Chapter 1211: Chapter 1211: Reaping What One Sows

The forces under Fire Phoenix and the Butcher’s command gathered together entirely, but instead of approaching the Sky Net Organization, they indulged in a lively drinking session with Ye Fan, which took quite a bit of ti.

Regarding this, none of Ye Fan, the Butcher, Fire Phoenix, or anyone else had any grievances.

On the contrary, it seed intentional, as they waited for Sky Net to gather all the forces it could muster under its command.

The idea of Ye Fan, Fire Phoenix, and the Butcher was bold and direct: they waited for Sky Net to assemble its forces, then planned to wipe out the remaining powers of Sky Net in one move, seizing the opportunity to annihilate all of Sky Net’s forces.

The situation for Sky Net was extrely dire now; the annihilation of the Ghost Team and several major Hunting Teams had dealt Sky Net a heavy blow.

Sky Net was no longer in a position to compete for dominance in the Underworld, the only thought remaining was self-preservation.

Several elders gathered Hunting Team One, Eleven, Twelve, Fourteen, Fifteen, Sixteen, and Seventeen around them to enhance their safety and ensure self-preservation.

The strength of these seven Hunting Teams was significant. Sky Net had established a total of seventeen Hunting Teams, and with the previous losses including Hunting Team Nine, they were almost all gone. Hunting Teams Two, Three, Four, Five, Six, Seven, Eight, Nine, Ten, and Thirteen were a thing of the past.

Out of the seventeen Hunting Teams, ten had been destroyed, leaving only seven surviving.

The strength of the Hunting Teams was ranked by the order in which they were established; the earlier the number, the stronger the team.

In order to maximize coordination with the Third Elder and Fourth Elder and coerce Ye Fan into annihilating Deceitful Fox, Fire Phoenix, and the Butcher, Sky Net had dispatched its most powerful Hunting Teams to Ye Fan’s side, along with the Ghost Team, intending under Ye Fan’s leadership to destroy Fire Phoenix and the Butcher at minimal cost, but things did not go as planned.

Deceitful Fox was rightfully dead, but the subsequent actions were astonishing to Sky Net because Ye Fan directed and acted out the destruction of the Ghost Team and several major Hunting Teams himself, crippling Sky Net in one fell swoop.

At Sky Net Headquarters, the gathering of elders had a lingering cloud hanging over their faces.

"The existing seven Hunting Teams have gathered, right around our periter. I reckon that our safety now isn’t a problem at all, enough to handle all enemies," said the Fourteenth Elder. "From the current situation, Ye Fan has probably returned to Huaxia. After heavily damaging Sky Net, it’s only natural for Ye Fan to retreat and return to Huaxia."

"What else would Ye Fan do if not return to Huaxia? Is he deluded enough to intend harm upon us? Ridiculous. It’s not that I’m underestimating the Terminator, but thinking he could provoke the heavily guarded Sky Net Headquarters alone is nothing short of seeking death," said the Eighth Elder. "If he dares to co, this will certainly be his final resting place."

Most of the elders unanimously believed that Ye Fan had already returned to Huaxia; this was the logical understanding they should have.

Ye Fan couldn’t possibly co to Sky Net Headquarters alone and cause trouble. If he did co, he’d be seeking death — this was the elders’ unanimous opinion. After all, the overall strength of Sky Net Headquarters was still formidable.

As the private relationship among Ye Fan, Fire Phoenix, and the Butcher was unknown to the outside world, neither the Underworld nor Sky Net could have known about the trap Ye Fan and his allies were setting.

"Has the intelligence departnt gathered any useful information?" inquired the Second Elder.

"Our forces have been drastically reduced, rapidly shrinking, but intelligence operations are still running smoothly," said the Seventh Elder, picking up the conversation. "After the incidents with the Third Elder and others, tracking Ye Fan beca our top priority, but so far, no traces of Ye Fan have been found. We cannot rule out the possibility that Ye Fan is still near the Blood Wolf Base or that he quietly infiltrated Huaxia. After all, he is the Terminator and is capable of evading our sight."

"Terminator, oh Terminator, you’ve beco a major thorn in our side, depriving us of peace," the Grand Elder lanted. "Our killing moves against the Terminator haven’t even begun, yet we’ve been so disturbed by the Terminator that we have no peace. In the end, this double-edged sword has hurt only ourselves."

"However, one thing we can be reassured about is that the headquarters is very safe. Ye Fan is unlikely to seek trouble with us anymore. At this point, we and Ye Fan can only remain at peace. We no longer have the confidence to provoke Ye Fan again, and Ye Fan lacks the strength to single-handedly challenge us. So, the only outco is to keep our hatred buried, and should we et or gain the upper hand in the future, then we will strike fiercely. For now, however, we both shall remain at peace," said the Second Elder.

"The urgent matter now is to guard against other enemies. Ye Fan can be disregarded; we need to be especially wary of forces that can strike a blow against us. The Underworld doesn’t yet know about the tragedy of the Ghost Team and the Third Elder’s demise, but it will soon find out. At that ti, we will face enemies from all sides."

When Sky Net was strong, it made many enemies; this was unavoidable during their brutal rise to power. If those remaining forces plan to take advantage of our weakness to eliminate us, Sky Net’s days will not be promising.

So, to effectively guard against possible enemy invasions, preemptive precautions are especially necessary.

Sky Net considered other enemies, but overlooked Ye Fan, their greatest enemy.

The elders could never have dread that Ye Fan, Fire Phoenix, and the Butcher were of one mind, and they would be the greatest force in the overthrow of Sky Net.

"The coming storm looms heavily. If it weren’t for the sudden annihilation of the Ghost Team and several major Hunting Teams, we wouldn’t be so on edge now," the Seventh Elder regretted deeply.

This pain perated the hearts of the elders, deeply piercing.

"In my view, we never should have targeted the Terminator. That was the Terminator, after all, for whom the God Organization withdrew from the Underworld stage and whom Deceitful Fox hid from in fear. For us to provoke him voluntarily was really courting death," laughed one elder bitterly. "We were too arrogant, not taking anyone seriously, and in the end, it was classic self-inflicted pain, moving the stone to only smash our own feet."
