Sheila Yardley was still sowhat hesitant, but then thought, if she first went to the hospital for the surgery, even if Caleb Grant found out, it would be too late. Maybe he hadn’t planned on having a child either, just like her.

"Let’s go, wait for at the door, I’ll go get the car."

Sheila Yardley hesitated, nodded, and followed Aidan Lockwood.

In fact, she herself was also very afraid, but with professional equipnt and technology, she would naturally feel much more at ease.

In the car, Aidan Lockwood asked her, "Have you made up your mind?"

Sheila Yardley withdrew her gaze from the window, glanced at Aidan Lockwood, then nodded and said, "Yes, I’ve decided."

Aidan Lockwood didn’t pry into the details or the truth, he only said, "Your sister asked to take good care of you. If she finds out about this, she’ll definitely hold accountable."

"Shannon?"

"Yes, every ti I call her, she asks about how you’re doing."

Sheila Yardley lowered her head in sha, feeling particularly sorry to those who cared about her.

When they were waiting at a red light, Aidan Lockwood turned his head and looked at Sheila Yardley for a few seconds, and said, "Actually, I’ve also felt that sothing has been off with you recently. You don’t seem as cheerful as before, always preoccupied, but I felt it was your private matter, so I didn’t pry. But if you’re really in trouble, just say the word, your teacher will still help you as much as possible."

Sheila Yardley nodded, forced a slight smile, and said, "Thank you."

When they arrived at the hospital, Sheila Yardley noticed Caleb Grant’s people were still following.

As they walked into the elevator with Aidan Lockwood, Sheila Yardley asked, "Can the surgery be done imdiately?"

"Let’s hear what the doctor says first."

Without registering or waiting in line, Aidan Lockwood found his friend, a woman around thirty, who seed to be his classmate.

"This is your doing?" The doctor joked with Aidan Lockwood while examining Sheila Yardley.

"Don’t talk nonsense, she’s my student."

"Are you sure you want to go through with the abortion?"

Sheila Yardley took a deep breath, nodded, and said, "Yes."

The doctor then called for an assistant and said, "Get her a blood test."

While having her blood drawn, Sheila Yardley asked worriedly, "Will it take long for the results? Can the surgery be done imdiately?"

"No need to rush, it will only take a few minutes, and we need to ensure your safety, right?"

Sitting nervously in the chair waiting, Caleb Grant had indeed received the news and guessed the reason after hearing his subordinate say Sheila Yardley went to the hospital’s gynecology departnt.

He imdiately ended the eting and drove to the hospital.

"Everything is normal, let’s prepare for surgery."

Lying on the bed, Sheila Yardley looked at the lights overhead, her mind a chaotic whirl.

After the anesthetic was injected, she lost consciousness in less than a minute...

When she woke up again, the surroundings were familiar, causing her mory to be sowhat confused for a mont.

She thought it was morning when she first woke up, but a glance out the window showed it was already night.

Her mory gradually returned, recalling the events of the day, she imdiately sat up from the bed, felt her belly, and saw the man sitting on the sofa by her bed.

"You have more guts than I imagined," Caleb Grant looked at her, his voice neither light nor heavy.

Sheila Yardley felt her heart leap to her throat, wondering if the child was already gone.

Caleb Grant stood up, walked to the bedside, holding her maternity report from the hospital today, he tossed it beside her and asked, "When did you find out you were pregnant?"

Sheila Yardley remained silent with her head down, sensing no difference in her body compared to before, and she already suspected her plan had failed.

"In the morning, the reason for not resisting was that you wanted to kill this child with my own hands, right?" He spoke these words lightly, yet they felt like the calm before the storm.

"...I just thought there was no need for you to know. You wouldn’t want this child anyway."

"Who told you that? Hmm?" Caleb Grant let out a cold laugh, "Sheila Yardley, you’re colder than I imagined."

Sheila Yardley suddenly laughed, looked up at him, and said, "Then what do you think I should do? Have the child? Raise it to live a life like mine, or let it beco a demon like you?"

Seeing her emotionally agitated, Caleb Grant rembered the reminder he had given, suppressed his internal rage, and didn’t argue with her.

Turning away, he said, "Take good care of your pregnancy."

Sheila Yardley looked at his back and declared firmly, "I won’t give birth to this child!"

Caleb Grant didn’t respond further, closing the door with a slightly heavy hand.

Sheila Yardley sat dumbfounded on the bed for quite a while before getting up to look for her bag, turning it inside out but not finding her phone.

anwhile, Caleb Grant was holding her phone, replying to Aidan Lockwood’s text.

Caleb Grant was a very cautious person, and before replying, he looked through Sheila Yardley’s previous ssages, imitating her tone and habits, and wrote a ssage: "I’m okay, Professor Lockwood, thank you for your concern. I was too rash before. I’ve talked it over with the child’s father and plan to have the baby, so I won’t be going to work for now, I’ll be resting at ho."

At the hospital, Caleb Grant had interacted with Aidan Lockwood, explaining that he and Sheila Yardley were having a conflict, thus her wish to abort the baby. He didn’t raise any suspicion in Aidan Lockwood, since Caleb Grant’s words showed his concern for Sheila Yardley and the baby.

So when Caleb Grant wanted to take Sheila Yardley away, Aidan Lockwood didn’t interfere, after all, he was the father of the child.

Aidan Lockwood quickly replied, "As long as you’re okay, that’s good. Should I notify your family?"

Caleb Grant thought for a mont and replied, "I’ll tell them myself, thank you for today, Professor Lockwood."

"Bang bang bang—" Sheila Yardley pounded on Caleb Grant’s door with her hand.

Caleb Grant put the phone into a drawer, got up and went to the door. Opening it, Sheila Yardley stood there and questioned, "Where is my phone?"

"I’ll keep it for you for now."

"Give it back to ."

"Mobile phones have radiation, which isn’t good for the child."

"What exactly are you trying to do?!"

"Give up the thought of abortion, give birth to the child for , and I won’t do anything to you."

"Dream on!"

"Stay in the room and think about it. Don’t go out during this ti."

This ti, he was more ruthless than before.

He changed the lock on Sheila Yardley’s door, making it so it could only be opened from the outside, sealed the windows, and removed everything in the room that could harm her.

Sheila Yardley thought describing Caleb Grant as a psychopath might fit perfectly, a man whose thoughts were extrely twisted.
