The four mbers of the Super Heroes Combo in the car initially did not notice their dead companion. After discovering the grueso scene, one of them dragged the companion's body into the car and continued the attack in their place.
Except for the driver, two people leaned out from the left and right, raising their guns to shoot.
The car driven by Ye Fan had its front hood caved in, and the windshield was shattered.
"Bust the tires, just make sure he can't catch up with us." The person driving the Super Heroes Combo shouted loudly.
While dodging, Ye Fan found the right mont and decisively flicked a second coin from his hand.
Instantly, he ended one person's life, taking advantage of this to position the car to the opposite side of the attacking person, temporarily preventing the shooter from effectively firing.
The lane was wide, but Ye Fan couldn't speed up past the attacking car. Doing so would expose the rear of his car to the Super Heroes Combo, putting him at a disadvantage. It wouldn't take long to shoot through the rear tires. To prevent this, he must eliminate the people inside the car before safely pursuing Habson's car.
"Damn it, his car is about to align with ours. Kill him." The driver yelled furiously.
anwhile, the other person decisively switched positions to find a more advantageous firing spot.
At this mont, Ye Fan launched two coins, which shot through the car window and killed the person about to change position to shoot.
This left only one enemy, the driver, still posing a threat.
Seeing his three companions die so miserably, he didn't hesitate at all. He imdiately turned the steering wheel furiously, ramming towards Ye Fan's car, which Ye Fan had anticipated. He accelerated and crashed head-on as well.
During the violent collision, tal gave out an unbearable sound, and dazzling sparks flew from the friction.
Ye Fan accurately managed the crash angle, causing the Super Heroes Combo's car to tilt and crash to the roadside and flip over amid the roaring engine noise.
In contrast, Ye Fan drove his slightly broken car without hesitation, pursuing Habson.
Habson hadn't gone far, and since it was the dead of night, there were very few cars on the road. It wasn't hard to find the target.
"How is it?" Habson anxiously inquired, "What's happening behind us?"
"They didn't stop Ye Fan, I'm afraid sothing bad happened." The Super Heroes Combo leader uneasily said. This bad thing, naturally, referred to failing to take down Ye Fan, who was already chasing behind them. They knew this well but were unwilling to admit the fact, still harboring hope that Ye Fan might just disappear.
"He's caught up, besides
being seriously injured; the other three are dead." The person who had crashed wasn't dead, and he reported what happened through his earpiece.
Habson's gaze darkened, and now it seed like they were on the verge of despair, making him very unwilling to accept.
At this point, there was no ti to care about the life or death of the seriously injured companion; escaping Ye Fan's grasp was most important.
Habson saw Ye Fan's car with its caved-in hood prominently visible; Ye Fan had caught up.
However, Ye Fan's car had suffered damage, and accelerating to catch up with Habson's car was obviously impossible. He could only follow, waiting for the right opportunity to strike, provided he didn't bypass Habson's group.
Seeing Ye Fan wasn't going too fast, Habson was slightly reassured.
In reality, the car's speed was already at its limit. As Habson was fleeing for his life, how could he not use the fastest speed possible? The fast or slow was only relative.
"Just a few more minutes and we'll be safe. During this ti, he can't catch up with us," Habson said, heart still racing.
This chase had gone on for several minutes with Ye Fan's car just about on the brink of catching up with Habson's.
Under Habson's direction, the car drove into an underground parking garage.
After getting out, Habson took the elevator directly to a basent boxing arena.
The boxing arena was cold and quiet due to no matches, with no idlers apart from so scattered guards.
Fortunately, Habson had already coordinated with the arena's owner; otherwise, getting into the boxing ring would have been much more troubleso.
"You are Habson, the person in charge of Taii Company in Ba Country?" A man in a suit greeted him, casting a calm glance at the panic-stricken Habson.
"Yes, I am Habson." Habson displayed an ingratiating smile. Even when facing a minor character, he was quite humble because he knew whose turf this was.
He politely said, "I called earlier; I want to seek protection from Fire Phoenix. I'm willing to pay a hefty price for my life."
"A hefty price?" The suited man sneered, saying, "You only care about your own life, bringing outsiders here and causing us trouble. If your paynt offer isn't satisfactory, you'll be dead before you know it."
"Rest assured, and please ask Fire Phoenix to take action. How can I not be sincere?" Habson smiled obsequiously.
In Ba Country, Habson was quite powerful, but now he had no confidence left, only showing submissiveness.
The three Super Heroes Combo leaders, seeing Habson's deanor and the other's arrogance, felt particularly uncomfortable, having been warned by Habson earlier to not act arrogantly. Yet, they understood the concept of 'when under a roof, you must bow your head.'
"I must remind you, Okamura Jiro and the Divine Wind Squad are likely all dead, and my Super Heroes Combo mbers have suffered heavily. It would be best for Fire Phoenix to be cautious to avoid trouble," Habson advised kindly.
This remark made the suited man frown. He was well aware of the Divine Wind Squad and the Super Heroes Combo, though they were rely minor players within Taii Company and Wanpu Company. In Ba Country, they were nearly invincible.
"Who exactly did he provoke?" the suited man pondered. "No wonder he sought protection from Fire Phoenix; I should've realized it must be trouble they couldn't handle. Otherwise, he wouldn't have co to Fire Phoenix."
Thinking of Fire Phoenix's power, the suited man's frown smoothed out.
At this mont, Fire Phoenix walked gracefully, her stunning figure exuding enchanting allure.
