Seeing Shannon Quinn sleepily nodding off, Landon Sutton left around three in the afternoon.

When he got back, Joel Bellamy was searching around for him.

Joel: "Bro, where did you run off to?!"

Landon replied casually: "Just wandered around a bit, seeing if I could rember anything."

Joel hesitated and scrutinized him, simply saying: "Next ti you want to go sowhere, call to accompany you. You don’t rember anything now, it’d be problematic if anything happened."

Landon responded with a "Mm" and walked into his own room.

Joel wanted to follow him in, but Landon blocked the door and asked her: "Is there anything else?"

Joel was taken aback, thinking he used to let her enter and exit his room freely.

"...Bro, are you going to sleep?"

Landon nodded.

Joel peered inside through the gap curiously but didn’t find anything strange. She stepped back half-heartedly, rubbed her nose, and said: "Then you rest up, I’ll go to Uncle’s house to pick so fruits."

Landon softly "Mm-ed," then closed his door.

Lying on the small bed in the wooden cabin, he looked up at the ceiling, his mind replaying the different versions of stories told by Joel and Shannon Quinn.

Now, it seed both versions made sense, yet they were two completely different lives.

Compared to Joel, the truth was he was more afraid of what Shannon Quinn said.

Because she was pregnant now, if what she said was true, then he’d be neither a qualified husband nor a qualified father.

But now, he knew nothing about his past, everything was blank.

Just recalling Shannon Quinn’s face, he always felt a certain familiarity in his heart.

It’s as if there was such a scene, when he awoke from slumber, a girl’s voice whispered in his ear: You’re awake?

Yet when he tried to piece Shannon Quinn’s face with the blurry one in his mory, the image of Joel awakening him appeared.

He didn’t know if his mory was muddled, or if the image in his mory truly existed.

Who was that blurry face?

Too many doubts troubled Landon’s mind, leaving him sowhat annoyed, he closed his eyes and gradually fell asleep...

In the evening, thunder and rain began. Shannon Quinn liked the rain but was sowhat afraid of thunder.

Especially since the house here had almost no sound insulation, the thunder sounded as if it was right above her head. She hid under the covers but couldn’t completely block the fear in her heart.

Just thinking if he were here at the mont, being nestled in his embrace, nothing would be scary anymore.

Thinking of this, Shannon Quinn couldn’t help but imagine, was Joel occupying the embrace that originally belonged to her?

As she daydread and self-hypnotized, she told herself Landon Sutton wasn’t that sort of person.

Moreover, she had instructed him in the afternoon; he probably wouldn’t do such a thing.

Lightning illuminated the lighthouse by the sea, along with the white house and red tiles beside it.

"Knock, knock..."

The wooden door was knocked on, accompanied by lightning and thunder, the scene was sowhat intimidating.

A girl stood at the wooden door hugging a pillow, after a few seconds, knocked twice again: "Bro, are you asleep?"

After a while, the door was opened from inside, Landon stood at the door, looking down at Joel without speaking.

Just then, a loud thunder sounded, and Joel instantly leaned close to Landon, frightened and trembling: "Bro, I’m afraid of the thunder..."

Landon: "Then why are you wandering outside?"

Joel: "...I want to sleep with you."

Landon paused, politely refused: "I prefer to sleep alone."

Joel: "But I’m scared...You always hold to sleep during thunderstorms before."

Landon recalled Shannon Quinn’s instructions during the day, yet his attitude remained firm: "I’m not used to it now."

Joel was really scared, she used to rush into mom’s room to sleep during thunderstorms.

She originally wanted to use this opportunity to develop her relationship with Landon Sutton, but unexpectedly Landon refused so straightforwardly.

She hesitated for a bit and said: "Then I’ll just sleep on the floor, as long as there’s soone beside , I won’t be that scared."

Landon still hesitated, but seeing Joel trembling with fear, he couldn’t bear to refuse.

In the end, he let Joel sleep on the bed while he slept on the floor.

"Bro." Joel softly called.

Getting no response, Joel turned to look at Landon sleeping on the floor, he still had his eyes open and wasn’t asleep.

Joel asked him: "Bro, are you cold?"

Landon glanced at her: "Hurry up and sleep."

Joel pouted, wrapped herself in the covers, laying on the bed, wanting to speak several tis, but feared her brother would find her noisy.

After much internal struggle, she succumbed to sleepiness and drifted off.

Landon lay with his hands under his head, watching the lightning light up the room, he suddenly thought if she was scared in this weather?

Early the next morning, the rain finally stopped, the air was still wet, and water dripped from the eaves.

Shannon Quinn got up, stood on the balcony, stretched, and caught sight of sothing unusual downstairs.

When she looked closely at who it was, her sleepy eyes instantly cleared, she smiled at the person downstairs, then ran down, opened the door in front of Landon: "When did you arrive? Do you have sothing so early?"

Landon: "Couldn’t sleep."

Shannon Quinn expressed concern: "Did I tell you too much yesterday? Are you feeling confused?"

Landon shook his head, not daring to admit that he was thinking about her all night.

Because he feared if he really loved Joel Bellamy before, then thinking about Shannon Quinn now would let Joel down.

Landon: "Why did you get up so early?"

Shannon Quinn rubbed her waist: "The bed’s too hard, couldn’t sleep well."

Landon suddenly changed the topic and asked her: "Are you afraid of thunder?"

Shannon Quinn froze, then smiled and nodded: "A bit scared, the thunder here sounds so loud. It was better before, being alone I could manage, but when you’re here I’m not scared at all."

Landon heard this and just looked at her without speaking.

Shannon Quinn felt a bit embarrassed under his gaze, scratching her head, worried if her hair was disheveled upon waking, quickly ran her fingers through her hair.

Looking up and seeing him still staring at her face, she got embarrassed and looked down, rubbed her eyes, picked out the eye gunk, touched her face, ensuring there was nothing amiss, then heard a soft laugh above her.

She looked up and saw his curved lips, the smile softened his features.

For a mont, she almost believed he rembered her.

Shannon Quinn: "Why are you laughing?"

Landon: "I don’t know either."

Seeing her charmingly clumsy deanor, he couldn’t help but smile.

With Joel Bellamy, he didn’t seem to feel such peculiar emotions.

But he still couldn’t rember the woman in front of him.
