The Audi indeed successfully knocked the mutant zombie flying. The zombie was hurled three to four ters away, its body twisted and broken, lying on the ground covered in blood, looking even more grotesque and terrifying.

The Audi itself, however, had flipped over as if it had hit sothing substantial, attracting the attention of several roaming zombies nearby. They rushed over to ‘open the box’ and feasted on the wreckage.

The mutant zombie seed not to be incapacitated by the collision. Instead, it moved strangely toward the Audi, and ng Xu could see it attacking another regular zombie in front of him…

But ng Xu didn’t watch further, as the car moved away from the scene.

Zhang Lunping sat in the backseat, sowhat silent.

The situation outside was more complex than he had anticipated. If not for his good luck in eting ng Xu, he might not have lasted long before being killed outright or becoming one of those wandering undead himself.

The deeper they drove into the city, the more zombies appeared.

From a few scattered zombies on the roadside to the increasingly nurous undead deeper in, ng Xu realized that the process of handling his business might not go smoothly. After checking the navigation, he decided to park the car in a nearby residential area.

He decided not to continue driving. Considering the complex urban conditions, ng Xu had seen many abandoned vehicles on the roads, making driving difficult. Additionally, the large number of zombies in the city ant that the noise of the vehicle could attract unwanted trouble.

The chosen residential area was well-equipped with a supermarket, fruit shop, tea shop, and, importantly, a pharmacy nearby.

ng Xu parked the car stylishly and observed the zombies getting agitated by the sound on their side. He then turned to Zhang Lunping and asked, “Dear passenger, we’ve reached the destination. How would you like to pay—cash or scan?”

With that, ng Xu casually opened the QR code for paynt on his phone.

“Can I use a card?”

Zhang Lunping took a deep breath and shakily pulled out a bank card, handing it to ng Xu with a low voice.

“The password is six sixes, and there’s 30,000 yuan in it. Although I don’t know what you need money for at this ti, thank you.”

He sincerely thanked ng Xu.

Without ng Xu, he would have already beco a al for those zombies. He wouldn’t have made it to today.

“You’re welco.”

ng Xu didn’t say much more. He scanned the paynt code with his phone and took the bank card, suddenly eyeing Zhang Lunping suspiciously. “This isn’t an empty card, is it? If it is, you’re in big trouble.”

Zhang Lunping: …

“It’s the apocalypse; what use is money?” Zhang Lunping said self-deprecatingly.

ng Xu denied his question, “It’s useful, I need to pay my employees’ salaries!”

Zhang Lunping took a deep breath and asked, “How many people do you have over there? Is there enough food?”

Although Zhang Lunping thought ng Xu’s ntal state seed unstable.

But a trustworthy person is a good lunatic.

“You an my employees? Three, two from the security departnt, and one clerk.”

ng Xu counted on his fingers, “Of course, the clerk doesn’t matter much; she can do whatever she wants. But the two from the security departnt are pretty good; after all, they’re zombies and can communicate with other zombies…”

Chi Wei, Zhang Tao (Manager Zhang), and Shen Zhaozhao all needed to be paid!

Of course, Shen Zhaozhao didn’t matter as much.

If she wants to work, she can stay; if not, she can leave!

If she doesn’t want to work, there are lots of zombies willing to take her place!

But Chi Wei and Zhang Tao still needed their salaries to keep them engaged.

Otherwise, ng Xu couldn’t imagine what it would be like to have zombies co to collect debts… And the more assets he had, the more zombie employees he could recruit.

Wait a minute, when did I beco a capitalist too?

For a mont, ng Xu felt a deep, soul-crushing regret, as if his very essence had been tainted.

Zhang Lunping had no idea how to respond to ng Xu’s “mad talk.”

Your employees are zombies?

Any lingering thoughts Zhang Lunping had about working under ng Xu were extinguished.

He would forever be grateful to ng Xu.

If ng Xu ever needed his help in the future, he would not refuse, even at the cost of his life!

But working for him? No way. He didn’t want to coexist with zombies, especially given that he still had family.

“Alright, ti to get out.”

ng Xu waved his hand, and together they exited the vehicle. Zhang Lunping was tense, while ng Xu strolled around leisurely as if he were rely out for a walk.

They appeared to be from completely different worlds.

“Thank you, take care.”

Zhang Lunping didn’t say much after getting out. He just nodded to ng Xu and quickly headed toward the pharmacy.

He didn’t ask ng Xu to join him.

After all, ng Xu had already helped him enough.

ng Xu watched Zhang Lunping’s departing figure without saying anything.

In the apocalypse, there were too many people struggling to survive.

The golden text that appeared made ng Xu’s eyes light up. Without hesitation, he allocated the attribute points directly to strength.

Strength is the foundation of everything.

【Allocation successful. Current Strength: 14.5 points.】

“I’m feeling full of energy!”

ng Xu took a deep breath, grabbing his familiar weapons. The strong scent of blood in the air made him wrinkle his nose, “They said the city had a chic and decadent atmosphere, totally different from the suburbs. Why does it sll so bloody everywhere?”

“Roar!”

Zombies in the vicinity had drawn near, letting out shrill roars.

The nearest was a middle-aged woman who looked like she was grocery shopping when the zombie virus outbreak happened, facing a horrible fate.

Several shops around had zombies banging against glass doors, trying to break free and tear ng Xu apart.

She roared, hysterically charging towards ng Xu.

ng Xu sighed deeply and tightened his grip on the wrench, “Weren’t city folks supposed to be more mannered? How co they’re so rude? No courtesy at all.”

But this grocery-shopping zombie lady looked quite friendly, perhaps just playing a small joke on him.

ng Xu thought as much.

However, soon the grocery-shopping zombie lady rushed at him with a terrifying snarl.

Seeing this, ng Xu felt heartbroken.

Couldn’t people be more harmonious and friendly with each other? Even zombies could be friendly! Look at my employees, Chi Wei and Zhang Tao; they’re quite nice to !

With that thought, ng Xu pulled out the wrench.

One decisive strike, and the lady zombie fell.

ng Xu stepped forward to finish her off.

Behind him, the zombie horde grew more nacing. ng Xu even heard the sound of breaking glass.

“Forget it; I’m not wasting ti here. I still need to get to the Bureau of Comrce for paperwork.”

ng Xu spoke casually, glancing at the shared bikes at the entrance of the residential area. He quickly scanned to unlock one:

“Let’s go!”
