Chapter 381: Chapter 381: Du Xueqi Goes Missing
Ye Fan was on the top of the mansion, switching between battlefields, and when he found the right opportunity, he fired devastating bullets with his gun.
Every ti a bullet was fired, it would destroy the moving target below it.
Although Ye Fan’s presence attracted special attention from the tanks on the ground, the mansion was large, and the tanks were distributed around the periter, making it difficult to pinpoint his exact location. Thus, he launched a thunderous assault in the gaps.
"Boom boom boom!" The sound of exploding vehicles was accompanied by the soldiers’ shrill screams as the waves of fire roared around them.
The tanks were paralyzed on the ground amid the violent screeching of tal.
In terms of combat power, Ye Fan’s might alone was enough to intimidate many people.
On the ground, Du Xueqi and the other four won watched with their hearts pounding. From the scene of destruction, they could clearly judge how fast Ye Fan’s attack speed was and how terrifying his precision.
"Our benefactor is really terrifying." The five won were filled with amazent as they looked up at the top of the mansion.
Lieutenant Zia was furious, repeatedly raging as he watched one tank and vehicle after another get destroyed. His heart clenched from ti to ti; these were his foundation to establish himself in Ba Country. Seeing such relentless losses, he felt as if he could die.
"We can definitely kill them, we can definitely kill."
"After killing them, all these losses can be fully compensated."
Lieutenant Zia could only admonish himself in this way. His heart was bleeding, but at this point, he found himself trapped with no retreat. He was firmly resolved—no matter the cost, to kill the targets. That way, regardless of the magnitude of the losses, they could be compensated. If he were to flee in panic like this, the losses at hand would be massive.
More importantly, the battle’s outco would surely expose the news of Ye Fan and Chu ngyao being in the mansion. By then, with the two million US Dollar bounty, who knew who would rush in to claim it, and there would be nothing left for him.
Therefore, no matter what, he had to complete this mission of killing the targets, sparing no expense.
At the sa ti, Lieutenant Zia felt utterly conflicted. The strength of Ye Fan and his group instilled a deep-seated fear in him.
Since they had provoked such formidable entities, he felt he had to eliminate them. Otherwise, disaster would befall him.
About ten minutes later, all the tanks and vehicles on Lieutenant Zia’s side were destroyed. Without mobile cover, the soldiers’ assault faced imnse obstacles. However, they had achieved so results; the soldiers had already approached the mansion. After leaving a large number of corpses behind, all the heavy firepower controlled by Du Xueqi and the other won was lost, forcing the five won to retreat and block near the mansion.
Before Du Xueqi, soldiers were charging, surging from all directions.
"Ratatat!" Bullets spewed out from the soldiers’ guns as well as from Du Xueqi’s gun.
As bullets flew, soldiers fell one by one, yet Du Xueqi found herself in unprecedented crisis. If she could get close to the soldiers, she would surely be able to claim their lives with her combat prowess. But now, with those dense bullets, approaching the advancing soldiers was impossible for Du Xueqi.
Having lost so many comrades, the soldiers understood the trendous strength of their opponents. Being well-trained, they naturally gave no respite to the enemy, launching continuous attacks.
Du Xueqi moved swiftly, seeking advantageous cover to launch attacks.
"Boom!" A grenade exploded next to Du Xueqi. She had just switched to a new hiding spot when she suffered such an onslaught.
Du Xueqi’s body was thrown into the air, blood splattering from her.
The soldiers sward forward, closing in to encircle Du Xueqi.
The other four won also encountered varying degrees of crisis.
Ye Fan descended from the mansion top, issuing orders to the five won, saying, "Get back into the mansion."
Quickly, the four won broke away from the enemy and returned to the mansion, but Du Xueqi was nowhere to be seen.
"Where’s Du Xueqi?" Ye Fan asked the four won with concern.
"Didn’t see her. There are only five of us trying to fend off enemies coming from all directions. We simply have no ti to care for each other and couldn’t see anyone else." The four won, their expressions heavy, said with slight unease.
They each fought individually, unable to see each other, much less provide mutual fire support.
Thus, with Du Xueqi not here, they truly had no information about her.
After repeatedly trying to contact Du Xueqi through the earpiece without any response, a somber look appeared in Ye Fan and the four won’s eyes. An ominous thought surfaced in their minds—could it be that sothing happened to Du Xueqi? Otherwise, she would have surely responded. If she were in great danger, they would certainly undertake a rescue.
But now, with no news of Du Xueqi whatsoever, how could they not worry?
"She must have encountered trouble; she won’t be hard," one woman said gravely, though there was a trace of unease in her eyes, which she concealed well.
If sothing really happened to Du Xueqi, they would not accept the grim reality laid before them.
If any of the five won could play a ga of chase and kill with these outside soldiers, the survivor would surely be one of the five. With their agility and skills, slaughtering these soldiers was trivial. But now, they had to preserve the mansion as much as possible, ensuring that ngyao and Tie Zhongshi’s family were not exposed to the enemy’s aim, necessitating a forced counterattack. Consequently, their advantage was significantly diminished, and the danger increased.
"What should we do now?" one woman eagerly asked, wanting to go out to see what was going on.
"If she’s dead, we find the body; if alive, we find her person. Benefactor, I’ll go outside to check it out," another woman, rather rationally, said.
"You four, guard the mansion’s entrance. Don’t let the enemies in. I’ll go outside to find Du Xueqi and try to eliminate the enemies to relieve your pressure." Ye Fan voiced unquestionably, "Rember, without my order, don’t venture out of the mansion hastily."
"But benefactor, it’s very dangerous outside. Let us do such risky work." one woman decisively said.
"No need. For , these ants outside can’t harm
at all." Ye Fan confidently assured them.
With that, Ye Fan, alone, charged toward the exterior of the mansion.
The four won exchanged glances, then resolutely executed Ye Fan’s order, focusing all firepower on the area outside the mansion’s entrance.
