Chapter 700: Chapter 67: The Deprived Elental Origin
Divine Country Space was shrouded in night. After a period of recovery, what had been a barren and lifeless Divine Country was now brimming with life.

However, judging by the demise of the Western gods, this hypothesis obviously wasn’t valid.
Thinking of this, Shao Zifeng couldn’t help but ask, “Old Dragon, what actually happened back then?”
“Do you really want to know?” Ice Chi lowered his head. Under the dim light of the Holy Light, Shao Zifeng saw His face clearly for the first ti.
Well, how should I describe His appearance?

Shao Zifeng nodded. He vaguely felt that Lingling’s changes over the years were related to the so-called Source ssenger, but no matter how he asked, it would not tell him, as though it was being cautious about sothing.

Shao Zifeng hesitated for a mont, then waved his hand to open a Space Rift.
From within the Space Rift, starlight blossod, and shrouded in the starlight, Lingling slowly erged before them.
After transforming into a Star Origin Envoy, Lingling was perpetually enveloped in starlight, its tall figure barely visible through the shimr. Behind it, several translucent Star Crystals rotated, much like planets orbiting a star.
Its cool eyes opened, warily surveying the surroundings. Upon realizing it was in the Divine Country, it relaxed significantly.
Ice Chi said with so astonishnt, “It’s a rare Star Origin Envoy…”
Hearing His voice, Lingling turned to look. The oppressive aura emanating from Ice Chi made it sowhat uneasy, speeding up the rotation of the Star Crystals behind it.
Shao Zifeng quickly soothed, “Lingling, this being is a Guardian Spirit of the Great Xia; He just wants to look at you. Don’t be nervous.”
On hearing this, Lingling obediently nodded. The Star Crystals on its back stabilized.
Ice Chi closely examined Lingling, then looked up at the dazzling starry sky. After a mont, he spoke in a deep voice, “You really didn’t deceive . Your Star Origin Envoy is different from the others.”
To His words, Shao Zifeng felt no surprise. Having kept Lingling close since its infancy, it couldn’t possibly be related in the way Ice Chi had ntioned. The only surprise was how He could determine Lingling’s difference with just one glance.
When Shao Zifeng voiced his doubts, Ice Chi responded indirectly, “Do you know how many kinds of Elental Power there are in this world?”
“How many types…” Shao Zifeng pondered briefly, and after a mont, he shook his head slightly, “I don’t know, because many elental attributes have not yet been discovered, just like Lingling’s star elent is rarely known. But I think there are no fewer than ten common ones, right?”
“Ten types…” Ice Chi chuckled softly, his expression sowhat gloomy, “What if I told you that in ancient tis, our world had no fewer than thirty types of elental energy, would you believe ?”
Shao Zifeng nodded solemnly, “I do believe.”

“Never mind.” Ice Chi waved his large hand, “What I wanted to tell you is that this world originally had no fewer than thirty types of elental attributes, but it is precisely because of the appearance of those Source ssengers that now there are only a dozen left.”
Upon hearing this, Shao Zifeng glanced at Lingling, recalling the talent it acquired after becoming a Source ssenger.

Shao Zifeng looked at Lingling and couldn’t help but ask, “And then?”
“Then…” Ice Chi looked up at the World Tree, “Then we were beaten back step by step, every one of our sches they seed to foresee, even the lone ancestors would get slaughtered or sealed.”
“That period was truly the darkest days since the establishnt of our Dong Huang tribe, witnessing countless living beings being slaughtered, watching the world’s elental origins being stripped away, and yet we were powerless. I was also sealed under the sea after that.”
It was quiet in the Divine Country, only the rustling of the World Tree stirred by the wind.
Shao Zifeng looked at Ice Chi wanting to say sothing, opened his mouth but did not know how to start.
“You want to ask why we were only sealed, right?” Ice Chi seed to see through Shao Zifeng’s thoughts, “We are different from the Western gods, as we ourselves do not possess elental origins, and our power cos more from the worship of the masses.”
“Rather than going to the trouble of killing us, it’s simpler and more practical to just seal us.”
