108 Uncultured Swines' slice of life

The night that the West Abundance Wind passed by. Even though the harsh winds had passed by in the morning, the area was still windy. The forest surrounding the place was quaking with trees bending, and all the little animals couldn't help but tremble as they hid under their respective safe havens.

But in the suppressive darkness, the bright city awash with the light of bright torches and hurricane lamps stood out; not much wind passed its walls to disturb the inhabitants inside. For them, as much as the animals hated today, they loved.

Their Evolved were happy today; so of their kids had Awakened today, and today had been an excellent day of business. So n and won joined in the center of the Starlight Zone, and a huge bonfire lay in the middle, burning high.

"Haiyya…" an old man sighed and began to walk towards the fire. "Life is so boring. This old man should just die."

So people laughed while a young boy desperately held the old man's clothes. "Granppa! Granppa!" the boy squeaked with an anxious voice and dragged back the old man's clothes. But unfortunately, he was weak, and his legs were dragged through the mud towards the fire.

"Granppa! Gran—" Just as the boy grew anxious to the max, he seed to have gotten so divine power, and his grandpa staggered backward.

"Haiyya…" the old man sighed again. "Even brats are now so strong!"

People around laughed while the old man decided to do the sa thing and walk towards the fire again.

On another side of the bonfire was a quickly set-up place for at and alcohol. Han Li sat there with a flagon of alcohol in his hand and an unapproachable expression while Li Yao drank from another jar beside him.

"Ha, damn!" she hissed, "On-the-spot drinks hit differently!"

Han Li ignored her and chewed inside his teeth for so of the bird at stuck in his gums while peacefully looking at the old man's shenanigans. While beside the duo enjoying their alcohol stood Yue Li and Liyue—both were glaring at a jug of drinks in front of them.

"Liyue, maybe the day had finally arrived when the queen of this kingdom finally fell to the dark side," Yue Li said mysteriously.

Liyue looked at her dubiously. "That is at my girl," Yue Li looked around suspiciously. "All of the people around would make you want to drink alcohol and beco like your mother. But that is the dark path, and my child, you don't belong in the world of darkness."

Liyue smiled slightly and asked, "Why are you speaking so weirdly, Mother?"

"Shhh…" Yue Li shushed her with a finger. "Let not the world of darkness know what the light thinks. Look around you, Liyue. Do the people around seem familiar to you?"

Liyue blinked and looked around. Deep down, she was actually having her heart beat loudly, but the cheery noices of the crowd around the area made its noise negligible. Who would have thought she would be able to look at people's faces without looking down a second later?

"…they don't really seem familiar, even though I do know so."

"That is it, Liyue!" Yue Li laughed. "Then why would you be so bothered about what they think and what they wouldn't? Just be like , uncaring of anybody's reaction. Bwahahaha!"

Liyue looked at Yue Li, her eyes growing starry. "So you are telling not to worry about others because they don't matter anyway?"

"Yep!" Yue Li sniffed back so snot coming down her nose, and her face reddened a bit more. "Oh no, I forgot to continue the narrative."

She cleared her throat.

"So, Liyue, the queen of the kingdom, was about to turn to the dark side now. Don't you wish to witness that montous event?"

Han Li finally leaned his head back and looked at his mother with an upside-down gaze. Was she drunk already?

He had given her a kiss with his mouth filled with alcohol about half an hour ago. Nobody had seen it, of course, and his mom was too shy to accept his skinship in public—not that she would mind if he actually asked for it.

But he didn't have any plans to do sothing like that.

"Liyue, look after her; she gets tipsy easily," Han Li transmitted into Liyue's mind, and she blinked but didn't show much else of a reaction. He nodded.

A cool wind passed by them, lifting their robes or hair as it flew away with the scent of great wine.

As Han Li himself grew slightly tipsy, he shook his head and burped.

"So the Queen is about to drink Alcohol!" Yue Li showcased the jug in her hand towards the air and exclaid with a small voice. She didn't actually want to attract attention.

Han Li moved his arms and snatched the thing from her. "No more for you!"

just as Yue Li was about to quarrel, Han Li shook his head and threw the jug up using the small string attached to it. The muddy thing flew through the air and, in a passing wind, shifted its course: it moved towards a young man silently drinking so steamy tea so distance away, and Han Li squinted his eyes.

The man looked up lazily and watched as the butt of the jug headed for his nose. "Wow, a man can't even enjoy his tea…" he cursed as he lazily shifted his face and caught the string on the jug with his teeth.

'Sheesh!' he cursed with a sour face again as the mud walls of the small jug hit his jaw.

He silently turned around and looked for the culprit while Han Li looked at him with an inviting hand.

"Were you the one who threw this my way, friend?" he asked as he took the thing in hand.

Han Li looked at him and bowed. "Mistake," he said.

The young man stared at Han Li and then up at the windy air above. The downward areas were rarely affected by these low winds even though so ca and passed: no way soone could so accurately throw this to his head, not so unknown brat.

"Anyway, friend, since it is in my hands, I shall take it." He turned around and no longer minded Han Li, whereas Han Li looked at him with intrigue.

Li Shuanwei, a filthy rich young master of these areas. A quite close son of the Clan Head, a silk pants guy who had often been said to be idiotic or stupid. He was by today more than 30 years old, but the man hadn't even Awakened for once yet.

Not because he had so kind of issue regarding his cultivation—the man just hated cultivation, he heard. Soone who intentionally avoids all kinds of conflict no matter how they ca. A man who likes to sleep at ho rather than wake up to eat.

More than any of that, the renowned poet who grew enchanted by so woman later on, only to get dumped and commit suicide. 'Life Vision' was quite useful to see how people died in the past life.

But Han Li had no reason to ss with the guy. The only reason he threw it was to see the person in action: the youth had idiotically good reflexes. Not to ntion, he knew the rumors were not fake since he could, in fact, see the person's cultivation.

At that age, he was still an Unawakened for no reason.

'An anti-violence person who died for a woman, is he the opposite of ?' Han Li pondered. In everyone's life, they were their own main characters, their own protagonists, while the others beca their side characters. No matter how experienced he grew, he couldn't understand all of human hearts.

That was complicated.

Yue Li moved from the back and hugged Han Li's neck. He carried her and walked away while the other two followed, Liyue basically dragging Li Yao, who was drunk and clinging on to a big jar of alcohol.

After quite a bit of sha for the introverted little lady, of course. Han Li chuckled at them, and they traveled back to their path ho. and while at it, he briefly thought of a poem again, but he shook his head.

"Ah, this night shall have no poems from ! Today is a day for to relax. Liyue, recite your hubby a poem!"

Liyue was startled as she walked behind him with her mother in tow.

"Poem? ?"

"Yeah, you!"

Yue Li's eyebrows danced in intrigue. "Poem! Sing!"

Liyue stayed silent for a while before she took a deep breath and said with a sigh of defeat, "I don't know any poems…"

Han Li shook his head.

"Li Yao, you sing!"

Li Yao looked at him groggily. "Poem? Those are for the scholars, don't ask ."

Han Li sighed. "Mom, your turn."

"Mine?" Han Li nodded.

Yue Li smiled and hugged him tightly.

"Your mother is illiterate, you sing."

Han Li cursed under his breath.
