Chapter 1194: Chapter 1194: An Irreplaceable Position
In front of the Blood Wolf Base, Ye Fan, the Third Elder, and the Fourth Elder appeared once more, with the Ghost Squad and the Hunting Team all gathered, fixing their murderous intent on Fire Phoenix.
"Mr. Ye, in your opinion, how should we attack the Blood Wolf Base?" the Third Elder inquired, "Fire Phoenix has fortified the base to be virtually impregnable, easy to defend and difficult to attack. If we attack rashly, the losses will be heavy, especially with the Shadow Guard being so fearso. Without a foolproof plan, our losses would be unbearable."
"You ask
this, but I have no solution. When two armies face off, what other strategy is there besides direct combat?" Ye Fan stared at the Third Elder. "Do I have so divine ability that can annihilate everyone inside the base in one fell swoop?"
"Mr. Ye, you know that’s not what I ant," the Third Elder said, looking serious.
"If that’s not what you an, then what do you an?" Ye Fan pressed.
"I an, how can we eliminate the enemy at the smallest cost and preserve our strength?" the Third Elder responded.
"Your words make no sense. The Blood Wolf Base is not made of clay, and even if it were, it would take so effort to eliminate the enemies. Do you think the enemy will just die without us lifting a finger? You’ve got to be dreaming, always thinking of easy solutions," Ye Fan retorted, completely dissatisfied with the Third Elder repeatedly spouting nonsensical ideas.
"Mr. Ye, do you think it’s possible," the Third Elder suggested, regaining his composure, "to divide the enemies inside the base and rely on overwhelming force to gradually wear them down? This way, we can minimize unnecessary losses. What do you think?"
"Third Elder, you’ve finally decided to use your brain. Thinking more doesn’t hurt." Ye Fan shifted his tone to sarcasm, "Since you’re so smart and farsighted, why don’t you co up with so ideas? How can we force enemies to retreat into different corners and then use our superior numbers to wipe them out? I believe with your wisdom, you can definitely figure this out."
"Mr. Ye, you flatter . Everything still depends on you. Such brilliant ideas can only co from you. People like
can’t possibly think of such clever strategies," the Third Elder replied with a polite smile.
"Flatter? You’re thinking too highly of yourself. Are you brainless, constantly thinking of unrealistic things? You’re too naive, do you know that? How could Sky Net have an elder like you? Why aren’t you too dumb to function," Ye Fan remarked bluntly, "You need to see the reality. When two armies confront, besides bravery and combat, what other solutions are there? You think you can just wish for the enemies to die easily, while you don’t have to fight hard. Even if pies fall from the sky, you have to pick them up yourself. Otherwise, such good fortune won’t just co to you."
He continued, "You acknowledge you are crude, right? Since you have this self-awareness, it’s just perfect. You should understand, if you can’t think of a good plan, don’t stir up trouble here, spouting useless nonsense."
Ye Fan no longer cared about any considerations. He was extrely dissatisfied with the Third Elder’s baseless suggestions.
"Ye Fan, stop being arrogant. You need to understand your current identity and situation. How dare you treat
this way? Have you thought about the consequences?" the Third Elder protested angrily, "I think this way also to minimize losses. Am I wrong?"
The Third Elder wanted to maximize Ye Fan’s capabilities and minimize Sky Net’s losses during the battle.
But Ye Fan’s reaction was too intense and showed no good grace, being so brazen.
"You’re not wrong; you’re just too stupid," Ye Fan said coldly.
"You’d better restrain yourself and not be too reckless," the Third Elder said, shaking with anger.
"I advise you to know your place, or else, killing you would just be that," Ye Fan threatened.
The Third Elder was filled with rage yet dared not express it or utter a single word. He was genuinely afraid that Ye Fan, with his disregard, would do anything, putting his life at risk.
Though he opposed Ye Fan, he knew how far not to go, not daring to cross the line, as it would result in disaster.
"Third Elder, hold your tongue. Our battle with Fire Phoenix has no shortcut other than a fight to the death. What kind of person is Fire Phoenix, backed by the Shadow Guard, how can we split their forces to consu and kill them? Would Fire Phoenix give us such an opportunity?" the Fourth Elder spoke up, "If it were true, Fire Phoenix wouldn’t be worth our attention. Going forward, in our battle with Fire Phoenix, the might of our Ghost Squad and Hunting Team will be seen. Defeating Fire Phoenix is inevitable, and necessary losses are unavoidable."
The Fourth Elder saw the issue clearly and realistically: confronting Fire Phoenix directly requires sacrifice.
Following the Third Elder’s thinking is not realistic, especially when the enemy is so formidable. To think the enemy is easy to eliminate is utterly laughable. Once the battle starts, anything can happen, and nobody can predict the outco.
"If you want to reduce Sky Net’s losses, there might be a way," Ye Fan stated.
The Third Elder looked over, thinking: Wasn’t there no way? So now you’ve changed your mind; I’m curious to see what you co up with.
"What way?" the Fourth Elder asked eagerly.
"I lead a team into the base. I can maximize enemy elimination and reduce Sky Net’s losses. This should be what the Third Elder hopes to see." Ye Fan replied coolly.
"Mr. Ye, please don’t speak like that. The Blood Wolf Base’s network still needs you to overco. The attack on the base needs you to oversee and command. You’re indispensable; how can you rush to the frontline?" the Fourth Elder hurriedly said.
"Mr. Ye, you cannot lead the charge; more important roles need you," the Third Elder said, "The laser area within the base is a destructive area, and you need to personally oversee and conquer it; your role is irreplaceable."
"If Sky Net can manage, you could replace
with soone else, so I can fight on the frontline and minimize casualties," Ye Fan said lightly.
"Mr. Ye, you’re joking. Anyone else can go, but not you," the Fourth Elder said respectfully.
