Chapter 519: Chapter 519: Fire Phoenix Finally Took Action
Ye Fan was on the phone with Ye Juanjuan, unexpectedly learning sothing surprising from her. Ye Fan hadn’t anticipated any discoveries, but there was soone looking for him, soone he knew, and he keenly sensed that things weren’t as simple as they seed.
"What kind of woman is she, and what does she want?" Ye Fan asked calmly, maintaining his patience.
Ye Juanjuan was unaware of the incidents involving ngyao and the others. Although she vaguely sensed her brother’s worried tone, she didn’t overthink it. After a mont of contemplation, she said, "She’s a beautifully dressed woman. She claims to have known you since you were young, during your ti abroad, before you reunited with us. She says she knows your past and even worked with you."
Actually, the visitor to the Ye Juanjuan family was none other than Leng i. However, the words Leng i spoke were instructed by the woman in leather. Additionally, Leng i was aware of the circumstances of the Ye Juanjuan family and Ye Fan’s experiences and events from childhood.
Ye Juanjuan did not hide anything and, based on her mory and Ye Fan’s questions, told Ye Fan everything about Leng i. At this point, Ye Fan vaguely guessed Leng i’s identity and even realized who might have acted against ngyao and the others.
"She finally made a move. Despite my reluctance and hope against it, things happened as they were ant to." Ye Fan’s face no longer showed worry, only hesitation. Indeed, he was caught in a dilemma.
"Brother, is everything okay? I feel sothing’s off with you," Ye Juanjuan asked curiously.
"Nothing’s wrong," Ye Fan replied warmly, and after a few more words, he quickly ended the call.
During the brief ti Ye Fan spent on the phone, Qiu Wen and Shen Yaqing had contemplated much, following Ye Fan’s line of thought. If the enemy ca for profit, wouldn’t they have already made demands? Whether it was ransom for people or seizing assets, none of this had occurred. If it was revenge, why was the scene where ngyao and others were taken away so clean, showing no signs of a life-or-death struggle? Logically, the situation suggested a high likelihood of the ten Han Bihong won being injured.
None of this had happened, which made things appear sowhat eerie. Yes, eerie was the feeling.
If the enemy feared Ye Fan’s strength and sought to threaten him, they wouldn’t remain silent with no action taken thus far.
So, for what reason exactly did the enemy co?
The deeper they thought about it, the stranger it felt.
Shen Yaqing couldn’t help but mutter to herself, "If they aim to threaten Ye Fan, why let
go? If I encountered those black-clad people, I certainly wouldn’t escape and would end up as a hostage. Perhaps I’m just not important enough for the enemy to bother."
Qiu Wen also pondered deeply. It was peculiar that even Lu Xuehong faced no danger. Just as her master cared about Ye Juanjuan’s family, Lu Xuehong’s safety was her main concern. But clearly, her worry was unnecessary.
The enemy, having launched such an assault, wouldn’t have spared the easiest targets, instead attacking the toughest adversaries.
"Master, I figured it out. The enemy targeted ngyao and the others because of the ten Han Bihong won. It seems the enemy is showcasing their power, not ssing with Shen Yaqing or Lu Xuehong, but focusing on the most difficult targets instead. It directly demonstrates the enemy’s formidable strength. Since they’re not after profit, they must have undisclosed motives," Qiu Wen boldly speculated. "If Shen Yaqing and Lu Xuehong beca hostages, the master wouldn’t ignore it. But now, things are different. ngyao and the others being captured is clearly ant to intimidate us."
However, Qiu Wen couldn’t fathom the enemy’s true purpose.
"Did Ye Juanjuan provide any useful information?" Shen Yaqing asked.
"A woman ca looking for , apparently working with the enemy," Ye Fan replied.
"A woman? What kind of woman? Tell
more details, and I’ll see if I can track her," Zhang Lu said eagerly.
"Exactly, I’m a hacker. No matter how deeply she hides, I can uncover sothing," Shen Yaqing eagerly chid in, ready to roll up her sleeves and get to work.
Zhang Lu and Shen Yaqing operated on different fronts, one in the light and one in the shadows. If they investigated from both directions, even the smallest clues might lead to important revelations, potentially determining the enemy’s identity and whereabouts.
Not long ago, Zhang Lu received a secret ssage, almost an order, sent by Old Fu. The ssage instructed her to support Ye Fan at any cost.
Zhang Lu was very surprised to receive such information. She hadn’t even identified who the enemy was. Had the organization already figured it out?
How was that possible?
The disappearance of Chu ngyao and the others was a secret, with no information leaked whatsoever. Besides the enemy, only the four of them knew the detailed situation. There couldn’t be a fifth person aware of it.
The enemy wouldn’t admit to such acts. It wouldn’t serve any purpose. That wasn’t their aim.
Unless the enemy’s identity and background were significant, and coincidentally under organizational surveillance, allowing the organization to know what they were up to.
Otherwise, within Ye Gang’s territory, where even they found no traces, how could the organization learn everything so quickly?
The ssage Zhang Lu received was top secret, prompting her to mobilize whatever resources she could quietly. She wouldn’t disclose Fu’s instructions.
She also discreetly sent a ssage to Old Fu, seeking clarification on the enemy’s identity.
Unfortunately, Old Fu did not respond, simply replying with four words: "No more questions."
Even without Old Fu’s instruction, she would have helped without hesitation. But now, things were different. Given Old Fu’s stature, why issue such guidance?
Perhaps Old Fu had been closely monitoring Ye Fan and ngyao’s situation all along?
But how could that be?
What for?
Ye Fan and ngyao weren’t significant enough for that kind of attention.
Zhang Lu couldn’t wrap her head around it, so she chose not to overthink. Once the situation cald, she would seek out Old Fu for more details.
As for Leng i’s identity, Ye Fan didn’t elaborate. He had made up his mind and wouldn’t rely on Zhang Lu, Qiu Wen, or Shen Yaqing’s skills to resolve the matter.
This issue required his personal handling, as others wouldn’t be able to help. More people equaled more complications.
Because he knew who acted against ngyao and the others.
It was none other than Fire Phoenix.
