Chapter 376: Chapter 376: Have You Done Sothing Wrong? Chapter 376: Chapter 376: Have You Done Sothing Wrong? “Alright then,” Liu Yushu thought, couldn’t she have given her a heads-up over the phone?

What could be so important that it had to be said in person?

After hanging up the phone, Liu Yushu told Lu Zhenguo about the call.

Lu Zhenguo’s first reaction was whether they had gotten into so kind of dispute.

“It’s not that. It didn’t sound like it from Youxi’s tone,” said Liu Yushu, “I just asked her, and she said she has to tell us in person, and it’s not a bad thing, just really important.”

“This child, always keeping us in suspense,” Liu Yushu said with a frown, “It leaves feeling so uneasy.”

“It’s not a bad thing, right?” Lu Zhenguo was worried too, but seeing Liu Yushu so anxious, he could only comfort her, “Since Youxi said so, let’s not worry needlessly.”

“Eh, I can’t help it, I have to look out the window,” Liu Yushu said as she headed to the balcony, deciding to wait there and watch for Lu Youxi’s arrival.

“Where are they now? If you start watching now, you don’t know how long you’ll have to wait,” Lu Zhenguo followed up with a question.

“I don’t know; I just can’t sit still,” Liu Yushu said, no longer in the mood to chat with Lu Zhenguo.

Lu Zhenguo scratched his forehead twice with his index finger, intending to go back to the living room to watch TV, but he couldn’t sit still either and ended up following Liu Yushu to the balcony.

Grandma Xu sat on the living room sofa, sewing an apron for Lu Youxue to use in the big cleanup the next day to avoid getting his clothes dirty.

After finishing the last stitch, Grandma Xu picked up the apron and knocked on Lu Youxue’s bedroom door.

Lu Youxue was still doing his howork, “Youxue.”

“Coming.” Lu Youxue put down his pen and got up to open the door for Grandma Xu.

“Try this on, does it fit?” Grandma Xu held out the apron to Lu Youxue.

Lu Youxue was now a teenager in middle school, so Grandma Xu had specifically chosen black fabric for him.

To avoid a style or color that would be made fun of at school.

“It fits well,” Lu Youxue tied it on, the black apron looking cool, “Thank you, Grandma Xu.”

Lu Youxue was especially fond of Grandma Xu, who wasn’t stubborn or obstinate like so elderly, nor did she dismiss the sensitive feelings of children.

Wouldn’t they think any random apron is not good enough?

There were ready-made ones at the restaurant, just give one to Lu Youxue.

But she had specially made a new one that fit his current tastes as a boy.

“Good that you like it,” Grandma Xu said smilingly, “By the way, how is your howork going?”

“I’m about to finish it.”

“Your sister just called, said she will be back soon. Hurry up and finish it,” Grandma Xu reminded.

Lu Youxue hadn’t seen Lu Youxi for quite a while, and his face brightened upon hearing the news, hurriedly returning to his work.

Only then did Grandma Xu head to the balcony too.

“Aunt Xu, it’s windy here, why did you co out too?” Liu Yushu had opened the window wide to be able to see Lu Youxi coming and was about to close it promptly.

“It’s not cold, leave it open, better to see clearly,” Grandma Xu stopped Liu Yushu from closing the window, stood beside her, looking down as well and said, “Don’t worry, if Youxi had sothing truly bad, she would keep it to herself rather than saying it out loud. Since she’s brought it up, it surely won’t be sothing for us to worry about.”

Liu Yushu thought about it and agreed, nodding, “I think so too. It’s just that not hearing from her makes uneasy.”

“Who’s that driving such a nice car into our neighborhood?” Lu Zhenguo exclaid in surprise.

“Yeah, really,” Liu Yushu said, “I haven’t seen such a nice car around here since we moved in.”

Naturally from upstairs, they couldn’t see the car’s emblem.

But the car looked large and even from its appearance, it seed very expensive.

Liu Yushu, having lived in the Imperial Capital for a long ti, may not recognize all the car brands, but there’s no lack of luxury cars in the Imperial Capital, so she had beco acquainted with quite a few of them.

The residents in the neighborhood were all ordinary families, not too poor, but just average.

Even among relatives and friends, she hadn’t seen anyone co visit in such a luxurious car.

However, imdiately after, they saw three people alight from the car.

Grandma Xu’s eyesight was not that great, and she couldn’t see clearly.

She just felt that the figures looked so familiar.

It was Lu Zhenguo and Liu Yushu who recognized them clearly.

“Isn’t that Youxi and Shuyan getting out of the car?” Liu Yushu’s voice rose in surprise.

“And the person coming out behind them looks like a parent-in-law,” Lu Zhenguo added.

Liu Yushu was so taken aback by the sight of Lu Youxi and Zhou Shuyan erging from the car that she didn’t notice Xu Jingmin.

Hearing Lu Zhenguo’s words, she hurriedly looked over.

“Wasn’t Shuyan the one who ca out from the driver’s side just now?” Liu Yushu wasn’t certain, worried her eyes were playing tricks on her.

Lu Zhenguo: “…”

Don’t ask him; he was just as baffled.

Grandma Xu, on the other hand, was the calst, nodding affirmatively, “It was Xiao Zhou driving.”

“This car… it’s borrowed, isn’t it?” Liu Yushu asked, not very sure.

Before Lu Zhenguo and Grandma Xu could answer, Liu Yushu added: “I don’t know which one of them borrowed it, but this is really inappropriate. If they scratch or dent such an expensive car, who’s going to pay for that?”

During this conversation, Zhou Shuyan and the others had entered the building.

The three from Liu Yushu’s family couldn’t see Lu Youxi and her party anymore and returned to the living room.

Liu Yushu, still restless, went to wait at the door.

Liu Yushu anxiously waited, thinking with the elevator, why was it taking so long for the three of them to co up?

At this hour, their building’s elevator wasn’t busy; hardly anyone used it.

Finally, she heard voices outside the door.

Liu Yushu quickly opened the door, just in ti to see Lu Youxi taking the keys out of her purse to unlock it.

“Mom,” Lu Youxi called out.

“Mother-in-law,” Xu Jingmin greeted with a beaming smile.

“Mother-in-law, please co in,” Liu Yushu smiled, stepping aside to let Xu Jingmin enter first.

Then Lu Youxi and Zhou Shuyan followed inside.

“Why did you co at this hour? And made the mother-in-law co out on such a late visit,” Liu Yushu pressed with questions.

Even though she knew Grandma Xu had a point, she couldn’t help but worry.

At the ntion of this, both Xu Jingmin and Zhou Shuyan showed solemn and nervous expressions.

Liu Yushu grew even more concerned upon seeing this.

With a heart filled with apprehension, Liu Yushu returned to the living room, politely asking Zhou Shuyan and Xu Jingmin to sit down.

Xu Jingmin then said, “In-laws, there’s sothing Shuyan and I have kept from you, so we ca especially tonight to co clean and also to ask for your forgiveness for our past secrecy.”

“What… what is it?” Liu Yushu’s heart suddenly filled with a myriad of ominous guesses.

“Mom, Dad, I’ve actually hidden my true identity from you before,” Zhou Shuyan spoke.

Lu Zhenguo leapt to his feet, “Have you committed a cri?”
