Mousie was lost in thought, the familiar sound of an electric door opened.

It thought they’d arrived at the ho of the perverse cultivator, so it was ready to give Gary Smith a break.

However, what ca into sight was a familiar scene.

“This is…

the convenience store I frequented.

What is he trying to do?

Is he planning to hand over to them because he’s tired of bragging?”

Before Mousie could react, it saw Gary Smith walking up to the cashier, pointing to its head and saying:

“I’m sorry, my mouse ran out before and took a lot of things without permission.

We’ve caused trouble for you.

Can I ask how much was lost?

I’m willing to pay ten tis the compensation.”

As his words fell, Mousie, who was just about to run away, froze, looked up at Gary Smith’s side face, the emotions in its bright eyes suddenly beca turbulent, filled with indescribable emotions.

“Ah…

I’m sorry, I just started working here a few days ago, I’m not quite sure.

Let call the manager, manager please co over…”

The cashier was a young woman who blushed instantly when she saw Gary Smith’s extrely charming appearance.

She was also sowhat flustered for a while and couldn’t figure out what was happening.

She stuttered and called the manager over.

After understanding the circumstances, the store manager, despite being a bit taken aback to learn that it was the sa little mouse that had been stealing snacks all along, didn’t reprimand harshly, expressing that he too couldn’t rember the exact amount stolen.

To him, a compensation of three hundred would do just fine.

Gary Smith nodded in agreent, leaving three thousand instead, and then proceeded to visit all the convenience stores that Mousie had frequented, eventually paying more than five thousand in total.

Although the total value of all items was perhaps only a few hundred, he felt that it was a aningful act.

By the ti he sorted everything out, it was already half-past eight.

With a bag of snacks in hand, he trod the path ho.

Throughout the whole process, Mousie was silent, just staring blankly at his profile, as if trying to etch it in its mory forever.

He was willing to show tolerance towards it, treat it as a part of his family, apologize for the wrongs it had done, and help it step out of its gloomy past…

At so unknown point in ti, the image of Gary Smith had begun to coincide with the warm embrace that Mousie had conjured up in its mind.

It seed like its waiting had truly been rewarded!

Gary Smith gently patted Mousie’s head, communicating volus without words.

“Wuu wuu wuu, you weird cultivator, who asked you to do this?

What a waste of money!

In the future…

in the future, Mousie will pay you back…”

Mousie retreated into its pocket, its body spasming slightly.

Even though it tried hard to mask its tears with faux nonchalance, its attachnt was still palpable.

Gary Smith grinned.

The last barrier between him and Mousie was finally gone.

They, however, were oblivious to the silhouette quietly watching from atop a white tower, its gaze focused on him – or rather, everything within the city; detached and calm, seeming out of place, as if from a different era.

After calming Little Hamster down, Gary Smith addressed Little Spider in his pocket, who was regaining its strength by eating Dream Fragnts:

“Thank you for your hard work!”

The production of a kilo of spider silk, although not physically straining, was still no small feat.

“Ying Ying!”

Little Spider vigorously shook its head, indicating that it didn’t find it hard at all.

Its face lit up with a smile, as captivating as blossoming flowers.

In its view, being able to spin silk to earn money and support the family, thereby easing its master’s stress, was a joyful experience.

Inside its Void Treasure Chest was a second Mousie doll made out of spider silk.

A family, always together!

At this mont, the dim light of the street lamps blurred their vision, and a mild cool breeze brushing against their cheeks brought a sense of tranquility and gentleness.

Looking up at the starry sky, Gary Smith reached out his hand as if grabbing at sothing, and earnestly declared:

“From now on, we will enjoy the evening breeze together every day and experience the view from the stars.

Along this road, no one is allowed to fall behind!”

“Ying!”

⸜(๑’ᵕ’๑)⸝⋆*

Little Spider raised its hand, promising to do its best!

Mousie, snapping back to its senses, retorted with a squeak:

“Squeak!”

Don’t underestimate Mousie, it’s you guys who need to buck up!

A simple promise, filled with beautiful hopes.

Gary Smith was very happy, with an added family mber, added liveliness, and also…

added responsibility!

Next, it was ti to make the Skill Secret Food…
