“There’s enough food to last for a while longer. There are several boxes of fruit in the warehouse… let’s eat the perishable one’s first and save those that store well.”

On the second floor of a fruit store on the side of the Kechuang Building, the curtains were slightly drawn, letting in only a sliver of sunlight.

A thin man wearing glasses adjusted them and cautiously surveyed his surroundings, pondering the distant future.

This fruit store wasn’t his.

During the outbreak of the disaster, he had just finished his night shift and was heading downstairs.

His na was ng Xunpeng, an assistant manager at Wanxiang International. Despite his title, he had a supervisor above him, restricting his every move.

Just after finishing his shift, he witnessed a horrifying scene.

The security guard at the entrance suddenly collapsed and convulsed, and a cry ca from his colleague behind him.

The next second, chaos erupted.

In the midst of the chaos, ng Xunpeng fled hysterically. When he almost got to the fruit store entrance, he was tackled by a zombie. Just when he was about to despair, the fruit store owner, old Liu, courageously pushed the zombie aside, saving ng Xunpeng’s life.

That zombie then attacked Old Liu, but when Old Liu called for ng Xunpeng’s help, he heartlessly shut the store’s door, piled up countless pieces of furniture to block it, and survived till now.

During this period, many survivors from the building or nearby hiding places tried to co here and share the resources.

But ng Xunpeng killed them one by one.

He was very selective.

If it was a small group of three to five, he would make so noise on purpose to attract zombies to attack the group, annihilating them.

If there was only one person, he would feign hospitality and kill them when they least expected it.

To ng Xunpeng, the resources here were his hope for survival; he wouldn’t let anyone take them away!

As for breaking the law?

Ha, when rescue cos, how would they have any evidence to accuse him of murder? He had already fed the bodies to the zombies!

Furthermore…

ng Xunpeng had started to relish the thrill of killing!

Thinking of this, ng Xunpeng licked his lips, a glint of pleasure flashing in his eyes.

In this oppressive apocalyptic era, ng Xunpeng naturally needed sothing to satisfy his psyche.

He even began to look forward to the possibility of survivors coming to him seeking help.

Thinking of this, ng Xunpeng eyed the Kechuang Building.

In recent days, he had often heard noises from the building, indicating survivors were holed up there.

This gave ng Xunpeng a sense of anticipation. He even brought a chair to watch the show, eager to see so action.

He believed that today’s activity from the survivors was most likely an attempt to escape the Kechuang Building.

This ant he’d get a good show.

While waiting for the action to unfold, he suddenly saw the main entrance of the Kechuang Building being pushed open, and two shaky figures erged.

“Stupid, coming out through the main entrance. You deserve to die!”

Seeing this, ng Xunpeng sat up straight and sneered contemptuously, humming a little tune as he anticipated the grueso scene to co.

He had already envisioned the surrounding zombies swarming and tearing the two into pieces.

However, as soon as the two erged, the surrounding zombies didn’t swarm; they didn’t even pay attention to the two figures, continuing to wander the streets.

“Huh?”

ng Xunpeng was stunned. He couldn’t believe his eyes, rubbing them and looking again, realizing that what he saw was no illusion.

What is going on?!

Faced with this scene, ng Xunpeng was baffled. He quickly noticed that the two figures were different.

They were carrying two bodies, walking step by step as if they were going to dispose of them far away.

How did they do it? Could it be that they sared themselves with zombie blood, making the other zombies mistake them for one?

This piqued ng Xunpeng’s curiosity. He couldn’t resist taking out his phone and using the cara’s zoom function.

What he saw made him gasp.

One of the two figures had half their face gnawed off, hanging grotesquely, while the other had a gaping hole in their head, yet they moved without the slightest sign of discomfort.

These weren’t humans… they were zombies!

These zombies were carrying corpses!

In an instant, ng Xunpeng felt a chill run down his spine.

He glanced at the Kechuang Building with terror.

Just then, a loud ‘boom’ startled ng Xunpeng. He quickly looked to see several zombies plumting from the twelfth floor, smashing into pieces, one after another!

“What the heck?!”

Stunned, ng Xunpeng looked repeatedly towards the twelfth floor.

But all he saw was a blood-soaked figure, throwing zombies one by one out of the window.

Mumbling to himself.

ng Xunpeng’s hair stood on end, feeling a prickling sensation down his back!

“What the hell is this?! What on earth is happening in that building?!”

As ng Xunpeng was in a daze, he suddenly saw another figure appear at the end of the road.

It was pulling what looked like a snack cart, steadily moving forward.

A zombie saw the snack cart and instinctively growled, but upon realizing the figure was not human, it chose to ignore it.

However, the figure pulling the cart didn’t ignore the zombie that growled at it. Instead, it swung a hand and slapped the zombie’s head clean off.

The attack was brutally gory.

Witnessing this, ng Xunpeng’s eyelid twitches violently, and his resolve begins to crumble.

“What the heck is this now? What’s happening?! This isn’t the type of zombie apocalypse I imagined!”

“You don’t have money either? No worries, I’ll give you a free ride on the freefall machine!”

Finishing rifling through a zombie’s pockets, ng Xu politely grabbed it by the collar and casually tossed it out of the building.

Throwing objects from high places is illegal.

But ng Xu wasn’t throwing objects—he was throwing zombies.

So it’s not illegal. He’s always been committed to abiding by the law.

Upon reaching the twelfth floor, ng Xu employed a strategy from the Art of War.

One word: Attack.

Ard with a fire axe, ng Xu hacked his way from the east end of the twelfth floor to the west end, slaughtering for a full three minutes without blinking once.

Quick couldn’t begin to describe it.

The zombies on the twelfth floor were particularly troubleso, with three of them having reached level 1. But to ng Xu at this point, level 1 and 0 were no different.

For zombies with money in their pockets, ng Xu courteously charged them and then sent them on a freefall ride.

For those without money… no worries, ng Xu still gave them a ride.

He aid to make them feel welcod and treated all zombies equally, regardless of their financial status.

However, the situation on the twelfth floor served as a wake-up call for ng Xu.

If the guards in the building turned into level 1 zombies due to their good physical condition, then the level 1 zombies he cleared on the twelfth floor were evidently different.

The zombie virus evolves!

“It seems, the building-clearing operation is urgent.”

ng Xu furrowed his brow, setting the action plan in his mind.

【Wanxiang International Co., ltd.’s night shift staff has been completely downsized, leaving Wanxiang International facing a personnel shortage crisis. You now have three options.】

【Option 1: Pursue relentlessly. Those who dare to challenge the Chairman’s authority must be punished! Continue the effort to completely eliminate Wanxiang International Co., ltd.!】

【Option 2: Gradually expand. To beco a leader in the service industry, you need a lot of salespeople. Choose to recruit the downsized staff from Wanxiang International, and you will obtain a complete communications service departnt.】

【Option 3: Collaborative success. As the saying goes, ‘To err is human.’ Having punished Wanxiang International slightly, you can now negotiate with their Chairman, wang Wuzhang, to achieve a win-win situation by incorporating Wanxiang International.】

Looking at the three options before him, ng Xu fell into deep thought.

He leaned over and looked down from the building, at the zombies he had thrown out, now lying in unrecognizable heaps.

Then he looked at options two and three.

“Can we even cooperate if they’re all dead?”

ng Xu calmly said, “You might as well just tell who you want to… well, target.”
