The next morning, the landlord called, and Susan Wilde went over to sign the rental agreent, arranging to move in the day after tomorrow.

After returning, she simply packed her belongings, which were just so clothes and work docunts, and they barely fit into one suitcase.

Erin Bishop also enthusiastically offered to drive Susan Wilde on the moving day.

"Shaw, I’m going upstairs to take a shower first, it’s too hot."

Suddenly, Rowan Alder’s voice sounded outside, and Susan Wilde paused her movents, leaning against the door to listen. She didn’t expect them to co back at that ti.

"Okay, you go ahead, I’ll make dinner."

Hearing the footsteps halfway up the stairs, Rowan Alder asked again, "Is she ho?"

Shawn Rhodes replied, "Why do you care? Hurry up and wash up for dinner."

It seed like the two had reconciled, but Susan Wilde didn’t expect Rowan Alder to still dare to co here.

Shawn Rhodes feigned indifference, but after Rowan Alder went upstairs, he went to stand by Susan Wilde’s door.

Hearing footsteps approaching, Susan Wilde quickly stepped back, returning to the bed and pretending to nonchalantly organize the clothes on it.

Without even knocking, he used the key to open the door and co in.

He originally intended to check on Susan Wilde’s injuries, but upon entering, he imdiately saw the suitcase leaning against the cabinet by the door.

"Going on a business trip?" he asked.

Without turning her head, Susan Wilde answered, "Moving out."

Shawn Rhodes frowned, "Did I agree?"

"I wasn’t planning on asking for your permission, this is my own decision."

His expression turned displeased, but Susan Wilde still did not look at him.

"Fine, if you want to leave, leave far away. Dying outside would be best."

Susan Wilde stood up with the sorted clothes, placing the ones she didn’t intend to take back into the cabinet, then looked at him with a smile, "Unless you hire soone to kill , I shouldn’t die that early. Oh, I forgot, you don’t need to hire anyone to kill , you could just do it yourself."

Shawn Rhodes found her sarcastic smile as glaring as the white bandage on her forehead, and he was easily provoked by her.

"Susan Wilde, I’m really afraid I’ll lose control and kill you one day."

Susan Wilde continued to smile, "Then when you plan to kill , give a heads-up. Maybe I can prepare so weapons to kill you in self-defense and get a reduced sentence. Who knows, once I’m released, I might inherit my deceased husband’s estate, and your spirit can hopefully bless Laura with so food to eat."

For the first ti, provoking him felt like a particularly satisfying achievent.

Shawn Rhodes suppressed his anger and coldly asked, "Where are you moving to?"

"Simon Rhodes’ place."

He sneered and, hearing Rowan Alder asking him sothing from upstairs, left Susan Wilde and headed upstairs.

Not long after, Simon Rhodes ca downstairs and went straight to the kitchen.

A few minutes later, Rowan Alder’s voice echoed in the living room, saying, "Where did this cat co from? Get lost!"

Susan Wilde ca out to see Rowan Alder kicking the kitten away with her foot.

"ow~"

Susan Wilde went out, picked up the kitten, and was about to take it to her room.

Seeing her, Rowan Alder mockingly sneered, "Oh, you’re ho? What’s up with your head? How did you get hurt? Just because Shaw doesn’t like you doesn’t an you should self-harm."

Susan Wilde hadn’t intended to argue with Rowan Alder, as long as Rowan didn’t stir up trouble, she would ignore it, but she didn’t expect Rowan to enjoy provoking her.

Without answering Rowan Alder, she carried the kitten straight to the kitchen, where there were already two dishes on the table, looking quite appetizing.

"Oh, I forgot to tell you, your mom called in the afternoon saying she’ll be dropping sothing off later."

Shawn Rhodes glanced at Susan Wilde, and then at Rowan Alder standing by the door. Rowan imdiately panicked, "Your mom doesn’t like , I should leave."

"Wait, we’ll go out to eat." After saying this, Shawn Rhodes put down the utensils, picked up his coat and car keys, and after Rowan Alder changed clothes, the two of them left the house.

Susan Wilde smiled, went to the kitchen, ladled so soup from the pot into a bowl, scooped a bowl of rice, and thought having a ready al was quite sothing.

Actually, Mrs. Rhodes didn’t call her at all, and Shawn Rhodes was likely doubtful but chose to take Rowan Alder away just in case.

At the sa ti, Shannon Quinn was eating the dinner that Landon Sutton prepared himself. Except for occasionally taking them out to eat, he cooked almost every day.

Shannon Quinn and Leo gained so weight, maybe Leo grew a bit taller, while Shannon Quinn did indeed beco plumper, though compared to other pregnant won, she was still relatively slim.

"By the way, honey, did your company hire soone new?"

"That’s the HR departnt’s business, I don’t have to worry about such trivial matters."

Implying he didn’t know.

Shannon Quinn continued, "Mom told this morning that a friend of hers has a daughter, graduated from Kingsbridge, who’s going to work at your company."

Landon Sutton responded coolly, "Oh, our company has quite a few high-achievers, it’s not surprising."

Shannon Quinn: "It’s because they know my mom’s daughter is married to you, and they wanted to ask if you could look after her a bit at the company. I heard she’s a very smart girl, only twenty-three, her achievents must be a family pride."

Landon Sutton: "You’re also the pride of our whole family."

Shannon Quinn rolled her eyes, "Just keep an eye out, if the girl genuinely has talent, maybe you could shorten her probation or promote her slightly, it would give my mom’s friend sothing positive to tell others. Can you imagine her chatting with her friend, bragging about how wonderful her son-in-law is? It makes you look good, right?"

Landon Sutton asked, "What’s her na?"

Shannon Quinn replied, "I think it’s Sharon Griffin, I haven’t t her, but I’ll co to the office with you in the morning to see."

The next day, Shannon Quinn took the chance during the morning eting to find out that Sharon Griffin worked in the planning departnt.

Everyone in the company knew Shannon Quinn’s status as the boss’s wife. Luckily, since it was working hours, even if people noticed her, they didn’t make a fuss.

Shannon Quinn stood by the door and glanced around. Most of the employees in the planning departnt were experienced, which made the early-twenties Sharon Griffin stand out.

She didn’t go over to say hello, just observed quietly, concluding that Sharon Griffin seed to be a serious young woman. Actually, Sharon wasn’t much younger than her, but perhaps becoming a mother made her view recent graduates as kids.

When Sharon Griffin was about to deliver so docunts, she noticed Shannon Quinn by the door and imdiately recognized her, though she hesitated, unsure of how to address Shannon.

Shannon Quinn warmly greeted, "Just call Shannon, your mom ntioned you started working here, so I ca to check on you. Are you getting used to it so far?"

Sharon Griffin nodded, "Yes, the seniors take good care of , and the work atmosphere is much better than at my previous internship. It’s certainly thanks to President Sutton’s exemplary managent."
