Ye Fan and ngyao naturally nodded in agreent, actively avoiding the topic.
After breakfast, Lu Xiangxiang asked, "ngyao, what are you up to today?"
"What else can I do but work?" ngyao was startled, finding Lu Xiangxiang’s question unexpected and redundant, she said softly, "Isn’t this a question you already know the answer to? If I don’t go to work, what else would I do?"
"Don’t go to work, look, it’s not easy for

Going on a trip, Ye Fan and ngyao were also happy to accept and look forward to it; accompanying Lu Xiangxiang would be quite nice too.
After tidying up, the three of them left the villa and headed for their destination.
Over an hour later, Zhang Lu arrived at the villa.
Du Xueqi went up to greet her politely, "Officer Zhang, both the benefactor and the president have gone on a mountain and water tour. You ca to find them, right? Is there anything you need?"
"What? Ye Fan and ngyao have gone on an outing to climb a mountain?" Zhang Lu exclaid, feeling slightly disappointed, "They really can’t stay idle. I hurried over but still couldn’t see them. I thought they were here."
She doesn’t visit without reason, and it turns out to be a wasted trip.
"If it’s urgent, you can call them. If it’s not important, I can pass on the ssage for you." Du Xueqi said.
"No need, let them enjoy. I won’t disturb them; I’ll wait until they return." Zhang Lu said indifferently.
Du Xueqi was naturally pleased that Zhang Lu sensibly didn’t bother Ye Fan and the others.
At the foot of Longxing Mountain, Ye Fan, ngyao, and Lu Xiangxiang arrived by car.
This was a canyon, with tall and dense forests on both sides showcasing a grand majestic aura.
A stream andered through the canyon, crystal clear, with fish faintly visible.
It was around nine o’clock now, and there weren’t many people climbing.
A few scattered solo or small groups of tourists were climbing, not too sparse but not many either.
Ye Fan and the other two carried water and food, and after buying tickets, they began their climb.
Climbing is both a physical and an endurance activity.
The path was secluded, with stone steps laid down, and the chirping of birds was lodious and pleasant.
Since it’s a tourist spot, it has naturally been developed by humans.
Midway up the mountain, there were recreational areas and small shops for eating and drinking. Such developnts make one think, is it good or bad?
Nature has been damaged to so extent; if nature had a consciousness, would it forbid human intrusion?
After half an hour, Lu Xiangxiang was already panting and catching her breath, hands on her hips, sighing, "Climbing is invigorating. The cool air can cleanse one’s soul, making one feel utterly relaxed and carefree."
"Don’t you also feel a sense of oppression while being at ease? Although we’re climbing this mountain, how magnificent and towering it is, one always feels small in comparison." ngyao gazed at the woods as she spoke.
"Why worry so much? As long as we’re having fun, that’s what matters." Lu Xiangxiang said nonchalantly.
"Can it really be enjoyable? In the climbing crowd, few people manage to reach the summit. Most grow more discouraged during the climb and give up. Mountains are majestic and insurmountable to people; truly conquering it grants a soul-deep sense of achievent, the feeling of having conquered the mountain. Only then can one relish the exhilaration and grandeur of standing on the pinnacle, overlooking all the cowering mountains. Giving up halfway results in a sense of defeat, having to admit an inability to conquer and being vanquished by the mountain instead of it being just an insensate entity. Even if one is unaware, there lingers a presence of failure." Ye Fan insightfully lectured.
"Enough already, talking as if you’re giving
a philosophy lesson?" Lu Xiangxiang pouted.
One hour, two hours... four hours passed.
Ye Fan and the others had conquered two peaks, each peak connected to another mountainous range, revealing yet another summit before their eyes.
Along the way, there were temples beside the mountain trails, so had calligraphy and paintings for sale.
There were also so antique-like objects for people to admire.
The higher they climbed, the fewer tourists there were.
Ye Fan, ngyao, and Lu Xiangxiang sat on the stone steps to drink water and rest; Lu Xiangxiang leaned against the railing, completely exhausted and drenched in sweat.
ngyao was also covered in fragrant sweat but was not as exhausted as Lu Xiangxiang.
"I’m completely worn out; my legs won’t obey
anymore." Lu Xiangxiang exclaid, her voice full of fatigue.
"Hang in there, there’s just a little way left until we reach the summit." ngyao encouraged.
"You suggested the climb, if you want to give up, then wait here. ngyao and I won’t wait for you; we’re going to sit at the summit." Ye Fan said calmly.
"Wait for . Let
catch my breath, and I’ll climb further. If you two want to ditch
to have a wild tryst, I’m not okay with it. I need to personally supervise you, not give you any chance to misbehave." Lu Xiangxiang teased with a playful grin.
