ng Xu didn’t say much, not even paying much attention to Aunt Zhao.
After all, to him, Aunt Zhao was even weaker than a zombie.
He focused on one thing.
How to complete his task.
“Resolve Aunt Zhao and her son’s trouble…”
ng Xu felt a bit of a headache, dodging the heavy axe swings from Aunt Zhao while pondering.
Suddenly, he had an idea.
After dodging another swing, he grabbed his baseball bat and struck Aunt Zhao’s arm forcefully. With a swift and powerful hit, her arm gave way, causing her to scream in pain and drop the axe, which clattered to the floor.
“Ah!”
Aunt Zhao felt her arm had almost snapped in half, groaning in pain. ng Xu took a deep breath and, without hesitation, swung the bat twice more, completely knocking the crazed woman to the ground. Then he picked up the heavy axe and swung it at the bedroom door.
“Bang!”
“Bang!”
“……”
Like a lumberjack, ng Xu hacked the bedroom door into a large hole in just a few swings.
Through the hole, he saw the small, scrawny child nad Xiaowei tightly bound to the bed with a chain.
Xiaowei constantly struggled and twisted, his eyes gray and lifeless, his face veined, and his body covered in blood. The bed was soaked in large pools of blood.
Surrounding the bed were neatly chopped pieces of flesh and three… heads with expressions of despair.
【Occupation: Zombie】
【Level: 0】
Seeing this scene, ng Xu froze for a mont.
The precision of the cuts made it clear that zombies couldn’t have done it.
Recognizing the faces of the three heads, ng Xu realized they were familiar. Two belonged to the couple from the floor below, and the third… seed to be the man of this household.
Despite his already slightly deranged ntality, ng Xu felt a surge of anger at the sight.
People committing unethical acts in an apocalypse might be excused as survival instincts.
But what Aunt Zhao had done was beyond that.
She had clearly lured neighbors in, killed them, and fed them to her mutated son to eat!
This was outrageous!
ng Xu felt increasingly angry. The once peaceful gaze he had now turned icy cold.
“Ahhhh—!!!”
The mad woman’s shrieks and the zombie’s growls filled the room, creating a cacophony of chaos.
ng Xu turned around with firm steps, approaching the crazed woman. He raised the heavy axe high.
“You, what are you going to do?!”
The mad woman’s eyes were wide with terror.
“Killing is illegal, illegal!”
“Hmph!”
ng Xu snorted coldly and slamd the heavy axe into the ground beside her, causing her to scream in horror.
He didn’t kill her.
After all, unless necessary, ng Xu didn’t want to resort to that.
Yet…
“If your relationship is so great, why chain up your son? Let
help you.”
ng Xu said it coldly, lifting the axe and quickly moving to the chained zombie. Without hesitation, he yanked the chain, pulled it free, and, in a few swift motions, released the zombie.
“Roar!”
The mont the zombie was free, it went ballistic, charging at ng Xu like a ferocious beast.
ng Xu didn’t coddle the berserk child; he swung the baseball bat and knocked the zombie flat on the ground.
However, ng Xu didn’t finish him off. Instead, he turned and walked out, glancing at the lying mad woman and the now-freed zombie. Taking a deep breath, he stood at the security door and cheerfully said to the terrified woman.
“Reuniting your family is sothing I should do. No need to thank ; after all, we are neighbors!”
“Well, you two can chat. I won’t disturb you anymore. Aunt Zhao, I’ll skip this al. See you tomorrow~”
With that, ng Xu turned and left, slamming the security door shut.
A chilling scream echoed.
Maybe they were crying in joy due to the reunion after so many days apart?
【Aunt Zhao’s wish is for her son to be well-fed, and Xiaowei’s wish is to break free from Aunt Zhao’s control and truly face her. You did very well! I am proud of you! However, human nature is fundantally evil! Aunt Zhao has developed a strong animosity towards you, decreasing her affection by 100 points. Doing good deeds is often t with resentnt. What a vile woman! I sympathize with you. Can this world get any better?!】
【Unfortunately, due to Aunt Zhao’s strong animosity, you did not receive the “Full-ti Mom” Career Recomndation Letter.】
【Task complete. Task Rewards: Points
2, Yuan
5000, Freely Allocatable Attribute Point
0.5 .】
Looking at his task rewards, ng Xu felt satisfied.
As for the full-ti mom’s recomndation letter?
Better not have it!
No to becoming a male mom!
“Allocate the points. Invest everything in Strength!”
ng Xu didn’t hesitate, allocating the 0.5 attribute points to strength again.
【Allocation successful. Current Strength: 15 points.】
“Too slow, too slow!”
ng Xu was dissatisfied, “How can the system be so inconvenient?! Give
a task that rewards 10,000 points so I can instantly beco a cosmic powerhouse capable of punching through planets!”
The system ignored ng Xu’s rantings.
Can this world get any better? Can’t zombies have so manners? It’s a new era; can’t zombies beco well-rounded, outstanding beings who excel in virtue, intellect, physical health, aesthetics, and labor?
“Roar!”
Just then, a clueless zombie lunged at him.
Filled with fury, ng Xu swung his baseball bat, delivering a combination of blows until he was drenched in blood. Only then did he feel at ease, his thoughts clearing completely.
However, he noticed a new problem after his thoughts cleared.
His clothes were dirty again.
“Damn it! It looks like changing clothes was pointless.”
ng Xu sighed deeply but didn’t bother to go back and change. Instead, he continued towards the neighborhood exit in his sportswear.
Since they were already dirty, he would wait until after handling the necessary paperwork to change.
The neighborhood was quiet, and few people were around.
ng Xu enjoyed this tranquil atmosphere. After leaving the neighborhood, he found so scattered zombies in the surrounding shops.
Seeing ng Xu, the zombies imdiately showed their full ‘enthusiasm.’
ng Xu waved back energetically, “Good morning to you too!”
Facing life with a smile—that’s the perfect life.
ng Xu now thought the system wasn’t so bad after all.

After greeting his ‘neighbors,’ ng Xu headed towards the Bureau of Comrce.
In a convenience store along the street, a girl in a blue cashier’s uniform watched ng Xu’s retreating figure with a shocked expression.
Behind her, a companion’s soft voice called, “Zhao Jing, what’s wrong? Is there sothing happening?”
“No, I just saw a lunatic. He had a baseball bat and no protection at all. He probably won’t last long… Sigh. When will this chaotic world ever end?”
