Joel Bellamy pursed his lips and said sullenly, "I thought you were going to leave with her. I was anxious at the ti and didn’t know how to make you co back."

Landon Sutton took a deep breath, wanting to clarify things to Joel Bellamy. However, due to what he saw last night, he swallowed his words again.

Originally, he planned to return with Shannon Quinn as soon as possible, but now it seems he might need to reconsider; she may not love him as much as her diary describes.

Maybe what she told him was only the part she wanted him to know.

It seems he still has to rely on himself.

After thinking all night, he decided not to choose between Shannon Quinn or Joel Bellamy.

Before recovering his mory, he decided to set aside the past and live his present life well.

"Joel."

It was the first ti hearing him call her by na. Joel Bellamy seed a bit surprised and perplexed, looking up at Landon Sutton: "What’s up, brother?"

Landon Sutton: "I don’t belong here; I will leave eventually."

Joel Bellamy’s smile froze: "What do you an you don’t belong here? You’ve grown up here since you were little."

Landon Sutton smiled: "I don’t know who’s been lying to , and I don’t want to guess anymore. Since I’ve forgotten the past, I’ll let go of it and start a new life."

Joel Bellamy didn’t expect Landon Sutton to make such a choice, but it wasn’t the outco she wanted either.

"Brother, if you want to let go of the past, we can start anew."

Landon Sutton: "I will leave here in a few days."

Joel Bellamy: "Where are you going?"

Landon Sutton: "I don’t know, I want to go out and see. Alone."

He specifically added those last three words, dispelling Joel Bellamy’s thoughts of going with him.

Joel Bellamy could see that he hadn’t been happy lately and didn’t want to see him like this forever.

But she was also very afraid that if he left, he might never return.

Landon Sutton stood up, looked down at Joel Bellamy, and spoke earnestly like an older brother advising a naive younger sister: "Don’t do anything foolish. You need to rember that no one is more important than yourself."

Joel Bellamy stood up, her eyes teary as she looked at him, her voice choked: "Will you co back?"

Landon Sutton still shook his head: "I don’t know."

Joel Bellamy pursed her lips, lowered her gaze, pondering in her mind, yet mouthed understandingly: "Alright then, I know you’re not feeling well now. It’s good to go out for a bit, but if you want to co back, this will always be your ho."

For the entire day, Shannon Quinn hadn’t received any news from Landon Sutton.

She sent him three ssages without any response, prompting her to question Ronan Rhodes about whether he hadn’t given Landon Sutton a phone charger.

Shannon Quinn decided to wait another night. If she still didn’t hear from him by tomorrow morning, she would go looking for him.

In the middle of the night, it started to rain, and Shannon Quinn woke from her sleep.

She picked up her phone to check the ti; it was past three in the morning.

There were still no new ssage alerts on her phone.

She sighed lightly, picked up the water cup on the bedside, took a sip, then lay on the bed and reviewed their chat history from the past two days.

The more she read, the more she missed him, and an idea popped into Shannon Quinn’s head—to call him.

She never dared to call him for fear of being discovered by Joel Bellamy that Landon Sutton had a phone.

But considering it was now the middle of the night, he should be alone in his room.

As soon as this thought crossed her mind, she had already dialed the number.

The call connected. Shannon Quinn put the phone to her ear, wondering if perhaps he had his phone on silent and wouldn’t notice her call.

However, after just three rings, and counting to the fourth, it didn’t ring anymore, yet there was no sound from him on the other end.

"Nate?" Shannon Quinn tried calling softly.

Landon Sutton: "Not asleep yet?"

He had actually decided not to contact Shannon Quinn for a while and wanted to cool off for so ti.

But seeing her call, he couldn’t bring himself to hang up.

He missed hearing her voice.

Shannon Quinn: "Just woke up. You didn’t reply to the ssages I sent during the day. I’ve been worried about you."

There was a pause on the other end of the line, followed by his voice: "I saw the ssages."

Shannon Quinn pouted, dissatisfied: "Then why didn’t you reply to ?"

Landon Sutton: "I want so ti to myself."

On the other end, Shannon Quinn was taken aback: "What do you an?"

Landon Sutton held back from questioning what he saw that night, so things he didn’t want to expose, perhaps preserving that beauty in himself.

He simply replied: "I will leave here in a few days, but for now, I won’t be going back with you."

Shannon Quinn frowned, confused: "Then where do you want to go?"

Landon Sutton: "Just to go out and see the world alone."

Shannon Quinn didn’t understand why he changed his mind but respected his thoughts: "Alright, when the ti cos, let Ronan go with you, so he can take care of you."

Landon Sutton: "No need, I can go by myself. You should go back first and take good care of yourself and the child. Don’t worry about ."

Hearing him say that, Shannon Quinn still felt a bit upset but knew this wasn’t the ti for her to be unreasonable and capricious. In the past, he had always been understanding and tolerant of her temperant and character, and now she should also learn to understand and tolerate him.

As Shannon Quinn was about to say sothing more, Landon Sutton ended the call with a sentence, "Get so rest."

He was the one who hung up on her.

Shannon Quinn frowned at the phone, which had been hung up, feeling faintly uneasy. She hardly fell back asleep in the second half of the night.

A little after six, Shannon Quinn got up, changed her clothes, grabbed an umbrella, and prepared to go out.

"Sister-in-law? Where are you going in such heavy rain?" Ronan Rhodes walked out from the bathroom and looked at Shannon Quinn in confusion.

Shannon Quinn: "I want to find him."

Ronan Rhodes: "To find Master Nate? You’re pregnant; don’t wander around recklessly. If sothing happens, I can’t take responsibility. Don’t you have Master Nate’s phone number? If you miss him, just have him co over. It’s rainy, the mountain road is slippery, what are you fussing over?"

Shannon Quinn just wanted to ask face-to-face what Landon Sutton ant by those words last night.

If he simply wanted so ti alone to relax, she could understand. But his attitude last night didn’t seem to be as simple as she thought.

Ronan Rhodes muttered, "Master Nate too. He didn’t co all day yesterday. I don’t know what he’s up to."

Seeing Shannon Quinn with her umbrella already walking into the rain, Ronan Rhodes quickly reached out and pulled her back: "Sister-in-law, don’t be reckless. If you want to go, wait until the rain is lighter, or if there’s sothing you need to pass on to Master Nate, just let do it. You quickly go back inside and sit down."

Shannon Quinn frowned: "I feel uneasy inside, like sothing happened to him."

Ronan Rhodes: "I think you’re just too sensitive, sister-in-law. Master Nate doesn’t rember the past now. He might be a bit colder to you than before, but don’t rush. Give Master Nate so ti. You need to take good care of your health and the child in your belly. If sothing happens, once Master Nate’s mory returns, he’d be full of self-bla."
