On the bed, radiating an undisputed aura of majesty and strength, sat Azrael, his legs folded in a lotus position.
He was absorbing the power from the mythic fruit currently. Energy flooded his body, rushing towards his core like a tide.
His eyes turned red from pain. Veins bulged on his skull from the sheer amount of will he put into staying conscious. Sweat poured from his head to the bed, soaking the sheets around him.
Slowly, the energy began to calm, everything condensing in his body to form a thick, dense mote of light.
"Argh!" The word, muffled, escaped his lips as he slumped into the bed.
He did not say a word; his body was too tired to utter any.
Groggily, he sat up.
He was not done. Not yet.
He still had two more fruits waiting in his spatial ring.
His essence flowed into his ring. Shortly after, the diamond tier fruit appeared in his palm.
He swallowed it imdiately, the sweet taste filling his mouth to the brim.
But Azrael was not going to be fooled by the sweetness of the fruit again. The previous one had caught him unaware.
As predicted, a headache struck, zapping through his head like a quick jolt of electricity.
After three grueling hours, Azrael had already absorbed all the fruits.
He drew heavy, ragged breaths. He stood up from his bed, removing the sheets calmly.
He tossed them into his laundry basket, alongside his current clothes, then went for a quick shower, slipped into new clothes, and made his bed with new sheets.
The entire process had taken less than ten minutes.
"Singularity generation," he muttered as he sat on the bed. "Phase shift and regeneration, too."
He read their descriptions ntally, his eyes constantly shifting between expressions.
"Their tiers are that high for a reason," he said with a bright smile.
"Now for the best part," he said, rubbing his palms together with a smug smile plastered across his lips.
"System."

[System shop]
[Inventory]
[System points (SP): 0/10]
The screen flashed in his eyes, displaying everything in a clean, ordered manner.
Azrael’s eyes spun with dizziness as he read through the list.
"So many things just because I awakened," he muttered with a tired sigh.
His eyes lingered on the bloodline section for a few seconds.
Although it looked weak, he knew better than to underestimate it.
"Inventory," he said calmly.
Instantly, the screen warped, shifting into a new 10x10 grid.
One of the slots was already in use, storing his newbie rewards.
He tapped the newbie gift pack on the screen.
A small parcel appeared in his hand, and with its appearance ca a system ssage.
[Do you wish to open the newbie gift pack?]
"Well, why else would I bring it out?" Azrael remarked sarcastically, tapping yes.
The parcel burst into fragnts of light.
[You have gained one Original Sin Fragnt. You have gained 10,000 SP. You have gained one core advancent potion, and one mythic tier fruit.]
"Original Sin Fragnt?" He muttered with confusion, scratching his head. "System, what is that?"
[The host needs to pay 50,000 SP to access the knowledge about the Original Sin Fragnt.]
Azrael sighed calmly.
Then the outburst, pure and unrestrained.
"How can you show sothing and then charge to know what it is?" He asked furiously.
[Please, host, stop constituting a nuisance.]
The system’s words rang through his head. As if that was not all, the screen displayed a face palming emoji too.
"Huh?" Azrael flinched. "Since when did you have a personality?"
[I could have just stayed quiet and rested for the next million years or so, but your loudness woke .]
A sighing emoji appeared on the screen.
[I don’t know why I wasn’t given to a cool, calm, and reserved host.]
The system lanted with a crying emoji.
"Wait, so you were always there? And who are you calling loud?" Azrael blurted out.
[Who else?]
The eyes emoji appeared on the screen this ti.
"And you learned to use emojis in there too?"
[Well, I got that from surfing your mory. Cool, right?]
Azrael nodded. "I must admit, it is."
Before they could continue their conversation, a knock ca from the door, echoing through the room.
"Who is there?" Azrael asked, standing up from the bed.
"Erebus," the person said.
Azrael frowned as he heard the na.
’What is the patriarch’s butler doing here?’ He wondered.
[I don’t think he wants to kidnap you.]
The system replied.
"Obviously," Azrael replied with a click of his tongue.
"Co in," he said after a brief pause.
Slowly, the door creaked open. Erebus, a man standing at an imposing eight feet, with crimson horns and pink eyes, bowed slightly as he saw Azrael.
"Young master Azrael," he said as he raised his head. "I am here for two reasons."
After saying those words, he paused, as if waiting for permission from Azrael to continue.
"Shoot," the words drifted lazily from Azrael’s lips.
Erebus bowed again.
"You need to choose a personal maid before next week, as per the rules of the clan. All direct heirs must have one within a week of awakening."
The words lingered in the air for a while before Erebus’s lips parted to speak again.
